Marxists are worse than Al qaeda. Karl Marx brought hell to millions because people misinterpreted him for a century. A one world society can only be realized when people like kasu realize that the ultimate goal of the us and its allies is the exact same thing as Marxism. Collective security is already a reality, once nations realize that they don’t have to waste their resources on maintaining these useless armies, then can then be used to clothe, feed, and house every man woman and child on earth. In 2010, no nation can attack another nation. Each nation is dependent on other nations success for their own success. Notice how I’m not labelling myself as an “-ist” or copying this from someone else’s words

Thélyson Orélien’s AI masterpiece

Well another day another dollar or another predictable fraud.

I could have written a book AI or otherwise about a fraud who passes himself off among western literary circles as the next literary Messiah with tales of heroic journeys on a boat coming to your shores soon.

That he would deny proudly your accusations as white privilege and that you just don't get how other folk think or write.

But the real sinners in all this are those who sell their souls and yours too and just to sell a book that the uneducated would scoff at. It takes a certain level of social achievement to buy so willingly into such folly. The ordinary folk don't have time for such nonsense.

And even when he says a mea culpa I did steal this and that but I'm a true saint now and that for sure isn't AI. But at least and you can tell my looking at me I wouldn't ever claim to run a bunch of marathons in a week! Or just maybe I could write a book about a marathon running professor that definitely write his own stuff and was crucified for being off white. Now there's an idea!

Help! Having trouble fitting my kinks organically into a fantasy setting.

Like the title says, I'm struggling to organically make my fantasy setting one big, sloggy love letter to my own fetishes.

In the land of Glk'glk'glk'uaaa (pronounced BOO-bah), magic works on the basis of elaborately ritualistic bare-bottom spankings. The most powerful magic users in this setting, the Aes Sedai (should I change the name?), is mostly made up of twinky anthropomorphic cat boys and muscular gothy Mommies in big stomping boots.

Here's the problem. The hero, busty bisexual beauty Loona'frum'helluvaboss, is facing the BBEG. They're both naked, of course, for reasons I'll think of later. Loona'frum'helluvaboss isn't strong enough to take the BBEG in a one-on-one tongue duel yet. But all her companions are either strapped to a velvet and onyx caning bench or draped over the firm yet loving knee of Ogrix the Hot Ogre.

How can I make it so all their combined magic is stored in an object of some kind? Like an item that will activate the magic all at once if you strike someone firmly on their bare skin with it?

Pen Name Issue

Need some HONEST feedback. So obviously I need a pen name to be a writer, and chippy and dippy is fun and all but I have a better idea:

Grooming Cats

Because I like to groom myself like a cat. But I am getting so much negative feedback! People don't like it! They're telling me grooming is problematic and means something else. But actually it's not problematic at all and you're overthinking.

How do I write REAL fantasy like Brandon Sanderson and dungeon crawler Carl?

I’m tired of the fantasy genre being upheld by all these non-literary romantasy books. How do I be like the authors doing serious writing and not mass market writing?

I got rejected from art school twice and I genuinely don't know what to do with my life anymore

idk man im kinda at a loss at this point.

I moved to Vienna because I genuinely thought I could make something out of myself as an artist. This is basically the only thing I've ever actually wanted to do. My dad wanted me to get a normal government job or whatever but that sounded fucking miserable so I figured I'd at least try.

I had a little inheritance so for a while I was honestly chilling. Didn't really have to work and could just focus on drawing, reading, walking around the city, etc. Which in retrospect was maybe not the best financial strategy lmao.

The problem is I applied to the art academy here and got rejected.

Then I applied again.

Rejected again 💀

Apparently my buildings and architecture are decent but my people aren't good enough. Which honestly pisses me off because I feel like some of my stuff is not THAT bad. Like yeah I'm not some fucking renaissance master but twice??? Damn bro.

And the worst part is trying to be an artist right now just feels completely cooked anyway.

Like what is even the point of learning how to paint anymore when some guy can type "beautiful Austrian city watercolor trending on artstation highly detailed" into a machine and generate 400 images in 30 seconds. Then you look at the hands and there's 9 fingers but somehow that shit still gets 80k likes.

Every website is just AI slop now. Every search result is AI. Every company is adding AI to shit that absolutely did not need AI. I opened my banking app the other day and they're like "meet your new AI financial companion." Brother I have 14 schillings. Leave me alone.

And apparently they're building these massive data centers everywhere now too so we can burn the electrical output of a small nation generating pictures of anime women holding signs with misspelled words.

Very cool civilization we've built here 👍

Anyway I've been trying to make some money doing little watercolor paintings of buildings around Vienna and selling them to people. Basically whatever tourists/frame shops will actually buy. It's not exactly the artistic career I imagined lol.

Half the people are probably gonna accuse me of using AI anyway.

"this architecture looks AI generated"

brother I am literally standing in front of the building

Money is getting pretty bad now too. The inheritance is basically cooked and I've had to downgrade where I'm living a few times. Rent is also fucking insane now apparently because every moderately desirable city on earth has decided housing should function like bitcoin.

At this rate I might actually end up in a men's shelter which is fucking insane considering like two years ago I thought I was gonna be studying art professionally.

My friend meanwhile got into music school basically immediately so thats cool 👍 love that for him

He keeps telling me I should just network more too.

Network with WHO dude. Every "creative networking event" is like 70% startup founders trying to make LinkedIn for dogs and 30% dudes selling courses about personal branding.

Also apparently having a normal job isn't even safe anymore because every CEO wakes up in the morning and goes "what if we replaced 40% of the staff with an LLM and called it efficiency."

Awesome.

Really glad I was born during whatever this period of history is.

I don't even hate technology either. I think some of this stuff is genuinely cool. It's just like... can we have ONE THING that doesn't immediately get turned into a subscription service, surveillance platform or GPU cluster.

I've been reading a lot lately and getting weirdly interested in politics because honestly the more I look around the more I feel like something has gone fundamentally wrong here lmao.

Maybe art just isn't my thing.

Maybe I need a completely different career path.

Anyone else get rejected from art school multiple times and still eventually figure their life out?

Is this idea original

Hey guys. So I wrote a book. I was worried that if I read other books, I would be influenced by them. To be entirely original, I decided to never read any books ever. I want to ask people who have read books if my ideas haven’t been in any books before (I think they shouldn’t have as I am an original, completely uninfluenced and genius writer but I want to be sure)
Here is my story idea: My protagonist is kind of like a hero. And he has to go on like a journey, a hero’s journey you could say. He is like a special chosen person, like a chosen one. He has to overcome a villain, the villain is like a monster, a great evil. To do this he kind of has to go on like a quest. This quest forces the hero to change, a sort of rebirth, he kind of like develops. Like he is a character that develops. Also he has a wise mentor to aid him early in the development, but I also made it so the mentor dies eventually. Also, the hero is a poor guy and he kind of is in rags. But then he becomes rich. Like he goes from rags to like riches. The hero does this while in his quest, and he has to travel, like voyage as part of his quest. He also has to find the special item. I was thinking of a mac computer and Big Mac from McDonalds so I named the item mac first. Then I decided it should be like a special muffin. But I misspelled muffin. So the item is called the MacGuffin. Sometimes, sad things happen from like you know a character has flaw and it will end badly, and that is like tragic. Also sometimes I added like funny moments, like jokes, kind of like comedic things. Along his journey the hero meets new people and friends, and they sort of become a family. Like he has found a family. I set up to story in three parts. The first part is like the setup. The second part is like the conflict or confrontation. And the third part is like the resolution. Is this original?

My new story is about a father who reincarnates in another world and ends up with a harem that comprises the souls of his genderbent sons and daughters, who also got reincarnated.

Stephen King said the road to hell is paved with adverbs. Respectfully, I’ve decided to pave it myself.

Here is a sample:

Slowly.
Quietly. Hesitantly. Desperately.
“Seriously?”
“Absolutely.”
Suddenly. Violently. Wetly.
Unnecessarily. Publicly.
“Legally?”
“Technically.”
Afterward, tenderly. Regretfully.
Financially, catastrophically.
Finally, inevitably, posthumously.
Allegedly.

Sick, right?

I call the style, “BYON”, or, bring your own nouns.

In a world of fanfiction, a book can never be finished

Just a quick shower thought. If fanfiction is made based on your story, it's like an extra chapter has been added. Now, don't dismiss what I said as mere metaphor, as that simile is key:

A reader can continue reading the story long after the intended ending.

If you start writing another book, aren't you effectively abandoning the old one as unfinished? And if the reader hasn't read all the fanfic, well did they even finish it?

This could be devastating for real authors, as not one single soul has ever finished their stories.

0% completion rate.

Of course, this is only a problem if you have fanfic made of your story, so we should still be safe.

But still, what can real publishers do to make sure a story is finished?

Want to make a Main character that’s “Unconventional”

Toying with this idea of wanting to make a Main character that’s really Unconventional, something that feels unique and interesting not cookie cutter. Maybe I’ll give them piercing, and definitely NOT both parents.

How do I avoid "soil map storytelling" in this instance?

Recently, I've been advised to avoid "soil map storytelling" when writing, i.e. focusing too much on fleshing out hyper-specific, irrelevant worldbuilding details such as what types of soil are found in various parts of my world.

However, my story is about an agricultural biologist who gets isekaied, so the chemical composition of the soil is integral to the plot. Should I fade to black every time my protagonist examines the soil, or should I make her incompetent at her job, and just say "yep, that's dirt. It all looks the same to me"?

Or better yet, should I change the entire direction of the story by making the protagonist a marine biologist instead? I've already created an entire ecosystem of plankton that live in my world, including fantasy fish larvae, crustaceans, cyanobacteria, and two original animal phyla, and I've been struggling to figure out how to integrate that into my story.
