Basketball Thoughts After Exhibition
Biggest thing we have to figure out is who will be the third scorer after Tahaad and Overton. Was hoping Dowd would prove he could be that guy, but he was non existent last night. Was not looking to score whatsoever. If Mantas can get eligible maybe he could be that guy, or when Freeman gets healthy he can provide a down low scoring threat. Without an inside scoring threat our season will fluctuate on a game by game basis based on how well Overton and Tahaad are shooting. Overton had an off shooting night and the offense struggled. Olsen and Kimble looked good, but I think Olsen is going to get targeted on defense in SEC play. Big men showed some rim protection upside, but got dominated on the boards. They are never going to be inside scoring threats, but need them to at least get rebounds and block shots. I don’t know how other people feel about this, but I don’t think Tahaad is at his best when playing PG. To reach our ceiling I think we need Overton, Kimble, or maybe Williams to be the lead ball handler and just let Tahaad focus on scoring. I think we have more depth than last year and more defensive upside, but if we don’t find inside scoring we’ll be living and dying by the three and have an up and down year. I think we’ll make the tournament, but SEC is going to be a blood bath this year.

Basketball Super excited for basketball. Does anyone know the planned rotation or have predictions?
Just as the title says.
I'm thinking it'll be like this, but let me know where I'm off.
Guards:
Tahaad Pettiford - 30+ min
Kevin Overton - 30+ min
George Kimble - 10 min
Caleb Williams - 5 min
Kolby King - 5 min
Wings:
Mantas - 20 min?
Thomas Dowd - 20 min?
Adam Olsen - 20 min?
Owen Freeman - 20 min?
Center:
Bukky - 20 min?
Narcisse - 20 min?
Am I crazy or are we really 11 Deep?
Keshaun Singleton was arrested before Tenn.
Title says it all. He was arrested before the Tenn game and missed zero time. Where is the consistency? You can't talk about setting a standard or culture while you are giving some players a pass, especially a pass for getting arrested.

Opinion Auburn bars in NYC?
Hello all,
I will be in NYC this weekend to watch Giants vs Saints on Sunday. I was wondering if anyone knew about any good bars to watch the Auburn v Georgia game on Saturday with other Auburn fans?
If anybody has any ideas, let me know. War eagle!

[Armchair Analyst Monday] - October 12, 2026
Now that you've had 48 hours to digest both the alcohol and the events of the past weekend, how are you feeling about both last week and the upcoming week? Discussion and analysis about both the previous weeks SEC games as well as upcoming games. Are our in-conference foes looking better than expected? Worse? What did the past weekend do to your confidence in our future matchups?

Anyone else think Golesh will be good if/when we get some talent in?
The scheme looks good and makes sense. The issues I see are players losing 1v1s. But you can blame the coach for bringing them in..
Only issue I see from coaching standpoint is some of the playcalling and too many false starts. Is Chaplin still there?
Overall I think AG got this. Most gangster OC The SEC seen in the 2020s.

Football Way Too Early Roster Predicts? (27-28)
Title. I know a lot of people aren’t exactly excited with what’s been going on with the team, but I want to push that negativity to the side and try to look forward to the future/latter half of this season.
Anybody you’re looking at to fulfill missing gaps after this season? Off the top of my head, I believe we’ll be losing two WRs (Nimrod and one other) and our starting QB due to eligibility limits/graduation. For any positions, who do you see from other schools/programs that you think we could REALISTICALLY nab? Or do you hope we just push up our 2nd/3rd string guys?
I like Tristan, I just need to see him play in a game lol

Who gets fired this year?
Obviously Golesh is safe, but this is still a putrid first season so heads will roll. Question is: who?
In no particular order, I think the most likely to be gone by December are
1. John Cohen (AD)
- Hugh Freeze
- Lucked into Golesh (1am phone call)
- "It's no longer time to be patient" speech followed by Golesh struggling year 1
- Moved home opener
- Paused NIL last year while the rest of the SEC didn't
- 1-10 against Alabama and Georgia last year in football, baseball, and basketball
2. Joel Gordon (OC)
- PPG unchanged from 2025, despite having Byrum Brown and the same offense from USF
- "if you got any insight, let me know" when asked about poor offensive performance
- Most sacks allowed in the SEC through 5 games (18 sacks, next is Arkansas with 12)
- Consistently slow offensive starts
3. Andrew Warsaw (GM)
- Paid average SEC roster prices for a G6 transfer roster. "Brought a knife to a gun fight and still paid gun prices."
- Took $3mil to convince Brown to follow Golesh, not producing
- Failure to secure an SEC o line during the off season
- Failure to retain talent already on the roster (10/11 starts are transfers)

Following the games around the conference this week…
What do you think about the conference; teams we’ve played, those up ahead…
I personally think the conference as a whole is better then average, deeper then expected.
I’m very surprised at the cliff dive that has occurred at a&m. I’m not as surprised that Florida has pulled back, as I don’t think you can have week after week of rah rah turned up to 110% with kids these days, and it sounds like their damage is starting to chirp about some dysfunction building there in Gainesville.
UK looks like they got the local who understands what that program needs. Missouri looks like they can pound the rock but it took them several years to get there… good sign for us long term I think.
On the home front, I would like to see some more formations from offense, and continued efforts in eliminating dumb mistakes, turnovers and self inflicted penalties. Play an offense towards strengths and away from weakness. Oh well I’ll say it, I’m glad we are fighting for a full 4 quarters and we are close.(f freeze btw).
What say you on the team?

Opinion So, y'all still want Sumrall?
Give Golesh time. Ffs. A few years ago, everyone wanted to axe Deboer. He's not looking so bad now. Give Golesh time - he's got the right mindset.
