Announcement 📣 A note on criticism, negativity, and how we treat each other

Posted by the moderation team

We've been watching a pattern unfold in this sub and it needs to be addressed directly. his post isn't here to silence anyone, it's here to remind everyone what this community was build for and what it will not tolerate going forward.

Criticism is allowed not negativity if you believe the later should be allowed we propose you leave.

CRITICISM ≠ HATRED, AND WE KNOW THE DIFFERENCE

You are absolutely welcome to criticize the show, its writing, its direction, its characters. That is valid engagement. What is not valid is wrapping contempt for other fans inside the language of "just being critical." If your post or comment is designed to make someone feel stupid for enjoying something, that is not criticism. That is targeted negativity, and it will be treated as such.

STOP LABELLING PEOPLE FOR LIKING THINGS

This sub was made for people who watch and enjoy this show. Calling someone fake, pretentious, or an andh bhakt because they liked something - an episode, the editing, the fact that the budget has visibly increased, is not a critique. It is condescension, plain and simple. People are allowed to appreciate what they appreciate without being mocked for it. You do not get to decide what is and isn't worth enjoying, and you certainly don't get to make someone feel small for pointing out something positive. That behaviour will not be tolerated here.

CRITICIZE THE SHOW, NOT THE PEOPLE WATCHING IT

Your right to criticize ends at the show itself. You do not have the right to go after people who are enjoying it. Disagreeing with someone's take is fine. Mocking them, condescending to them, or implying they lack intelligence for liking something, is not. Crossing that line will get you pushback, and you need to take it like a champ. Don't come crying to the sub about a "bubble" or a "toxic fanbase" when people call you out for behaviour you started. If it continues after that, it will get you removed.

THE "I'M LEAVING THE SHOW" POSTS NEED TO STOP

If the show has become so unwatchable that you feel the need to announce your departure repeatedly - why are you still here? You are allowed to stop watching. You are allowed to be disappointed. But using this sub as a platform to constantly perform your exit is disruptive to everyone who is still actively engaging with the show. If you've truly checked out, check out. If you haven't, then engage, but drop the theatrics.

And one more thing - if someone is telling you to stop watching after a while, it might not always be dismissiveness. Sometimes it is coming from a genuinely concerned place. If you are visibly miserable every single time you engage with this show, people around you are going to notice and wonder why you are still putting yourself through it. That is a fair question. Why are you? Take your health seriously. Check out and Come back when you're ready to pick it up. We will be waiting.

IF YOUR POSTS KEEP GETTING HARSH REACTIONS, REFLECT ON THAT

Several users have said they feel "scared" to post because of how people respond to them. We take that seriously, but we also ask you to take a hard, honest look at your own pattern. If every post you make receives the same frustrated pushback from multiple different people, the issue may not be the sub. It may be your tone. It may be that you're posting the same complaints repeatedly and people are exhausted from explaining the same things over and over. Hiding behind "I'm just scared to post" while continuing to post inflammatory takes is not a good-faith position.

REPETITIVE NEGATIVITY WILL BE MODERATED

There is a difference between one well-articulated critical post and the same complaint posted three times a week in different wording. The latter clogs the sub, exhausts the community, and adds nothing new to the conversation. If you've said it before and it didn't land, posting it again isn't persistence - it's spam. We will start removing repetitive low-effort negativity posts going forward.

THIS SUB IS NOT A SPACE TO VENT AT FANS

Frustration with a show is valid. Frustration with other fans is also understandable. But this sub is not your outlet for either. Posts and comments that exist purely to vent anger at people who enjoy the show will be removed without warning. The moment your target shifts from the show to the people watching it, you've crossed a line.

To be clear about where we stand:

Criticism of the show → always welcome.
Negativity directed at fans → not tolerated.
Constructive debate → encouraged.
Calling out someone's tone respectfully → fine.
Calling someone fake, pretentious or andh bhakt for enjoying something → grounds for a ban.

We want this to be a sub where genuine fans can talk freely, the enthusiastic ones, the critical ones, and everyone in between. That only works if everyone extends basic respect to each other.

Manali mein Love ka Operation! ❄️❤️‍🩹 Magic & Myth of Manali Track

I actually wanted to share this before the Manali track started - but sooner than later - based on my understanding, here's what to expect (or not) from the this track.

This is janhit mai jaari so that we can (hopefully) enjoy what we are served and don't crash out on what they undercook (because they will).

Magic: If these two episodes and the promo are anything to go by, watch the track for a) Heewab's beautiful performance and chemistry; b) Much-needed progress in storyline; c) Amazing direction and cinematography; and d) favourite Bollywood songs and OSTs in a picturesque, aesthetic landscape.

Myth: Manali track will change everything. Don't expect the track to compensate for the flawed, repetitive writing or expect dialogues with depth or no screen space for newbies or criminal villians. Only thing I expect is no ragebait during these episodes and if they reveal Heer's trauma, they do it with sensitivity.

We may get a reveal of trauma and Gulab's scheming eventually, a soulful (re)union, but let's take it by the episode. Even if they show some insightful dialogues, I'm not expecting it to continue post Manali.

I feel whoever has stuck around this show despite it's very glaring flaws deserves to enjoy this track wholeheartedly. To watch an outdoor shoot (instead of the police station - hospital repeat), witness raw, real conversations between Heewab, and all romantic tropes between the leads. It's just closure. Hoping for the best 🤞🏽

Nawab and I are the same right now.

We are both running on scraps. Me on scraps of time and the remainder of my functioning brain cells. Him on scraps of Heer's love (thanks for this line u/NilanjanaChowdhury), and his broken self.

Because I get Nawab is being unhinged. And irrational. And acting like a crazy, jealous, possessive guy, who would otherwise not only be difficult, but problemetic to root for.

But pain and fear make you do crazy things.

They sap you off of everything good inside you. Make you do things that, in normal circumstances, you would not even think of doing. Turn you into a completely different person, who is just plain unpleasant to deal with. Who you feel no empathy for.

Nawab is turning into someone like that because he is in unimaginable pain. I understand him. And relate to him. A lot more than I want to.

He has absolutely nothing going for him. Nothing. The girl he loves claims to hate him. Has pushed him away in the most brutal and humiliating way possible. And yet he is holding on. Because his heart refuses to give up. On their love. And her.

But holding on isn't easy. It takes a toll on you. And that's why he's at his most unhinged. He doesn't know whether to love her or hate her, feel bad for her or blame her for everything that is happening to him.

Which is why, I feel, one good thing from yesterday's episode was the reveal that whatever happened to Heer, was because of Nawab. Because he now at least knows why Heer is hiding the truth from him. Because maybe, again, she is trying to protect him. There's no way of being sure of that. But Nawab isn't rational right now (he isn't most of the times anyway). So he's just scrapping his way out of this hellhole with whatever is being thrown at him and just making do with it. Exactly how much and for how long can he do this just because his heart is telling him to, remains to be seen.

Heer is turning into someone like that too.

And I get her for the same reasons. She is alone. And afraid. And just not rational. She's clearly not in a good state mentally, and is barely surviving at this point. What I don't get (and this stupid writing choice), is her harsh treatment of Nawab. What exactly has he done to deserve being treated like this from her, even though she knows that her 'act' in court and even right now has zero conviction and credibility? She can worry about Nawab when he is not around. But not when he is right in front of her, unless he is actively hurting himself?

I get this is a build up. I also get this writing choice is meant to push Nawab to his limits. But it's repetitive and exhausting and I am hoping and praying there is a point to this because I don't want to have this naggy, unpleasant feeling while watching episodes otherwise filled with such breathtaking beauty all around.

Nawab has done more than enough. He has taken the 6 pheras for both of them. He's taken all leaps of faith to try to break the walls between them and around her. He has done whatever it takes so their relationship can survive.

It's Heer's turn now. She needs to make Nawab feel all the love that she still harbors for him but is just not ready to show it. She needs to treat him with the same care and understanding that he's done so far. Crazy, unhinged, broken understanding but nevertheless out of pure love. He deserves that. She needs to take a leap of faith too. It's not an overnight thing. It'll take time. But my patience is wearing thin. And so is Nawab's. And we both need some respite from all this.

It takes an extraordinary ability for a character to annoy you, even when you're scrolling past their scenes. But that's the effect Fateh's scenes have on me and it's getting worse with every episode. Every scene with Heer is totally unnecessary because you don't need jealousy to throw Nawab into unhinged territory right now. He is already there. He's just sinking deeper because of all this and it's absolutely unpleasant to watch.

I do think (hope) all of this has a point. I just can't wait to reach there.

Manali mein Love ka Operation! ❄️❤️‍🩹 The nok jhok and jealousy is getting repetitive. Spoiler

I absolutely their nok jhok. But that scene just before they found the bag and that nok jhok felt so out of place. That whole bee talk and nawab calling heer his life’s honey and all????!!! Wasn’t heer trying to push him away why make her have this banter with him in her baby voice???

And we need to stop repeating the jealous vibes in literally every other scene. They need to space it out well so there isn’t too much of both in the same ep.

I liked the ep or maybe it’s just the vibe of new scenery. Some scenes that i liked:

* That jacket scene in the jungle and the way nawab pulled heer close by that jacket and especially that head grab . So so so hot!!! (How am i supposed to get this visual out of my head)

* Heer pulling nawab by his jacket and his face. He loves it when she does that.

*”Gadhe kabse sher ki awaaz nikalne lage”

* Calling heer fateh’s bhabhi. So unhinged. I love whatever is wrong with nawab.

* The bag throwing in anger. (Nawab hulk hai kya itna dur kaise pheka bag)

*Raza looking so so hot in every frame.

Some scenes that felt so unnecessary :

*newbies scenes
* Fateh trying too hard.
* Fateh and heer falling on the bed. Absolutely unnecessary. (Nawab walking towards them was giving me so much anxiety)
* Heer sudden dance sequence on patakha guddi. Jass was looking so cute but it was so cringe.
* their nok jhok and that bee talk and then fateh’s entry.

It was an okay ep. I am liking the visuals. The shots and everything especially nawab walking in the corridor towards heer’s room that was shot well. And i love love love jealous nawab but we need more that jealousy.

Criticism 📃 Too many dance sequences !!!!

• Upvotes

It is beyond irritating, how much they break into a dance and song, considering that they are a drama. Like how many times are you going to dance? Why dance in every episode. Please the writers should get more pay so they can write more scenes. Maybe fire the choreographers. Is this a specialty of the production house?

Thoughts On Episode 👀 I didn't like today's episode

• Upvotes

man I'm just tired of seeing the same things in a recycled way

I find all these jealousy monotonous and boring

Locations badal gye hai but the story is still same ...

Heer's character needs to be developed, her actions are out of my mind... I'm trying to find her pov in the whole episode and get none

She's unnecessary harsh towards Nawab..that boy is still fighting and doesn't deserve this much pain and suffering

I think we audience are at fault here because we absolutely love and enjoy Nawab's Junooniyat and his pain but atp his Junooniyat even looked shallow to me ... there's no point of showing unnecessary characters between Heewab

ok it's a fiction but I'm seriously worried for Nawab's mental health...this boy has left his cricket, his dreams and everything that made him happy for his love and got nothing in return

Kya tha aaj ka ep??😭😭 Like i was just laughing bas😭 Matlab Kuch bhi?😭😭

Bhai I genuinely hated the fact that he threw her suitcase and then said kay

"Suitcase kay liyay itna ro rahi ho divorce kay time to nahi roye thi?😍"

Like brother😍Uss suitcase main uski cheezay thi😍And mind you SHE WAS crying during divorce too😍

But nahi gussa nikalna tha Bhai Sahab ko😍

And also waris literally Itnay achay dialogues kay beech main called cherry andhi😭😭😭 Like plss lmao😭😭😭 But she was absolutely right today because why is he stopping her?She has told him multiple times kay she likes Fateh and he said he'll help her and now he's suddenly saying kay nahi janay du ga? Like wth?

The nok jhok was cute in the jungle I would say😭Him wrapping his jacket around her was cute😝And the way he grabbed the collar of the jacket and pulled her closer was so good too😭🤌🤌 But why did heer looked so scared??😭 Like she looked like she was about to cry😭

AND THEN OMGGGGGG WHAT THE GENUINE HELL WAS THAT PATAKHA GUDDI SEQUENCE??😭😭😭YAY HEER EK DAM SAY KYU DANCE KAR RAHI THI??😭😭OR KESAY DANCE KAR RAHI THU??OR RUK KYU NAHI RAHI THI??😭😭 PURAY RASTAY DANCE KIYA HAI USS NAY OMG JUST TO PROVE WOH KHUSH HAI NAWAB KAY BEGAIR OMG😭😭

Then she saw Fateh and dragged him with her then we had that completely unnecessary scene of them falling which made absolutely zero sense actually! And also it looks like heer is gonna USE Fateh to make Nawab to stay away from her but I'm afraid iss main Fateh ki feelings are gonna be hurt as he's gonna think she likes him or something which I know she's said it multiple times but I just hope she doesn't engage with fateh at all!

That being said Nawab ko devdas bana diya lmao😭😭He looked so aggressive when he was talking with buzo kay

"NAHI BATAYE GI?NAHI BATAYE GI KYA?" Like brother calm down🙂👍🙏

I just want good dialogues like I am literally begging because all of these dialogues are pissing me off so much!Plss lord inn writers kay dimaag main aqal daal do😭🙏And let them write something good😭🙏

Manali mein Love ka Operation! ❄️❤️‍🩹 The Jungle Scene Was Actually Good… Until the Patakha Guddi Sequence

• Upvotes

Okay, now that I've calmed down a bit and thought about the scene a little more, I actually think the jungle scene works really well. And this is coming from someone who initially disliked it.

Disclaimer: I haven't rewatched the scene or episode, so I'm going entirely by my first viewing.

Honestly, the scene works surprisingly well, especially the jacket scene, the pulls, the intense eye contact, and the expressions. The banter is very HeeWab coded, and underneath all the teasing, there's clearly a lot of emotion.

We know how it begins Nawab throwing Heer's suitcase away in jealousy after seeing 🎸 hold her hand. Heer goes looking for it, and Nawab follows her into the jungle, making lion like growling noises to scare/tease her and when she realises it's him, she calls him a gadha and we get their usual banter.

Then he notices that she's shivering and offers her his jacket. She refuses and throws it back at him, so he gives it to her again. When she tries to refuse a second time, he pulls her closer, and THAT MOMENT??

The intense looks, his expressions, her teary doe eyes, the way he's looking at her and asking her what's wrong… IT WORKS. There's so much unsaid emotion in that moment. Especially when he tells her she's not happy and she insists that she is.

And that's where my problem begins.

AND THIS IS WHERE IT GOES DOWN THE DRAIN.....

I enjoy Nach Baliye moments, I genuinely do they are fillers but still cute fluff and I enjoyed yesterday's dance a lot.

But here, the dance felt so out of place that it completely broke the emotional flow of the scene for me. I genuinely didn't understand what the purpose of that sequence was.

Heer was literally on the verge of tears a moment ago. Nawab had pulled her closer, was looking at her intensely, and was trying to understand what was going on with her. She was looking at him with those teary eyes, and the scene had built up this lovely tension between them.

And then suddenly she's dancing???

The transition felt so jarring. It took me out of the moment completely, and I think that's actually why I initially disliked the entire jungle scene. I was reacting to how the dance sequence disrupted the scene rather than to the scene itself.

Because, on second thought everything till the jacket scene was actually good. And even after the dance, the scene gets back on track with their banter about whether Heer is actually happy and what's really going on with her.

Personally, I think the scene would've worked much better if Heer had simply insisted, a little more assertively and almost aggressively that she was happy.

She could've handed Nawab his jacket back and walked away, just as she does in the actual scene, without the dance sequence.

Imagine her insisting that she's happy while she's clearly struggling to hold herself together, and then walking away before Nawab can get anything more out of her.

That would've preserved the tension and the emotion of the moment while showing how desperately she's trying to convince both him and herself that she's fine.

Sometimes less is more especially when the actors are already conveying so much through their expressions and body language.

And then there's 🎸 , his presence in the scene still doesn't make much sense to me at all. His appearance interrupts the HeeWab bubble a little, but that's a separate issue.

Overall, I don't think the jungle scene is bad at all I think it has some genuinely lovely HeeWab moments.

It's just that the sudden Patakha Guddi sequence felt unnecessary and took away from what was otherwise a pretty good scene.

And that clouded my judgement for the whole episode, so much so I felt it was entirely skippable and nothing burger which it's not.

Because we were finally introduced to a new character from Heer's past and who for once wasn't a villain.

Anyway, these are just my thoughts after letting it set in...

What you guys think ? Did you enjoy the dance sequence, or did it break the emotional flow for you as well and took you out of the loop too....

Thoughts On Episode 👀 OKAY TODAYS EPISODE WAS OKAAYYY

• Upvotes

so todays ep was kinda filler and i expected it lol bcs they have more intense and yk NICEEE eps coming up so they had to put the filler on

but i feel like the filler wasnt that bad, ppl like nawabs junooniyat somuch, thats why they use it as jealousy . which feels like the same recycled track.. , the nok jhok was cute just the DANCE WAS SO OUT OF NOWHERE IT CAUGHT ME OFF GAURD, instead of it being cute it felt funny to me lol , but honestly thats so heer. when she wants to get some shi done she will adapt the weirdest ways nd they r so funny. but guys the FATEH HEER SHIT is too much, its like the photoshoot eps where they made heer call arjun like a thousand times and sm ppl CA heer bcs of that..PERSONALLY WHILE WATCHING THE EP I FORWARD all of this, but ofc in posts , x , reddit, we have to crashout about fatehheeer so they know not to go ahead w this BS they r trying to put out.

but the frames. are so beautiful. it does justice to the beauty razmeet are.

WE ARE IN FOR A RIDE SO HOLD ONNNNNN

Down the memory lane🥹📝📺 PART 1: Rescuing each other's dreams

I realised I can actually yap about this show's OG storyline so much, so I decided to do a series of my favourite scenes/episode analysis to share my thoughts, as I couldn't get to it on my first watch!

For any key episodes, I'll highlight the number if I remembered it but otherwise, it's going to be be mostly me rambling about the track as a whole...

Episode 1

It’s only the first 30 minutes of a new show, but it already tells us everything we need to know about Nawab and Heer, to root for them as characters.

Heer and Nawab are more similar than they even know… they both have dreams and goals that are relatable for the age bracket of college-going kids and ones that are beyond romance itself, that even if there was no possibility this was a romance show, there are aspects of them the audience can immediately relate to.

The second thing I love about this sequence is this establishes quite early on what roles they play in each other’s life. She selflessly puts herself in harm’s way to help someone, and Nawab is blindsided to the impacts his actions cause others while he singlehandedly focuses on his cricket.

These themes continue for the first at least 120 episodes of the show (in my eyes, the best phase of our show 🫶)

The other aspect I really loved about HeeWab (and I guess this also is a reoccurring theme), their alternating glances 🥹❤️ They always catch a glimpse of the other when the other has their back towards them… it’s out-of-sync just enough to know they’re not on the same page yet, but they’re the ones made for each other! 🫶

Even the multiple renditions of Maahi Ve in this clip strike the right emotion: the slow verse when he lovingly hugs his bat, the escalating chorus as they separate ways denoting that this won't be their only interaction… AH, CINEMA! 😭❤️

Also, there is a shot of them showing they go separate ways in front of a Gurudwara… I feel this is the specialty or what draws me to ITV over other genres of drama. There is such a magical element to soulmatism when God is involved 🫶

Finally this line of Nawab’s: “Tumhaare liye yeh sirf bat hoga, mere liye meri life hai” is something Heer herself can immediately relate with… tying back to how they share similarities they don’t even realise!

Will be back with Part 2 soon!

Discuss Ifta awards?

So it's an old topic but then too we can still vote and make tjjd,Raza, jasmeet , sangita mam, abhishek win

I KNOW it looks like are biased towards Shashi sumeet production but if it's like that then we can spam about it

Why I also think it's biased is : let's imagine rimjhim is at 1st without any unfair thing but how can pati brahmachari be at 3rd? Last month it was at 3rd for a long time it's obvious that yrkkh ,seher ,etc fanbase is way bigger and on reddit tjjd fanbase is really huge so how can it be at 2nd it should be at 1st

There is only one logic behind rimjhim being in top 3 is youtube
