So, I decided to wear my Apple Watch to sleep, and yes I had a rough night, but that doesn’t really matter. However, I just checked my sleep scores and there’s a quite weird issue, it doesn’t seem to be the same between my iPhone and my Apple Watch. My iPhone’s showing a score of 43/100, while my Apple Watch added 30 extra points. (Ignore the state of my watch btw).
Does anyone know what may be causing this?
Hi everyone! I recently bought an Apple Watch Series 11 42mm.
I'm experiencing inconsistent battery life:
Overnight battery drain varied significantly: 19% over approximately 6 hours on the first night, but only 4% drain over approximately 9 hours the next night after updating to watchOS 27.0.1.
One day, it dropped from 37% to 5% in around 10 hours of usage, with AOD off and three Outdoor Walk workouts totalling 56 minutes.
Charging from 3% to 80% took approximately 55 minutes using Apple's 20W adapter and supplied charging cable, when compared to Apple's advertised claim of 0 to 80% in 30 Mins.
Battery health shows 100%.
For other Series 11 owners, are these results normal? Have you experienced similar issues with watchOS 27.0.1?
Hope it’s okay to post this, anything you grab can sound like a lightsaber! I’ve been having a tom of fun with it, it detects swings, clashes, has Action Button support, stays on when you move around, etc…
Apple watch got delivered today …. Got it for 36500.
Am an an intern doctor got my first apple watch help to maximise its use i planning to hit gym and run
My job doesn't allow phones or watches on wrist yet I needed this to access the outside world (cellular) it buckles to my jeans and into the watch pocket (that nobody uses in the 21st century) lol
This is a strange thing to remove without providing another seamless solution to close apps which might be running in the background in some way.
I have read the article which mentions when you want to close a particular app, have it open and press the side button until you see the power off slider at the bottom and then press the crown to close that app. But what about apps that you may have opened inadvertently… how do you now see other apps that have been left open now?
I had my 8 since it came out and worked fine most of the time with a few hiccups. I use it daily for fitness tracking for which HR readings are pretty important.
Quite suspiciously since the new “improved HR sensor” came out, this one barely tracks my HR, like 40% of my runs have missing readings. I’m not doing anything different, I clean them after every run.
Since the iOS 27 update and the issues with the workouts, if I were to order a replacement through apple care, would I be able to not update it when I set it up or would I have to update it to iOS 27 to restore from backup?
My dad had a bad fall yesterday and went into the trauma ER yesterday. Just a couple of hours ago, we received messages that a bad fall was detected through the Apple Watch and when I checked the location of it, it was going down a highway driving near an airport before his watch died. We locked it and put it in lost mode and rang the ringer before it died. I messaged the emt that took my dad into the hospital (he called me earlier to tell me what was going on) & he told me he saw it on my dad before he left the hospital. The charge nurse only noted that it had my dads phone on him. What more can I do to figure out what happened? Do hospitals have cameras?
i updated the watch to the newest software and since then the autosleep app gets no more data. i already checked if its still allowed to access the data in the health app but no changes there so i wonder what happened?
I use a MacBook for work and have airpods, but I am still on Android. Not planning to switch to Iphone anytime soon. Now I have an apple watch too. Can I somehow connect it with my android phone and then use it properly with my Mac?
Hi everyone! I’m a 20-year-old woman, and my Apple Watch recently recorded a VO2 max of 27.5 ml/kg/min, which Health classifies as “Low” for my age. I feel very cooked, idk if it is accurately because i have the watch for 8 days
I looked up VO2 max charts online and found information suggesting that low values are associated with a significantly increased risk of all-cause mortality. I saw a chart mentioning a 76% difference in risk, and it honestly scared me.
I’ve also experienced occasional dizziness and shortness of breath, sometimes during physical activity. My oxygen saturation has shown 99% on my Apple Watch.
I’m worried that this low VO2 max could indicate an underlying heart or lung problem, or even an increased risk of sudden cardiac arrest.
I was expecting my order to arrive later this week, but when I noticed local stores suddenly had the white ceramic in stock, I rushed over to pick one up instead!
I wanted to pair my friends Apple Watch to my phone which needed a reset and then it asked for an update which is not downloading at all. I know that there is an issue with ios 27 but my phone is on ios 26.7 and the watch is also on the setup layout so cant access anything on the watch
On October 11 I bought Apple Watch Ultra 2 at iosys used tech store in Japan, but since Monday it’s been randomly playing Linking Park Wake exactly at 13:10 every day. Sadly I don’t have the video of this yet.
I have Minutes to Midnight downloaded on my phone (but I don’t think this matters)
So I’ve been looking for a decent tamagotchi-style pet for my Apple Watch for a while, but honestly most apps on the App Store are either full of random ads/subscriptions or just look like those generic pink cartoon cats.
Not really my thing, so I decided to spend a couple of weekends building one myself.
A few things I focused on while making this:
- It won't die on you: I hate when virtual pets guilt-trip you for being busy. If you don't use it, it just goes to sleep on your watch face instead of dying.
- Steps = Energy: You feed it simply by walking around (via HealthKit). No microtransactions to buy virtual food.
- Haptics: I spent way too much time tweaking CoreHaptics so when you tap the screen, it gives a really crisp haptic rumble that feels like the creature is actually reacting inside the watch.
- OLED friendly: Pure black background so it doesn't kill your battery. Works as a native complication on Modular / Ultra watch faces.
It’s built 100% natively in SwiftUI and runs entirely on the watch without needing your phone nearby.
I’m hoping to get a small group to try it out soon to test battery usage on different watch sizes.
Would love to get some feedback or ideas on what kind of evolutions/creatures I should draw next!
Also open to any feedback or ideas on what kind of evolutions/creatures I should draw next. Cheers!
Just upgraded from the 40mm SE 2 to the 42mm series 12. My first watch was the 38mm series 3 (which I no longer own - you have to settle with an old screen cap for reference.) While I’m enjoying the technical upgrades of my series 12, I’m really missing the smaller size of the SE2.
Apple Watch sizes keep getting bigger and bigger! The 42mm feels like it’s really reaching the limit of what I can comfortably wear without as someone with tiny wrists.
I really love the design of the Apple Watch Ultra. The flat screen is SO much more appealing to me than the curved sides of the series watch (though I much prefer the bronze I went with…). But that doesn’t matter, because I can’t really reasonably wear a 49mm watch! When I tried it on in store it looked ridiculous.
Listen, I know I have much smaller arms than average. But it makes me sad that small watches are dying! I’m hoping Apple doesn’t keep creeping up watch sizes even more…
This is how Apple made a T-Rule in their products. For example, to have a warranty on an Apple Watch that costs $330, you should start your warranty within 60 days of purchasing the watch. At the same time, the watch has a 1-year warranty, which means you are paying 10 months extra, costing around $35. The normal watch can last around 5 to 6 years ($210 - $252). To fix the watch, you need to be $69. Total will be $315. After all these payments, you will get a new old model watch, and they can trade it for $40. The time required to get your watch back can take more than 3 weeks because it's an old version, and the stock is not available.
