Just a quick word of warning - this needs to be a subreddit that is clearly not for "I have these symptoms" posts
although I like a lot of the medical subreddits, even the bigger ones that clearly state that they are not for personal medical questions, get a lot of personal medical questions. With a name of 'askMedical' a lot of people may miss interpret the name. Good luck, I might post another comment to get the ball rolling but just be careful.

Numbness on my right thigh
I dont do much workouts or anything to put pressure on my thigh but it feels very weird as if it is numb asf.
2 months ago i was just itching my right thigh since it was itchy and stuff but it kept on getting itchy so i continued to itch it and got a bit more intense on the itching till at some point i started to lose like pain/the proper feeling of my thigh being itched.
About only 2 days later id say—whenever i itched that part where it was feeling weird, for some reason i felt it in my right hip bone as if it was connected or smth for about a week id say before it stopped although the numbness is still there.
And then around 2 weeks ago id guess, i woke up in the middle of the night with a pins and needles feeling but it hurt really bad and i was in a specific position so i kept shifting and everytime id stretch it (im pretty sure) the feeling of pins and needles would come back (Although i am not sure because i was half asleep maybe it was a dream idk)
One thought i had was maybe it came from my surgery but it was on my left abdomen i got that procedure so probably not.
Other then that nothing happened and i can continue on with life with no problems regarding my right thigh but im just wondering what it is.

Negative effects while taking Adderall
Many years ago when I was in 6th grade (I am now 22) I was diagnosed with adhd and prescribed Adderall by a doctor to help me focus in school because my grades were bad. But instead of helping me focus the Adderall made me feel uncomfortably warm, increased my heart rate and made me feel extremely depressed and paranoid. If I took the Adderall in the morning the effects would last pretty much all day and it was a miserable experience. all these factors made it nearly impossible to focus on anything and my grades suffered even more because of it. Instead of taking me off the Adderall my doctor increased the dose assuming that it wasnt strong enough, now granted being that I was a dumb shy kid I didn't tell my doctor about the negative effects I was feeling when I really should have This made the effects even worse as you would imagine. I kept taking the drugs for a few months until I finally told my mother about what I was experiencing and she made me stop taking them.
The thing is I am not even sure i have adhd, I never had trouble focusing compared to other kids around me and im pretty sure the reason my grades were so bad in middle school was because none of the adults in my life ever punished me for having bad grades, my parents never grounded me and my teachers never gave me detention or anything like that so I just never put any effort into my schoolwork because nobody ever gave me a reason to put effort in. I do struggle with procrastination and getting chores done like cleaning and taking out the trash but I think that has more to do with my upbringing than the adhd I allegedly have. since growing up my mother was an alcoholic and a drug addict and my father was always away from home working multiple jobs in order to pay off the huge expenses caused by my mother's addictions our home was always a mess and nobody ever taught me the importance of doing chores. Since middle school I have told all the doctors ive had that I don't think I have adhd but they all insist that I do and I don't know where they get that idea from because I don't think they ever did any tests on me or anything to confirm that diagnosis.
I know that people who have adhd and people who don't are effected differently by Adderall is it normal to get these symptoms from Adderall when you have adhd or was i falsely diagnosed and given a drug would have negative effects on somebody without adhd?

29F with lupus — non-blanching, slightly raised red spots on foot. Possible purpura/vasculitis or something benign?
I noticed a small cluster of red spots on the top of one foot about two days ago. Initially, I thought they were caused by friction from my Birkenstock straps, but after checking, I realized the spots don't actually align with either strap.
There were initially around four spots, possibly increasing to six. They became more prominent yesterday but haven't noticeably changed since. They're slightly raised to the touch, do not blanch with pressure, and are neither painful nor itchy.
For context, I have systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and a history of abnormal clotting-related bloodwork, including possible lupus anticoagulant abnormalities and low platelet counts. I also bruise unusually easily and sometimes develop large, dark bruises with little or no apparent trauma. Vasculitis has been raised as a possibility by specialists in the past, although a previous workup was negative.
I frequently develop petechiae from relatively minor pressure, such as carrying grocery bags or wearing a backpack, and occasionally notice them spontaneously on my chest and breasts.
I realize these spots could be something completely benign, like insect bites, but their non-blanching appearance, slight elevation, and my medical history have me wondering whether they warrant further investigation.
Does this look concerning for palpable purpura or cutaneous small-vessel vasculitis, or could it reasonably be something more benign? Is this worth getting evaluated promptly, or would monitoring for a few days be reasonable?

Freaking out
galleryI just noticed this mark on my back and already have an appointment scheduled for an exam… just curious if anyone else has had anything like this and what the outcome was? I couldn’t tell ya how long I’ve had it but just really caught my attention the other day and doesn’t really seem to match up with pictures of more serious conditions that I’ve seen online.

Do any ERs have ENT equipment/personel?
I am not looking for medical advice nor reassurance.
The doctors I've seen have given me a treatment plan and advice for what to watch out for. But I'm curious -
I had an accident where some small wood shrapnel possibly went up into my nose (think like chainsaw sized 'dust' - small but big enough to actually hurt if it hits your face) and none of my local ERs can see past some superficial parts of my nostril and ENT offices are booking for like 6-10 weeks out.
This seems like an odd thing to me for if my case were some sort of actual emergency (or thing that's better to take care of sooner than later), what would be the course of action? It seems odd an ER wouldn't be able to help me?
