We will meet up at 2:30 at Maple Street Park and walk, ride, or roll on the sidewalk to the Essex Town Ballot Box on Main Street. From there we will continue on to the Essex Junction Ballot Box at 5 Corners. Following the Jamboree, please join us for the No Kings, Vote Early* rally at 5 Corners beginning at 3:00 pm.

Please bring a sign encouraging voting, decorate your bike, wheelchair, or scooter, or bring a drum, instrument or noisemaker. If you are a registered voter in Essex Junction or Essex, please bring your completed ballot to deposit in the ballot box!

*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters

I have a semi-classic convertible I’d like to find a marginally-heated storage/garage spot for November-April. I would not need access to the car once in storage.

Car is mechanically sound with no fluid leaks of any kind. Open to commercial or a residential solution if there is a seasonal Essex resident that might by have an empty garage for the winter.

Will sign a mutually beneficial agreement and car would be fully insured throughout the storage period. Open to paying cash for the entire term at time of storage. Rodent control/prevention would be appreciated.

Some crochet experience is preferred for this workshop. Skills for this workshop: creating a magic circle, single crochet, increases and decreases. I noticed not too long ago that the laundromat on Park Street shut down. The vape store around the back just moved as well. Are there plans to tear down and redevelop this lot? I keep thinking that eventually there will be another large tower across from the one that just opened up. On another note, it's sad that EJ is down to one public laundromat.

Since when did School Street and Lincoln Terrace in the Junction become a two-way street? I’ve had several instances of nearly running into people going the wrong way. If School Street is a one way street, people should not be going down Lincoln Terrace to get to Lincoln Street. Are people just this stupid nowadays? There were 3 cars of people coming the wrong way and all were elderly drivers. 🤦‍♂️

Would love to find a group of people that play soccer, flag football and possibly basketball. Would love to play these but not interested in paying too much for a league that I’ll end up missing half the games. Pick up games or something would be nice

Our indoor cat Emelio escaped around 6:30 this morning at the end of Iroquois Ave. He is friendly, if skittish.

The program at CTE has been so above and beyond incredible comparative to every other parent I know with kids in preschool. If you can make the schedule work, the level of attention and effort put in by the folks at CTE went so far beyond what either of us could have possibly expected for a preschool.

It feels crazy both that it is a free program and si few kids seem to be in it.

Edit: center for technology essex, which is the technical high school attached to EHS. The program is taught by 2 fully accredited early childhood educators and about a dozen high school age assistant teachers, who will earn some accreditations by completing the program. This resulted in a 1:1 student teacher ratio for us this year.
