Solved! Bought it from the thrift store
Main questions, even if the exact item isn't found, is it food/dishwasher/microwave safe or just a collectable?

So odd I love it. It's beautiful

u/angrybackgroundnoise 9h ago
That's why I got it "oh that's weird, anyway it's mine now"

That's exactly how I ended up with the "all seeing lemon" from Etsy. And those pickle girls! I'm still trying to find those unique oddity groups

My parents have these! They’re older than I am and I’ve got a few decades on me…use them as collectibles and maybe only hand wash with very gentle soap if you want to use them

It’s 30 year old ceramic. Things break and become rare as they age… hence: vintage.
But in general terms 20 years or older is often considered vintage. And yes, we are getting old.4

My sister got me one of these for my birthday a few years ago. I absolutely love it but it gets used sparingly and always hand washed.

My family had one of these in the 90s for years until it broke. We never even drank Bailey's, just somehow acquired the mug. Always creeped me out.

Apparently they were designed by American actress Helen Hunt, circa 1996. Handwash is best, I got one at a thrift store awhile back and one dishwasher cycle dulled the metallic parts

Good and weird to know! For some reason, I have an irrational hatred for Helen Hunt. But immediately thought of “Chip” from Beauty and the Beast.

I have a picture of an identical teacup somewhere on my phone that I found at an antique store in AR somewhere. I'll try to find it.

My sister has a set of these. We call them her winky cups. We only hand wash them and only use them sparingly. We always get a good laugh when we pull them out.

I remember seeing those as part of holiday gift packs a few years ago. They were packaged in a box with a large clear window that contained a bottle of Bailey’s and two cups. They are intended to be used, but I would hand wash them.

I came across three of them together. They are weird and cool at the same time!

I got these as a gift one year, with a bottle of Baileys. They came as a couple. Cute couple!

I have some I got free with purchase of Bailey’s back in the 90’s. Mine are painted a little differently. Looks like yours was made specifically for the LA Youth Network.

I found the same one at a thrift shop in high school and bought it for my teacup collection!

oh man my grandparents used to have some of those!! the entire time they had them i never saw them used tho, they were purely display pieces, so unfortunately i have no answers to your question on how to wash them

Bailey’s Irish coffee mug. This is a funny gift that gets passed around every year at Christmas here.

I don't know anything about this cup, but I love it. What a great find.

Nice find!
But youth networks and liquor companies really shouldn't be mixed up with each other.
