what are some good stock presets for dark atlanta trap beats? stuff like migos, lex luger, metro boomin.

i use fl studio all plugins edition, studio pro 8, ableton live lite 12, and mpc beats.
mainly looking for dark bells, plucks, pads, and eerie sounds.

would appreciate actual preset names and which synth they’re in. also curious what tweaks y’all make to get a darker sound.

im 17 and on oct 10 i sold my first ever full buyout exclusive beat for about $48.5 (USD) (i actually sold it in INR) to an Indian client who resides in Canada.

I want to get real practical knowledge regarding this topic. I highly think it was undervalued. and its not that im tryna be pessimistic about it. i want to know the realistic yet satisfying price range for my beats..

What are yalls favorite, best, and immediate go to for vst synths and instruments? I have a lot of different ones but I never know which plugin to start with because I have too many choices. What VST never let's you down that has tons of good sounds in it all around for Trap beats?

So I was watching MaxFlames's Working On Dying tutorial and he mentioned how the group did stuff for Uzi and how F1lthy worked on Whole Lotta Red and all that. And I know WOD has a pretty diverse portfolio in terms of genres and artists that they've worked with. But as I was listening to both beats, I was starting to wonder who they would be for, because they both sound too dark and aggressive for Uzi, and I can't really see Carti rapping on them, and they're too slow for Five Finger Posse. And WOD hasn't always gone for dark sounds btw, so I was just wondering.

I've been producing for a bit but hadn't focused on really heavily making melodies until the past 1-2 months. I've gotten some decent traction mainly from this past week and I have some questions on the business side of things so forgive me if this ends up being a little long.

The way I currently have it set up is I have both a telegram with all of my loops (anyone can join this with the link) and an untitled app with my loops for the producers/artists that prefer that. I'm making these loops in the hopes that one of them gets placed, and I've had multiple producers and artists all ask for the same few loops these past few days. I've been just sending the files over no strings attached, and I'm happy to collab with as many producers as possible but does this complicate things in the event that the loop gets placed? Just based on what I know so far, it seems that compensation isn't really handled until a song gets made and is then planned for release. So, I send people my loops for free, but nothing is technically stopping them from taking my melody and essentially claiming it as their own.

I'd hate for a melody I made to get placed in a song and then to end up receiving 0 credit or compensation, so I just want to make sure that I can prevent that from happening.

Last question: If a well known artist asks for my loop and I send it to them, but I know nothing regarding if they'll actually use it for an official release, is it alright that I still send the loop to other producers/artists?

I really like the production on Lucki‘s old stuff like on body high, X, Alternative Trap (also love bunch of the unreleased songs from that era)… and also am really enjoying the ambient wave that is on the rise right now with kllhhr recently blowing up and the whole sie sound: taz paris, 22, hunnakay etc.
Im wondering if anyone has any tips about how to make beats in like either the old lucki style or the new ambient style, I could be wrong but I feel like they also have a bunch of similarities.

I recently got into music production and learned the basics on fl studio. I did a couple of tracks(in the style of che, osamason, bleood) with little to no mixing and now I feel like I’m ready to make it sound more professional.

The only thing I know about mixing is EQing out harsh frequencies and the lows on everything but the bass, soft clipper on master track and boosting the 808 till it sounds distorted. I pretty much don’t know anything aside from what I mentioned. I dont know what sidechaining, compression, bussing, wave shaper and anything else that I might have missed or not heard about.

What should I do some research on, and do you guys have any youtube tutorials that you recommend watching? Preferably specific to the type of sound I’m going for, which is like psykotic, rest in bass encore, bleood. Just anything very distorted

Everytime i try to make a rex type beat it doesn’t sound like something he would rap on. I need tips on what scales and chords i should use.
