Loops / Clips [Promo] Showing how 7 loops I designed can be arranged to create various mixes inside Resolume

In this set, I wanted to create tension by combining the dark and disturbing with the attractive and sensual.

Seven original VJ loops are combined with effects, trimming, random playback and more to create an extensive Resolume deck.

I even created calm and active versions for most of the columns, making it easier to visualize the drop. Mix between columns and layers to build a flowing mix that stays on-theme.

Let me know what you think!

Question / Help Projection mapping work for big a/v companies, who does this? Does it exist?

Motion graphic jobs for a/v companies, do they exist?

Im a skilled video/ projection artist, my work is mainly personal and experimental projects that I do in a fine art context. My work usually “wows” people , but it doesn’t pay much.

I’d like to think there’s a world where I could be hired by local a/v production companies to design motion graphics/ projection mapping for their clients. I live in a city that has lots of conventions and big corporate events, so there are quite a few of the these a/v companies.

What I want to know, do these types of jobs exist? Who does the designing usually for projected motion graphics at events?

A few things-
I’m 100% happy with boring corporate work.

I’ve tried to shop myself around for this sort of thing, where I’d be using my own equipment, or renting it. But my projectors can’t compete with the professionals. And I found my budget would be drained by the cost of rental equipment. So I want to work with an a/v company that has their own gear.

Projection Mapping Open Source tool to create full dome projections [AI]

Please pardon the slop, maybe this free tool is helpful to someone else.

For adapting 2d content to a full dome show I was looking for a simple tool to move some layers around, simulate the view and create a live dome master. Blendy Dome VJ appears abandoned and i couldn’t find something similar that supports Syphon input.

Dome Sim allows you to input images, videos, syphon or (virtual and real) cameras, move them around a virtual dome and get a feel how the content may behave. It can output the full dome master via syphon or to a dedicated monitor/output.

Realtime / Generative Audio-reactive 3DGS manipulator / audio visualizer

Vibe-coded a free audio-reactive gaussian splat manipulator for Playcanvas engine. Add your splat (or use one of the built-in ones), pair it with your audio source, tweak the endless parameters and get lost in splatty psychedelia 😉

Plz let me know what you think

Bro tips:
- try out the masks
- note effect group randomize + mute/solo
- check supersplat for more downlodable splats if you don’t have your own
- note the ”pop-out” button, it allows to have the viz window and settings separately (on different screens) if needed

Question / Help Simple but effective project for my Wedding, questions

• Upvotes

Hello! Long time fan of projection mapping/vjing but have yet to really dive into a project myself. But my wedding will be in June of next year and the venue has given us access to 3 ceiling mounted projectors that I would love to utilize!

Little background about myself, I have some decent understanding of photoshop and similar software, and to a slightly lesser extent After effects. I don't currently have access to either software but have a pretty good Photoshop alternative i use. Im fairly technically/Engineering inclined so those kinds of concepts aren't lost on me. Here's some relevant info I have.

Venue: It's a studio style space all the walls are effectively giant solid white screens, with the walls sloping gently into the floors (no hard angles at the floor level). The projectors are lined up to face one full wall, this wall is what we plan on having as our backdrop for the ceremony. We do not have the ability to move their locations just rotate them, although they are positioned in a way that they could be used as one giant 48:9 aspect ratio screen.

Equipment: I'm not entirely sure of the model of projectors being used currently but all at least have 1080p resolution. Anything higher isn't really needed for our purpose anyways. The contrast is decent enough for most things to be very visible even with the rest of the room lit up. My PC is a 2022 15inch Razer Blade laptop, 2040 nvdia, 16gb ram (i can provide more details if needed). The laptop has 2 USB c ports and an hdmi port.

Theme: My husband and I are pretty big fantasy/gaming nerds, so we are going to be dressed as 2 kings, (our invitations are custom made MTG proxies). We're going for a fantasy/sci-fi crossover vibe. And my idea for the artwork is to have some type of vinework and trees that make 3 separate portals, ideally the portals and trees will be "cut outs" with the background effectively being blank. I want it to look less like a giant screen and more like a music festival stage/play. The middle portal will most likely be simple portal animation on loop (think Rick and Morty or Stargate), and the two side portals will be slideshows showcasing us and our family+friends.

I plan on doing it as one giant looping video in the 48:9 aspect ratio and doing extended desktop, but if there is a better way to go about it I'm all ears! Actually any problems you forsee or ideas you wanna throw my way please do! Thanks in advanced everyone!
