A few years ago we ran surveys of this subreddit to gather data on your experiences for a variety of things. Which resources are the most effective? How much time outside of class do you spend? Did your score reflect your grade in class?
These surveys were ran a couple times and, along with a few other polls, turned into results posts for 24 different AP courses. Unfortunately, the posts were deleted some time back. I still have the data though and am now recompiling them.
Here's the schedule I'm going to try and get these posted on
It is important to note that this is self-reported data from a community of high scorers, after receiving their score. It does not reflect the general population, and people who did well on the exams were also more likely to report their experience. Some results, like average scores, should not be taken at face value. Other results like resource effectiveness, are still valuable compared to one another.
Once I have finished posting each of the courses, I will do a comparisons and conclusions post to rank courses by difficulty, expectation, etc.
Also note that we are planning to run these surveys again this year for more data after score release.
Good luck in your classes everyone!

So I'm taking the psat and sat pretty soon.
I've generally been a pretty good student (good grades, honors, aps, etc). On the psat 9 and 10 i got the equivalent to a 1200-1300 on the sat (below my goal for the sat, but a decent place to build from). When I do Khan academy practice questions I get pretty much every one right. But as soon as i do a practice pdf SAT from the collegeboard I get really bad scores (1000-1100).
This is one of the practice tests that i took - directly from the college board website: https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/media/pdf/psat-nmsqt-psat-10-practice-test-3.pdf
Is there a reason for this? I take the both exams soon so i need tpo get my scores up quick.
Any recommendations for study resources?

I am currently in AP literature and I don’t think my teacher is following the AP curriculum in the slightest. I’m not exaggerating this at all but our school week looks like the following:
Monday: “Article of the week” which is a front and back paper that all we have to do is annotate it
Tuesday: Continue working on the article of the week (so nothing because it takes 10 minutes at most to do)
Wednesday: Study for the vocab test
Thursday: Vocab test (10 words that are not challenging in the slightest)
Friday: free write Friday (answer a prompt with a simple paragraph)
I have spoken to students who took the class last year who said that they never once even looked at the list of of the recommended(required?) books. I’m not complaining about an easy A but if I’m paying to take the test I want to have even a little chance at passing it.

Basically, I’m doing this dual enrollment program where I go to my local community college full-time and graduate my associates degree in data science, but I’m still in high school however, when I transfer, I wanna transfer to my state school for computer science because of that I wanna try and get my core computer science courses that don’t need in university or maybe even dual major done now when it’s cheaper, but it’s not in my course pathway so they wont let me take it my choices to take my required computer. Science courses are paying $700 or taking the AP. CSA exam but I need to get a five or else I won’t get the credit at all for context, I have a lot of experience with Python machine, learning and some with r studio should I self study the csa exam risk doing bad or pay 700 dollars ( I don’t wanna pay the 700 but is it possible to get a 5 in my situation)

I studied relentlessly for hours on end just to score a 62%. Im considering dropping the class if I don’t do well on this retake exam, which I don’t want to I’m majoring in economics and it would be a good class. I have a remediation next Monday and the test after school on Tuesday. That sounds like cramming which isn’t for me(planning to study over the weekend somehow). I need help with the MCQ’s I can’t find any good practice examples that actually help, they are always too easy. I understand the FRQ’s just fine but because of the lack of MCQ practice I find I’m not too good at it. I always stop at the two questions that could be right but somehow pick the wrong one most of the time. Recommend some YouTube channels and it MCQ practice sites. HELP!

Hey, we’re a few high schoolers building an ML model that tries to predict procrastination from stuff like workload, sleep, and screen time. AP students seemed like the right crowd to ask, for obvious reasons lol.
survey’s here: https://forms.gle/ucSyhpLXeRFiJePZ9
It takes about 3 minutes, fully anonymous (no names or emails), and it’s open to anyone currently in high school. For the screen time question, your phone’s settings will have the actual number if you want to be accurate (decimal is PREFERRED tho).
We’ll post what the model finds once it’s done. Appreciate it, and good luck with APs.

As the title suggests. Is revisiting old pages in the notebook once in a while good enough? here's so many resources and I'm honestly lost. How do you prep for AP Human FRQs and super niche questions?

I am self studying both AP Calc AB and AP CSA for this year. I finished the first two units of AP CALC AB and the first unit of AP CSA using CSAwesome2 and flipped math. My questions:
Are these two sources reliable to study on?
Where can I find Practice exams? Should I buy Princeton/Barron? Should I wait until my school opens the AP classroom and are practices there enough?

Hi! This is my first time posting, and I'm here asking for advice. I'm a 10th grade student taking AP Government, and I'm honestly struggling. I've been trying to find time to study, but it's been difficult to balance everything.
I'm also taking an anatomy class that requires a lot of memorization. I find it hard to remember information for both classes, especially when there's so much content to learn. On top of that, I do wrestling, which takes up a lot of my time, so finding time to study after school and keep up with my assignments can be challenging.
I also struggle with dyslexia, which can make working. with written information more difficult. I'd really appreciate advice on study methods that work well for someone with dyslexia, especially in writing.
One of my biggest struggles in AP Gov is FRQs. I have trouble figuring out how to organize my thoughts and write strong answers that meet the requirements of the questions. I'd love to hear any tips on how to improve my FRQs, understand what the prompts are asking, and feel more confident when answering them.
Overall, I'm looking for advice on how to study efficiently, manage my time between school, wrestling, and my other responsibilities, and remember information without spending hours studying every day. I really want to improve in both classes, but I'm not sure where to start or what study methods would work best for me.
I'd genuinely appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi y'all! I am an 11th grader planning to enroll for APs next year, either in German or Psychology. I am homeschooling currently. But the thing is,the bluebook app is not supported in any of the devices i own. I do have an old windows which is 13 years old,but i fear it is quite old and i do not want interruptions during the final exams. Can you guys suggest me other options,so that i can get bluebook in it? Thank you.⭐️

Im taking B.C rn and am panicking about the test, I can only get 3-5 mabye 6 points right on frqs, Ive forgot stuff on washer and disk method and other earlier things. MCs aren't much better with me usually getting 5-8/10 right and my grade rn is an 82 as there is no curve. All I want is a 3 to pass and skip Calc 1 if I can. If I don't get a subscore of 3 I have to do pre calc or take the b.s cooked entry test. So a lot is riding on one test and Im panicking rn

Hello, I’m in a pickle of whether I should take AP Statistics or AP Pre-Calculus over the summer to get ahead. But, from what I heard AP Statistics is a solid, easy AP in which would fit perfect for my Junior class schedule since it could replace my spanish class which I would no longer need to take or should I go ahead and self-study Pre-Calculus now so that during the summer It’ll act as a buffer for the enhanced pace of learning AP Pre-Calculus over the summer.
Just a little bit curious about this — thanks.

So i’m a freshmen and I’m taking ap bio because of a magnet program I’m in. I knew it’d be difficult but not that difficult… The MRQs and FRQS are so confusing and formatted off and for my first test I got a 46. My average dropped from a 94 to an 83.9 and I don’t think I can get it up. I got sick over the week and there was a group project I wasn’t able to participate in- we got an 87.5 and it increased my grade to an 85.2. I don’t know how i’m gonna be able to get it up to at least an A-. I have 2-3 majors left… I think i’m screwed and my teacher doesn’t give any extra credits or curves. What do i do?

for context my calc ab teacher is known to be difficult. I came from advanced pre calc. most people who came from advanced have similar grades like me. So far we have done Unit one and 2 I have gotten like a B a B+ a C and a C+ . My grade is currently a B-. we are halfway through the first quarter. These unit 2 test that everyone got b-a I got a 79
there is a tutor that bassicly specializes in this teacher. One of my friends after going to her pulled his grade from failing into a A. but she is really really exspensive. Im looking for advice on what to do because I can’t afford this tutor.

So my school didn’t offer AP Precalc last year (my school is arts focused so not many people choose to take high level maths). Despite this I took normal Precalc, but I also took the AP Exam for Precalc. Obviously I got the college credit, but did I get the GPA Boost even though it wasn’t technically an AP class?

I need to have at least 20 submissions in order to write a paper for the assignment I’m doing. I’d really appreciate it if I’d get some opinions so the data couldn’t be super skewed towards one thing or another.

In this game you will guess whether a formula on an AP Science test was derived or experimentally determined, to give an example Ohm's law was experimentally determined from observations and the Kinematic equations were derived from calculus.
I will give you two equation from each AP Science and you will have to guess if it was determined through experiments or derived from previous equations (assumed that definitions are considered derived)
AP Environmental Science
Net Primary Productivity
NPP = GPP - R
Rule of 70
T₂ = 70/r
AP Psychology
Weber's equation
ΔI / I = k
Classical IQ Formula
IQ = (Mental Age / Chronological Age) * 100
AP Biology
Solute Potential formula
Ψs = −iCRT
Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium
p2 + 2pq + q2 = 1
AP Chemistry
Ideal Gas Law
PV = nRT
Rate Law
Rate = k[A]m[B]n
AP Physics 1
Fluid continuity
A₁v₁ = A₂v₂
Static Friction inequality
|Fբ| ≤ |μFₙ|
AP Physics 2
First Law of Thermodynamics
ΔU = Q + W
Thin lens/mirror equation
1/f = 1/dₒ + 1/dᵢ
AP Physics C: Mechanics
Rotational Kinetic Energy
K = (1/2)Iω²
Parallel Axis theorem
I = I꜀ₘ + Md2
AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism
Ampere's Law
∮ B · dl = μ₀ · Iₑₙ꜀ₗ
∮ E · dA = qₑₙ꜀ₗ/ε₀
Outside of AP:
Time dilatation formula for speed
t = t₀ / sqrt(1 - v²/c²)
Hubble's law
v = H₀d

is it worth it to self-study for multiple AP exams outside of school?
I'm currently taking only 4 academic classes (all aps) this year due to my schedule being occupied by mandatory credits for classes like PE and health. my school doesn't offer many AP classes. i was thinking of trying to self-study for the ap gov exam, and maybe another class like human geo. is it possible to start studying now and is it worth it at all? ive also still not yet decided which aps to fully commit to if i were to choose to take their exams.
