I was going to buy some extension cables and stumbled upon the TVs playing Avantgardey's music video with my 3D models (the whole city) on the background. Super random, but extremely happy to see them being used in such a high profile environment (I sell them in 3D marketplaces).

So i just completed my Gshock model. I made it primarily for a advert i am creating for it. But i have heard from some people that one can sell these kinds of models on internet. Is it possible and can this model be sold like that? Maybe i get a good burger out of it😂

I want to create diamond like this in a procedural way. I know I can place it manually, but it was time consuming. Does anyone know how to achieve this using any software?

A Little Experiment in Creature Horror
This piece started as a quick personal project squeezed in between client jobs, but it soon turned into something much more enjoyable than expected and
sculpting the tiny creature fetus was great fun!

My Caribbean Reef Octopus has just gone through some major upgrades. So happy with how it is rendering now.
These images have No Photoshop or post production. Straight renders with VRay and 3D Max. Modeled in 3D Max, Sculpted in ZBrush, and texture painted in ZBrush and Photoshop.

I wanted to improve my skills and do something worthy of a great portfolio. The only problem - it took me awfully long time to make it, I haven't done such detailed wirk with semi-organic shapes like this stock in a very long time, I don't like this stock (because I think the sheer idea i weird), but I took it specifically to train myself to do such stuff.
It's a draft that I will get into zBrush and add bevels and little details there.
What do you think?
P.S. Tried to render it real time with Cycles using new DLSS RR denoiser - that's really sick

So, I'm trying to get around to modeling my character in 3D with Blender. But, one of the quirks of the character is that her large bang covers up the left side of her face. Always. Like the left side is never seen, nor the eye. And I'm trying to figure out how that would work with the hair, because I still want that to relatively have some reasonable movement and physics.
Does anyone have any advice or tutorials or references for something I could use to figure out what to do?

I basically completed this watch but now it want to bend the straps inwards but at the same time the whole strap cannot bend.
The upper red part is stiff rubber and as it moves into the green part its bendy. How to achieve this on both sides inwards.
I tried simple deform and it absolutely did not work.

I modeled this guy in blender using subdiv modifier, textured in substance. Haven't really done much 3D modeling other than for concept art, but found this workflow to work very well!

DEEP CITY PROJECT — RECORD 039
A 3D reconstruction of the Underworld during Expedition EX2407pD-QW (2407 CE / 306 p.A.).
Deep City was originally composed of four massive structural blocks suspended inside an enormous underground cavern. All four have now collapsed onto the cavern floor.
The Underworld's cubic structures remain partially submerged in a radioactive substance, with no detectable energy emissions.
This environment is part of my ongoing personal science fiction project, developed through 3D modeling and rendering.

Portfolio: https://franrodriguezmorales.artstation.com
Hey everyone! I'm Frank, a 3D Character Artist from Spain, and I'm hoping to get some honest feedback from people working in the industry or anyone with experience in character art.
I finished my studies about four months ago, and I've been trying to land my first job ever since. I've applied to countless positions on LinkedIn, sent emails directly to studios, and reached out whenever I found an opportunity that seemed like a good fit.
Unfortunately, I haven't had any luck so far. Most of the time, I receive a generic rejection email, and quite often I don't hear back at all.
I know the industry is competitive, especially for junior artists, and I'm not expecting to land a job overnight. However, after months of applying without making any progress, I'm starting to wonder whether there's something fundamental I'm missing or something in my portfolio that's holding me back.
I've included one of my pieces in this post as well.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on things like:
- Technical skills: Are my modeling, sculpting, anatomy, texturing, and materials up to industry standards?
- Presentation: Are my renders, lighting, camera angles, and breakdowns showcasing my work effectively?
- Portfolio quality: Are my pieces strong enough for a junior character artist position, or do they need significant improvement?
- Portfolio direction: Is there anything missing that studios typically expect to see from a junior character artist?
- Recruitment: If you work in the industry, is there anything in my portfolio that might make you hesitate to hire me?
Please don't feel the need to sugarcoat your feedback. I'd much rather hear what I'm doing wrong and have a chance to improve than keep applying without understanding what's holding me back.
Any feedback, advice, or personal experience would mean a lot to me. I'm genuinely motivated to improve, and I want to make the most of this stage of my career.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and check out my work. I really appreciate it! :)

I've been working as a 3D artist creating VRChat avatars on Fiverr, and there's something I've noticed that genuinely frustrates me.
I've had several people, mostly from Nigeria (although sometimes their profiles show other countries), contact me and place orders for custom VRChat avatars.
After chatting with them, I often get the feeling that they're not the actual buyers. It seems like they're middlemen who find clients elsewhere and then outsource the work to artists like me for a much lower price.
What I don't understand is how these people manage to find clients while I, as someone who actually creates the avatars, struggle to find buyers.
I spend hours modeling, texturing, rigging, and making sure everything works properly in VRChat, yet somehow these middlemen seem to be better at getting commissions than the artists doing the actual work.
I'm not against people outsourcing work, but it's frustrating knowing that someone might be making more money just by connecting buyers with artists.
So my question is: Where are they finding these clients? Discord? Reddit? VRChat communities? Some other platforms I don't know about?
I'd love to hear from other VRChat artists who have experienced this. How do you find direct clients without relying entirely on Fiverr?
Any genuine advice would be appreciated!

The first one, where the model is a single model, where the ring is part of the cube,it can't be take off,if doing it the cube will look like two separate cube without top-down face.
Or the second one, where it is basically two cube, the blue is a cube not a ring but when put here it as the same result as the first single model one,and it is faster doing the model.
For the result,It look like the same, but the second one use less triangle.
Which one is the most used, and why?
(Note, the picture is just to make a idea of what I'm trying to say,the picture used both are the second type).
