No worries Bat - Nation, Sebastian Stan is indeed playing Harvey Dent in The Batman Part 2.

Honestly, makes me even more excited that Brian Tyree Henry may be playing Harvey Bullock too, Matt Reeves knows how to make inspired casting choices!

Tell the Government what you think about Edmonton bike lanes.
 in  r/Edmonton •  Jul 16 '26

So this is something I genuinely don’t understand, most if not all of the bike lanes are not big enough to have emergency vehicles able to move through them, and emergency drivers are trained to drive on the left side of the road anyways so wouldn’t these drivers have to be trained for that too?

I agree that we don’t have the right to free parking, but then what gives us the right to having bike lanes, or just having roads to travel on in the first place? Personally, I don’t like this argument because I think you can apply this to anything we have as citizens.

I do think it does have an impact on the other 98% of people , the reason I have an issue with them is bikers, in my experience, tend to not follow the rules of the road already and weave in and out of cars, skip the lineup to get to the front and slow down the flow of traffic, which for a city like Edmonton where most people have a significant commute to work, affects people’s daily lives.

I wish they took those 2% of funds and used it to put towards repairing some sidewalks because, at least where I live, we really need some new ones.

The discussion around bike lanes I find fascinating. It is such a tumultuous issue and to be honest even as someone who isn’t a fan I have subjected myself to the fact that it isn’t an argument I’m ever going to win. We already have so many bike lanes already so me complaining is moot at this point, but I do think having a place to voice our concerns is a good thing, even if it does seem pretty one-sided the way it was set up which I don’t like.

That’s a fair point, I did go to an extreme here and I’m sorry about that.

I know, I’m going to get downvoted to hell too, but I think they are a waste of space for most areas of the city. I’m a believer that anything on wheels should be on the road and should be subject to the same rules as a car.

With the weather we have in the city, the abundance of trails throughout the city, and the limited space on roads we already have, and with how spread out Edmonton is, I really think it is a waste of resources and taxpayer dollars.

Are there any good restaurants that you know of that are struggling?
 in  r/Edmonton •  Jul 14 '26

I work at a local restaurant, and I have heard that most small business’ are struggling right now, I know that we just had to raise our prices again sadly. I understand that prices are just awful right now and I can say we are doing our best to keep them low and holding off as long as we can.

I hope people can try and support small business but we also recognize it just isn’t easy right now

I genuinely cannot understand why people are angry over the disc announcement
 in  r/kindafunny •  Jul 08 '26

Can I be honest, with that logic what gives you the right to have the digital version? We are the ones that have the right to choose to purchase a disc port on the console, removing that choice creates a monopoly on how they sell their software; my entire point is that our right to choose is being removed.
Even if it’s a small percentage and assuming that other stores are going to sell games still, why would Sony even give codes to other stores because then a store when they have full control over being able to sell their software.

No, we aren’t “owed” anything, no one is, but as consumers we do have the right to choose how we consume and if there is only one way to consume, which based on business practices is the entire goal. just because the larger part of the market is digital doesn’t take anything away from the purchasing of physical copies, my main question is; why can’t we have both?

 in  r/kindafunny •  Jul 08 '26

In my opinion it is very anti-consumer, decreasing choice of the customer and having complete control over the market.

Just because they haven’t taken it away yet doesn’t mean they can’t or won’t, it’s about control, which is what they want. In my opinion the consumer should have control over how they spend their money and how they consume their media and this choice makes us as consumers have a substantial amount less of control of how we consume.

It depends, if the people are easy to deal with it’s generally not a big deal, but if issues arise whether it be with payment forms, or people just being generally difficult it can really slow us down.

💬Discussion Does anyone else feel like the refereeing in this tournament is pretty average?

I dunno, I have watched many games, from many different teams and across the board I have felt like the refereeing just hasn’t been very consistent. Lots of very strange calls and with all of this technology that is being used these days I feel like it should be used more.

Maybe I’m not paying close enough attention and I may be in the minority here but just watching the games it feels like overall the calls have not been consistent between refs and a lot of weird stoppages of play or continuation of play.

I’m doing very well!!

I have leveled out a lot and I don’t feel as strongly that feeling of being a new person, but at the same time I still feel more like myself. The thing that I have mostly noticed is that I feel like I have more control over the anxious thoughts rather than them controlling me. All of the techniques I had learned in therapy I could actually apply to my own life, and I could also meditate with greater ease.

Hi there, I’m so sorry you had to go through this.

Normally I am the person who says that if you want to make things work, you need to talk about it and see if he is willing to change his actions in the future to see if you can move forward to rebuild your relationship.

That being said.

I think you have answered your own question in not knowing how to deal with it. You said “I can’t find myself to trust him fully anymore”, to be honest I feel this is the issue here, you HAVE to be able to fully trust your partner, if you don’t your relationship will never work. I never like to be the person who says “break up”, but I do think that if your trust is broken in the way you say it is, I don’t think you can salvage it.

I hope you can figure out what you want and wish you all the best:)
