Question PLEASE HELP ME!

Hi! This is my first time posting, and I'm here asking for advice. I'm a 10th grade student taking AP Government, and I'm honestly struggling. I've been trying to find time to study, but it's been difficult to balance everything.

I'm also taking an anatomy class that requires a lot of memorization. I find it hard to remember information for both classes, especially when there's so much content to learn. On top of that, I do wrestling, which takes up a lot of my time, so finding time to study after school and keep up with my assignments can be challenging.

I also struggle with dyslexia, which can make working. with written information more difficult. I'd really appreciate advice on study methods that work well for someone with dyslexia, especially in writing.

One of my biggest struggles in AP Gov is FRQs. I have trouble figuring out how to organize my thoughts and write strong answers that meet the requirements of the questions. I'd love to hear any tips on how to improve my FRQs, understand what the prompts are asking, and feel more confident when answering them.

Overall, I'm looking for advice on how to study efficiently, manage my time between school, wrestling, and my other responsibilities, and remember information without spending hours studying every day. I really want to improve in both classes, but I'm not sure where to start or what study methods would work best for me.

I'd genuinely appreciate it. Thank you.

Take a deep breath son its october. If anything the struggle your having is normal even if we didn't consider the dyslexia. This is your first AP right? so your not exactly used to AP Coursework. Its a growing pain like a new video game, you dont know the controls at first and you flop around on the floor until you work at it and figure it out.

My Gov hasn't even gotten to FRQs yet since we did a big project (a mock election from the stump speeches to the final election)

A good thing for FRQ's in general even beyond GOV is to have a baseline understanding of the content. If your able to brainstorm off of what you know. I don't know if you tried this yet but Heimler Heimler Heimler. Heimler. Heimler. Take notes on the videos if you are able but even listening to those videos will help you out. Hes mainly known for AP History but also has excellent AP Government study material, maybe even buy his guide if you ever get to spend any money on this course besides the exam that is where.

A good study habit may even be to dedicate 15 mins a weekday to study at home as soon as you get back from wrestling before doing ANYTHING ELSE. (30 mins the day before test) You'd be surprised how effective that can be without encroaching on your leisure or wrestling time.

Now since I haven't done these myself yet and Im not dyslexic I won't be able to help you there but soon someones gonna comment and help you there.

What Im saying is understand your struggle is NORMAL. You are not behind & by being in any AP shows your a step above most at the very least. Your taking college credit THREE years ahead of the average person so of course your gonna have some bumps dyslexia or not. Keep going man I hope you make it out!
