How much more scrutiny will i face?

As the title suggests I am wanting to know how much more scrutiny/tougher will it be for me to adopt.

Some context,

34 year single male, full time job in local country hospital in pharmacy normal hours M-F 8-5, have been working in the pharmacy field due over 13 years

Financially stable, saving up to buy my own house(3/2 mobile home on it own land not in a community/park)

I have done my own research and this is not something spur of the moment, I know that I am willing choosing to become a single parent to a child and that the child will need more support and love and patience because of what they went thru.

I know about the classes that are required the home study and the background check that will be done and the interviews with my family and that i would need to show that I have a good support system.

I knew of the fact that there is a case worker who will determine to see if the child and I would be a good fit for one another and the meet ups/visit that happen before the the final over night visit is done.

The thing that I am worried about is that iwould like to adopt a girl 6-8 yrs old.

And I know when I say that immediately red flags appear, there will be no way to avoid them, but I want to know how much more scrutiny will I be under and would they the local state adopt agency approve me or just right out rejected me and I should just not even try?
