Vent My transphobic stepdad is even worse…

So, um… the day before yesterday I accidentally grabbed his jacket instead of my step brother's to bring inside, so he didn't get his light jacket that night while out trucking and I had rained. As a result, I got grounded. "Oh well," I figured. "At most it'll last a day because it's a small mistake." The mix up was because both had a similar texture and my stepdad's is black while my step brother's is dark grey.

Turns out that wasn't the issue. Apparently I'm "not observant" enough because I always "move too fast." Which could be undiagnosed ADD, or the fact focusing on anything helps me focus less on my gender dysphoria. Or a combination there, I really don't know.

Somehow that conversation went into my trans-ness. And he was talking about "you were born with a boy's parts, you're a boy," "your mom coddled (I think that's the term?) you do much you think you're a girl," and so on. And I started crying. I said I needed to walk away, nothing. My mom saw it all and did nothing. Then he went on to "once you leave you can do whatever you want, but as long as you're under my roof, you don't get HRT and you will present as what you are, a guy," and so on until he left, but he couldn't leave without saying anything that's not man/women is mental illness.

And now I just wanna leave. But I can't legally without being 16 or possibly ruining my schooling. But… I just don't wanna be at this house anymore. Obviously I'm not so desperate as to isakai myself, I have to at least live as myself with my lovely girlfriend and enjoy life despite all this before I'll let myself die willingly, bare minimum, but I still just wish I could run away. Leave "his roof" and maybe stay with a friend, I don't know.

Just needed to vent. Thanks for reading and have a damn good day. I hope it's better than mine, and I hope both our tomorrows are better than today as well. Love you all!

My parents are super conservative catholics who has some profound xenophobia. I don't think they can wrap their head around my coming out. I just can't hide it anymore. What should i do if they ever kick me out of the house. Should i beg and just make them think i changed for them until i can be independent on my own? Or should i go find a work someplqce else. I need help...

Advice needed How to come out

This is more so a question for the older teens in the community but advice from anyone would be great.

Literally everyone In my personal life is an ally. (My parents, friends, siblings, teachers, etc)

I’m still for some reason terrified of coming out and I feel like it’s holding me back from living my life to the fullest.

It feels stupid to not have already came out because I know so many other trans people who want to come out but can’t, and I have the luxury of being able to but I’m still cowering.

Please I want to hear how coming out to your community went, what you would do differently, how you came out, literally anything

Advice needed Trans girl in need

Hi, everyone. I’m a 15-year-old trans minor. I came out as transgender six months ago, and I’m battling intense dysphoria because my body has a masculine structure. How do I go about getting hormones if I live in Indiana, where there are no facilities, especially with Donald Trump in office making it impossible for minors to get hormones?

Other Haii, 15 mtf looking for friends

I’m looking for friends on here because I don’t really have any queer friends irl and it’d be nice to talk to someone who I can be open with. I really like gaming, RPGs and roguelikes are my favourite genres, Deltarune is my favourite game of all time.

I like baking, I watch a little bit of anime, I build Lego. I love listening to music (I got into MCR a few months ago and they’re my favourite band).

But I’m happy to talk about whatever really ^_^

Vent I feel bad for my mom

(haven't come out to my mom yet but I'm going to soon)

Recently she's been talking about how she misses when I was a little boy, and that already makes me feel bad for her because she genuinely seems to be sad about me growing up. But today I was talking to her and said something about my hair getting messy in the wind and she immediately went "oh do you want to cut it?" And I responded no (because I've been growing it out and it makes me feel nice :3) and she immediately looked sad and a bit annoyed. When I asked her why she said that when I had short hair it reminded her of "when you were just a little boy" and pointed at the pictures in the hallway of me and talked about some of her memories. I ended the conversation soon after saying that I had an online friend waiting for me to get on and locked myself in my room.

Now I just feel bad because firstly of course I feel bad because she's unknowingly guilt tripping me into not being independent, and secondly she doesn't know yet that I don't even want to be a boy anymore, and now I think she won't take it as well as I expected.

I don't know I just needed to say something and have been venting to my best friend a lot and it feels like he's starting to get a bit annoyed with it... Thanks for reading.

Advice needed I need help coming out to my mother and father, and essentially everyone else I know.

I’ve been having double thoughts about my gender probably since I was 8, I’d always brushed it off and just thought it was my imagination. Until recently I learned that it’s actually not a completely cisgender thought to have. About a year ago I had started buying feminine clothes and considered it my “femboy” phase, and then my mom found all of my stuff. At the time I was still questioning and came out to her as gender neutral and bisexual (which I’m still thinking about, probably just stalling because I’m an egg or something).

I’ve started a job at a local food place and usually I make around 200-300 every two weeks, and I had an idea. What if I come out to her fully, and offer to pay for the things under her insurance. Do you think she’d be okay with that?

Advice needed Buying trans tape

Okay, I'm looking to buy trans tape since Im not very keen on the idea of using a traditional binder & that kinesiology tape you can get at Walmart n shit makes my skin super irritated after a bit (it also jsut kinda sucks for taping). I'm not exactly sure how to go about it though since I'm not ready to come out to my parents & arent sure of how they would take it.

If anyone has tips on where/how I can buy it so my parents won't know please lmk 🙏🙏 I'm mostly worried about them seeing the transaction on their card a googling what I bought. I do have my own cash app card but I'm not 100% sure if most online stores take it 🥹. I'm also not totally sure which brand is the best or if that even matters...

Advice needed I think my secret stash of girl clothes was found. Help!

OK, so for probably a year or more I’ve been secretly buying some girl stuff that I like to wear and I have a pretty good collection so far I thought I had a really good hiding spot in my room inside like an attic area but then came home from school today and saw that it wasn’t really put in there how I put in there and it looks like it’s been messed up so I am freaking out not sure what to do.

Advice needed I learned something new today about Love

Yesterday, I confessed my feelings toward a crush (a fellow trans femme) of mine. Now that mine sound amazing at first, but I felt a sort of guilt when confessing. You see, my reaction to the development of crushes is legitimately painful for me because it leads to limerence. This fantastical limerence is so strong that it heavily strains my brain which is why confessing that you have a crush hurts for me. I cannot remember what she said about my development of feelings for her because I was too much of a nervous, but she has felt my pain before and empathizes with my experience.

However, this experience made me realize that crushes are meant to be painful which is why they are so wonderful.
This is coming from someone who is using her mind first into this post which is why this might sound like a bunch of ramblings smashed together into this paragraphical slop.

Positivity I have been introducing myself by my chosen name instead of my deadname to most people.

Not to adults, but to people my age, I have been introducing myself as my closen name, even if they don't know I'm trans.

I always use the excuse "[deadname] is a shitty name, 'Stelle' is a better name", it works every time.

My chosen name isn't too common so I can get away with it, people named Estelle usually go by Stella anyway, not Stelle.

Atp I don't really care if I get "exposed" for being trans, I'm 17 and I've lost my fucks to give, as long as my dad doesn't find out, it's fine, which he's not really involved in my school.

Question gender dysphoria diagnosis?

how does someone go about getting a gender dysphoria diagnosis?

i’m out to both my parents and my mom is super supportive(though she probably wouldn’t let me get on HRT) and my dad pretty much chooses to ignore my transness. my hopes in getting diagnosed would be that 1) my dad wouldn’t be able to ignore it and 2) mayyybe i could get my parents to let me go on HRT when i’m 16 or 17(im currently 15)

Question How do you get past the anxiety?

I was going to come out to my parents yesterday but I was so nervous and anxious over the day (I never get anxiety) that I almost threw up and I also didn't end up telling them.

How do you get past it?
