from a little birthday gift i wanted to make for miku to actually making art for some of my friends! :DD

am i a "master at art" or anything by any means? hell no- but i do believe i got significantly better at it over the course of ~14 months ;v;

I think the old one was 2017? Unfortunately I don’t know the exact date 😅 but either way it’s been a while

I used to be terrible at drawing. I couldn’t make anything I was satisfied with, and I couldn’t make anything cool. I ESPECIALLY couldn’t make anything I’d ever share with others.

Until I started embracing what made my art mine. I found other artists who had grotesque art styles so I could learn technique, and I found people who entertained others by making the most rancid thing ever seen by human eyes.

I did one caricature sketch, and bang, I found my artistic calling. Then I just kept studying and practicing and getting better! And I had so much fun doing it!

Here’s my progress over the past few years.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not terribly good, but I’m good at making something terrible to look at :D

So don’t get discouraged if your art is unconventional. There are people who will like it :)

The first 7 images are from Procreate. I later switched to paper because it felt more natural to me. Images are in chronological order.

Yoshitaka Amano is my favorite artist. I copy his work first, then try to redraw it from memory.

My goal is to learn from him, find my own style, keep practicing, learn different things and eventually become an artist. This is my first post in this subreddit , and I’ll keep documenting my journey. Welcome any feedback!

Finally i'm so happy with the result

I still love the little chicken 🐤 but proportions are a bit off. Now I Think I'm improving on art with no lineart.
