Just a quick word of warning - this needs to be a subreddit that is clearly not for "I have these symptoms" posts

although I like a lot of the medical subreddits, even the bigger ones that clearly state that they are not for personal medical questions, get a lot of personal medical questions. With a name of 'askMedical' a lot of people may miss interpret the name. Good luck, I might post another comment to get the ball rolling but just be careful.

What is this skin on my toe?

Okay, I’ve started walking again now that it’s getting cooler out. I’d say I’ve been back to it for about a month. In the beginning, I got this blister at the top of my toe, but it’s now turned into this weird hard white skin. What is this? A callous?? I have never had one so I don’t know. I also don’t get pedicures done, I do my own nails so I know it’s not anything from that. Please let me know what it is and what I can do to get rid of it.

How much xray/ct is too much?

• Upvotes

I had 1 xray and they found that there was a lung cavity that had pus. Pulmo requested a CT to confirm and after the bronchoscopy I was xrayed again. This happened in the span of 1 week. So that was 2 xray and 1 CT in May

Then I had an xray last week (this is a dental xray though)

However, the pulmo also suggested that I come back with a CT scan in December but I also need another xray for an on the job training for school that will probably be needed in november or December.

summary:

May - 2 lung Xray 1 CT

October - 1 dental xray

December - need to get a CT for follow up and Xray for OJT

Will I be fine if I undergo CT and xray?

pink-red fluid from infected ear, see a doctor?

• Upvotes

i have a left ear infection, really painful, started hearing some staricky sloshy bubbly gurgly sounds and then had even more pain, felt fluid trying to drain, at first it was orangish slightly pink now it was pink and some straight up red… do i need to see a doctor for this? google says my eardrum ruptured but i dont fully trust google so an actual human opinion is appreciated… i took 1000mg tylenol so i could sleep in peace and dont feel the pain rn so idk if its like super painful still. the liquid is now like yellowish watery, but im concerned about the bloody liquid that came out earlier…

Mole removal NSFW

I had a mole removed for the 2nd time 8 days ago (10/6/26). The dermatologist shaved and cauterized it. Ive been keeping it moist with petroleum jelly and a bandaid on top as instructed. I can still see blood thru the bandaids every day with a small amount of yellowish goopies and its still an open wound. I can't tell if what I'm looking at is normal or if I should reach out to my Dr.

Wound is on the mons pubis, about the size of a nickel

I have a painless bump on my uvula, does anyone know what this could be. It’s almost like a round ball and it’s gotten a little bitter over 3 months. It’s painless. I also have been sick off and on and have cobblestone throat from my sickness. I have an ENT appointment next week.

Weird breathing thing

Hey guys so this may feel dramatic or whatever but I've been watching greys anatomy and been getting in my head about it so humor me for now

For a while now, I think like 2-3 months maybe? I've had this weird breathing thing where it's really unsatisfying and hard to take a proper breath. One nostril stops working which i know is normal, but then I can't take a proper breath and i feel it in my chest. I'm not like gasping for air or struggling it's just annoying. It happens when I lay down, walk around, or sit. It may only be when I'm in my room, or atleast that's the only time i remember it, could be just dry air.

But yeah. Should I go see a doctor? I really don't want to go for a stupid reason ykwim

PLEASSE don’t say anything that’ll make me crazy more anxious I’m not made for that 😪😪

Stage 4 cancer grandmother

My grandmother is 84 with stage 4 breast cancer that has spread to 4 spots in her brain. She's had brain radiation, her July MRI was stable, and she now refuses more treatment and scans.

Over the past few weeks: worsening back and leg pain, weak legs and trouble standing, slow urination, vomiting and barely eating, constipation, near-complete vision loss in one eye. How long does person live with this it’s 13 months plus since found.

Should I mention this to a doctor?

18 female.
I got really sick around a 1 year ago. It started with constant head pain and pressure that started with the right side of my head and spread to the rest of my head, body pain constant, tremors, twitching, muscle spasms, balance issues, ringing in right ear, things far away blurry, red non itchy rashes, acid reflux, light sensitivity, constant nausea, stomach issues and other symptoms (also everything is weaker and more pain on the right than the left). The reason for this post is something that I thought was mental health issues has been gradually getting a lot worse, during conversations I’ll hear the first few words of a story and it’s like time will jump and I’ll hear the end, my memory issues are so bad (e.g my roommate said while sitting I’ll put something down and then immediately ask where it is or I can’t remember a moment or conversation that just happened), my brain will just trail off and think about something else I don’t remember much of what I’m thinking about while I’m trying to focus and my vision gets more blurry and head hurts more. I have cptsd and bipolar so originally I thought it was probably just that because I’ve always experience memory issues due to my episodes and trauma but it’s just gotten so bad quickly along with my other symptoms. I haven’t brought up the time skips and trailing thoughts to a doctor. My ct scan came out fine, I have a gp appointment and neurology appointment soon I don’t know if it’s worth mentioning?
