New, what is it? Small prophet object - water device on bed?

What is this thing ? At first I thought it was an old CPAP and then an espresso machine!

Wow.
I was guessing maybe some sort of humidifier.
It never occurred to me someone would want bedside tea when they first wake up.
When I wake up I want to get up and go pee.

Maybe he spends more time in bed bc of health reasons or likes to read in bed 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, that's possible.
But both of those reasons would not need to be tied to an alarm clock.
People who are bedridden or just enjoying time in bed reading are typically not using an alarm to wake them up at a set time for their tea.

It does kind of give me Wallace and Gromit vibes though. :)

C’mon now, that’s not true. If I lived alone it would be nice to wake up (alarm), do my morning routine, and return to bed to enjoy a cup of tea 🫖 (this is not the first time I’ve searched for a “pinky up” emoji. Don’t judge 😅).

He may have to take medication at a certain time or is prompt about his reading schedule. Book clubs can be brutal if you don’t keep up!

I had to google Wallace and Gromit. I’m in the US 😊

I googled “ Goblin Teasmade 854 “ and it was marketed as a bedside tea maker! The company is/was based in England.

I'm in the US as well.
I wasn't trying to obtuse. I thought Wallace and Gromit were pretty well known.

But also I watch a lot of British / BBC type programs.
When I was younger, cable tv wasn't a thing and I lived kind of close to Canada so half the stations we got were Canadian.
