This is his short synopsis of the human psyche (his words) I can't tell if I think he's onto something or he's lost the plot, im too dumb to understand what hes trying to say anyways.
His passage:
To escape everything is not freedom, it is surrender to weakness, it is surrender the empty whims of human desire. Feigning voices of what is real scream for man, yet it is man who must resist, true freedom is freedom from yourself.
A hopeless soul is governed by the information it is fed. Like a pig a human mind will consume whatever it is given, praise will manifest confidence, and upon insult it will derive insecurity. Is there truly such thing as a dream? or is there a whim borne of emotion, carved by a path set for you by the words of another. What is curious is that words can hold power despite their wielder. When a man of high status, revered by all, is given praise for his work (even is the praise comes from one beneath him) it still conjures a response of pleasure. This praise need not come from someone beneath you, even when words of encouragement are offered from one unacquainted with your craft, take a baker to a scientist, paise can still in both manifest happiness. This is not an issue or problem with the human mind, and there is no problem with joy, the question I posit is that man is never free, so long as he cares about anyone else.
Why do you continue to work, is it for your own enjoyment, or for the acclaim it may bring if you succeed, or even for money alone. All of these quests are quests borne of slavery. You are a slave to money and a slave to praise. You may ask why I have included personal enjoyment in these quests of a slave, and further you may question why I have rambled a paragraph about words spoken from man to man. I posit that unless your work is an all encompassing drive for complete knowledge, physical or mental, it is not truly what you enjoy.
Man must have meaning, we see it in God. What is God but validation of our own self importance, we gaze up into an infinite universe and what do we ask? Our only question should ever be of how we can enjoy this, enjoy the impossibly rare and unfathomably beautiful gift that is life. But instead we don’t ask this, we ask for a reason, as though one is owed, what selfish scum places their own inconsequential life as central to the universe. Man. I do not mean to suggest that a nihilist approach should be taken, but I do want to reenforce that there doesn’t have to be meaning. Ask yourself, why must there be a reason, why can there just be. How does this lead into personal joy being slavery? Ask yourself another question: why do I enjoy this. Let it be science, English, philosophy, maths, every human has a dream. What you must further question is how in an infinite universe, our curiosity can be so limited. This is where the slavery begins to evolve, no human has one dream, we are all born as God, God is not an eternal validator. God is you. God is unlimited human curiosity. The idea of one dream is not created from a love of a subject, it is created from reenforced praise, praise that shaped your own perception of what it is that you enjoy, what you are good at. You are only free, when you decide to become God.
