I watched the full council meeting yesterday, and Karl Johnson said out of the £25 million short fall, they've found and cut £18 million since May, leaving £7 million left to go.
What have they cut or reduced exactly for such significant savings? I've seen the odd £60k here, £100k there, but only a few items, and they've decided to spend an extra £50k on road line painting.
He also said if they make the £25 million shortfall up, it's still a 4.99% council tax rise next year, so I guess we should prepare for that.
