Foul Friends When the vape addiction can’t wait until after your ceremony

u/fbresnah 9d ago
What was the point of him throwing it during the ceremony? Couldn't they wait at least until after? Yes I'm a smoker, but I'm not that desperate.

u/recovery_room 9d ago
Right? Dude, just keep it in your pocket. You don’t have to jettison it while your poor bride walks down the aisle.
63
u/AdmiralBroccoli 8d ago
Not if you can see the outline in his pocket! I've seen many brides annoyed because of sunglasses and phones etc visible on wedding photos!
5
u/Fast_Restaurant6488 6d ago
Was at a wedding last weekend and the photographer wanted everyone to leave their phones in the car or reception area during the ceremony so that nothing could be seen in pockets and "ruin her pictures."
9
u/Journius 8d ago
I was just in a wedding last weekend. I somewhat get it, but it was maddening how many times we had to empty our pockets because pictures might be happening.
49
u/AussieDaz 8d ago
I’m sure this isn’t their reason but when I got married I gave my phone to my brother because it looks shit in your pocket for pictures
41
u/fbresnah 8d ago
This reminds me of a video I saw where the bride and groom we're walking down the aisle, and the groom was actually looking down at his cell phone. You can't put your cell phone away for five minutes while you get married?

Instant annulment.
90
u/Jabbles22 9d ago
Looks like this is before the ceremony, so they aren't even married yet.
91
u/carniewesso68 9d ago
Even better. All the bride needs to do is walk back down that aisle and call it a day. Lol
8
u/CarpenterAutomatic30 9d ago
why do people think the ceremony is the actual legal marriage?
28
u/Jabbles22 9d ago
I doesn't have to be but it certainly can be. Most of the weddings I've been to they sign the marriage certificate after the ceremony.
10
u/sofaverde 9d ago
I think there should be a new rule where it's saved to sign on your 1 year anniversary after the wedding. Then you will have a better idea if you actually made a good decision or not and probably help the divorce rates go down.
3
u/Marguerite_Moonstone 8d ago
Pretty sure that’s pretty much the annulment laws in Vagus, although no need to go back to sign it.
2
u/crospingtonfrotz 7d ago
Do you mean Vegas?
2
u/Marguerite_Moonstone 6d ago
Yes. I spelled it a bunch of ways and none looked right. Dyslexia strikes again.
2
u/AbulatorySquid 8d ago
I've performed quite a few. I often have them sign at the rehearsal the day before. I also performed a wedding for a couple who came to town the day before. The license isn't valid for 24 hours in my state so I fudged the time.
2
u/Adventurous_Ad_6546 8d ago
Sometimes it is, and for the others I think it’s just kind of culturally embedded in us.

u/Sandusky666 9d ago
You gotta go way high on that toss to make sure and avoid gram gram, that’s on the thrower in my opinion lmao
343
u/pasta_chovie 9d ago
Fuck that, don’t signal to your friends to throw shit over people’s heads, especially old lady’s. Both of them are assholes for that.
59
u/Sandusky666 9d ago
6
u/jordan4290 9d ago
Don’t listen to that to that guy. Sounds like someone with a bad arm.
Gotta hit the receiver with a back shoulder pass to avoid the defender
6
u/Sandusky666 9d ago
Yeah that guy’s just trying to fuck that grandmama, sicko.
Precisely my point amigo.

u/Perle1234 9d ago
This video is on YouTube. The man purposefully threw that at the grandmother. The wedding party and guests all laughed at it, and told the grandmother it fell from the tree when she questioned it, and kept shushing her. The entirety of the comment section talked about how funny it was and what a legend the thrower was. Honestly, I’m done with people. There’s no hope for the world if that is our next generation of lawmakers, doctors, lawyers, teachers etc. I’m so very glad my children did not reproduce.

YouTube is a cesspool. My best friend completely changed after he spent a few years only viewing stuff on YouTube.
2
5
u/Bondollar 9d ago
Does he say that he threw it at her purposefully?
6
u/Perle1234 9d ago
The other video was longer. I could be attributing the comments inappropriately. It was so mean and the comments assumed intent but you’ve made me realize idk for sure and o really don’t want to go search for it bc it was honestly disturbing and I don’t want to watch it again. I’m middle aged and a professional. My grandma is long deceased but if someone treated her like that I feel like I would revert to a teenager and beat someone’s ass over it. 😡
3
u/Bondollar 9d ago
Yeah for sure, just be disgusted by what actually happened rather than what you assume happened. There's plenty of shittiness on display without making shit up.

Wow, and everyone around the poor woman just gaslights her. Super classy.
(Unrelated, but it says that this post was posted on the subreddit a whole day ago, but it's just gaining traction now? I've noticed this a few times on other subreddits too, where good, subreddit-fitting posts were uploaded a whole day ago just sitting a zero upvotes and comments. It's so weird)

u/flavortron 9d ago
They changed the app recently, it’s made everything kind of discombobulated

For a while I was getting almost exclusively 4+ day old posts on my feed. Its slightly better this week, but still pretty bad

I had a delay while mods checked the post, so I wonder if that reflects my original posting time but not when mods allowed it to be seen

Thought I saw this before. Glad it's in the right place now. It was posted in a make me smile reddit with a majority of comments laughing at the exchange and bro-ing with the guys 🙄
Comments that called it out as rude and trashy were downvoted and the replies were as dissapointing as the recorded behavior LOL
Edit: Looks like the og post that had a ton of traction and positive interaction got deleted.

Vaping is genuinely so cringe like 💀

u/recovery_room 9d ago
It’s very, very similar to a soother. And that all I see when grown men are sucking on them impulsively.

46
u/Tatidanidean1 9d ago
Gaslighting her and telling her to shush is wild work 😭 it looked metal. Poor thing that probably hurt a lot
14
u/lagomorphed 9d ago
That's just lying, not gaslighting.
8
u/Tatidanidean1 9d ago
Doubting their perception of reality by saying she got hit by something falling from the tree sounds like gaslighting to me. But I’m not too familiar with the clinical definition so
15
u/lagomorphed 9d ago
My dude gaslighting is not doing this ONE time. It's sustained over a period of time.

u/mouldymolly13 6d ago
The fact that this person was so quick to think of a lie means they are likelyv used to lying to a lot of people in their life. What a looser.
104
u/JayCDee 9d ago
It feels more like he doesn’t want it in his pocket to avoid the bulge it might make in the suit no?
194
u/Dajmibuzi_dzieki 9d ago
Too bad he didn’t have a best man or groomsmen to calmly hand it to, instead of making a spectacle and launching it at poor grandma. 😂
3
4
u/Korosorio 9d ago
Yes, this is the correct reason. The groom didn’t want anything in his pockets for the photos.
37
29
u/pasta_chovie 9d ago
Tells your friends to throw something hard over a very old lady, lady gets hit in the head, she looks confused and upset, picks up the vape instead of checking on her, then proceeds to lie and gaslight here by saying it was a pine cone. Then for some inexplicable reason, he’s proud enough to upload this to the internet.
Someone should’ve thrown this complete asshole out of the wedding. Someone needs to protect that lady.

Yes, looks like The Lodge at Two Moons in Oakhurst, CA.

Vapers suck tbh. It's ridiculous how pathetic they look. I once saw a couple getting out of a car with their kid and while walking a few steps from the car to the store they had to make sure to get their vape hits in, it was sad seeing that especially with a little girl in tow.
21
u/grumbledork 9d ago
god I'm so thankful to have fully kicked the habit. It looks so stupid but feels sooooo good. Haven't smoked in over a year and a half and I look forward to KEEPING IT THAT WAY!
5
37
u/Seaweed-Basic 9d ago
I grew up with two parents that constantly had a cigarette in their hands, even chain smoked in the car. Much rather have a parent who discreetly vapes. But yeah, vapes are douche kazoos.
-10
u/TacoStrong 9d ago
There was nothing discreet about it. They did it out in the open and were parked 4 parking spaces from the front door of a Walgreens not to mention the small amount of smoke that is still exhaled near the entrance for anyone to breathe in.
7
4
u/throwawaymentality10 7d ago
Better that than getting ash flung into your face and eyes and constant 2nd hand smoke in your lungs. As a kid of chain smokers, the best day was learning my mom started vaping instead, she ended up quitting soon after.
2
u/goingpt 7d ago
I always point this out to my partner. I see people going into the store all the time and puffing on their vapes right up to the entry point as if they're never going to vape again. Even had someone (with kids of course) that just physically couldn't wait until they got outside to vape.
it's honestly the most pathetic thing I've ever witnessed. I agree, anyone that looks vapes looks pathetic.
2
u/TacoStrong 7d ago
"r. I see people going into the store all the time and puffing on their vapes right up to the entry point as if they're never going to vape again."
That's exactly what it felt like. They were literally a few steps from the door to that Walgreens.

Shows how selfish you are that you think vaping doesn't have any affect on the people around you when in reality, I and others have to breathe that shit in against our will.
I don't go around thinking I'm better than other people, unless I see someone vaping, then I know I'm better than them.

Sorry Grandma, gotta get my nic fix.
Seriously though, I randomly see people vaping in the worst public situations. At least cigarette smokers usually go around the corner and are ashamed of their addiction.
4
u/WitchofGremlinEnergy 7d ago
The bride was clearly walking down the isle. How fucking trashy of vape guy.
8
u/SrGrimey 9d ago
This was way better than the “vape cloud” I was expecting from the people gathered in the distance.
3
u/linzkisloski 8d ago
I saw a post on a wedding sub recently about a bride asking how other brides planned on storing their vapes during the wedding. Like if they got a dress with pockets or in their cleavage. The comments ate her up lol.

This has to be in Tennessee, because it’s the most redneckest thing I’ve ever seen, it’s right up there with a horse taking a shit during a ceremony

i originally died laughing when i saw this because of she sheer ridiculousness of it all. so stupid but stupidity funny. NOT funny if she was actually hurt, which speaking as someone who has been absolutely domed in the skull by a vape, it probably did hurt for a good minute. funny story to tell later and DEFINITELY to tell her what actually happened instead of lying to her forever, but i’m likely in the minority of thinking it was kinda funny and stupid. i know granny is gonna be okay and no lifelong damage will come from the actual equivalent of a pinecone falling on her head from a much higher distance. dumb, stupid, selfish, but kinda funny🤷♀️

What's so hilarious about hitting an elderly lady in the head with a vape during a wedding ceremony? It's disrespectful and rude

The groom wanted it out of his pocket. That’s what this conversation was about. Because it was obviously in there and they’re worried about the video or photos.

The catcher who filmed & posted it.

This isn’t at all appropriate behavior for a wedding, even if he was just trying to get it out of his pocket. But I burst out laughing when poor grandma got sniped like that 😂 it shouldnt be funny but this is such a ridiculous situation lol
