More Anti-Bike Shenanigans from The Old Sod
Looks like The Old Sod is up to their dirty shenanigans again by hosting a Bloor bike lane removal party on Friday, October 30! One made twice as gross with the use of AI slop!

Raising funds for those arrested
Has anyone started a fund or donation point to help with those arrested during the protests, I know they are often small charges but money to take time off work and defend can add up.
I would try myself by I am unsure how to hold the money and distribute.

Stolen bike! Pls help!
I had my 3rd bike stolen in Toronto last night, in front of 1166 Bay St (south of Bloor).

Your daily reminder to spam Verdi Alliance’s number: (416) 749-5030
If you’re struggling what to say, say:
I am urging you to stop the bike lane removals right now.
If you don’t, you will soon be known as the company that knowingly did work that killed someone. That will be your legacy for generations.
Especially when someone gets killed thanks to you.
I am urging you to cancel the bike lane removals now for your reputation’s sake.

What has the turnout been like on days 1 and 2?
Basically the title.
PS: I told you Ford. This would be 5 times larger than Jarvis.
This is really looking like our Stop de Kindermoord movement

The Paralympian who stood up against removal crews got arrested. This is now more than just saving bike lanes.
Even if you could care less about bike lanes this should deeply concern you.
This fight is now about standing up against excessive police force. Especially against protesters that have been very very peaceful.
Let’s show up in even greater numbers tomorrow.
Bring friends who care about police brutality and free speech.
Time to show TPS the real power lies within the people.

Why are we not doing Critical Mass sort of group ride everywhere in the city everyday?
Watching bike lanes being torn out is infuriating. Why aren’t we organizing Critical Mass-style group rides across the city everyday? It would highlight the fact that how stupid it is to you remove safe infrastructure: cyclists are forced directly into lanes intended for fast-moving traffic.

The Removals are Not a Loss! Do NOT give up!
As we are starting to see some of the lanes getting removed, I want to remind everyone that this isn't unexpected. It was never realsiitc to keep everything. Our goal is to minimize how much we lose.
When the Spadina Expressway protests finally stopped the project, the highway was already partially built. We see the remnants of that today. However, the protests stopped it before it become irreversible.
The same is true here. This is not a loss unless we stop as soon as the lanes disappear. No. That is just the beginning.
Whenever a lane gets removed, we do not give up. We continue with daily protests, only now we take the lane during rush hours. In fact, I would go as far as to say, that's the real battle, because it actually will impact drivers.
The goal is to get drivers wishing they were never removed and ideally begging for them to be reinstalled.
Don't let this demotivate you. Let it invigorate you.

Toronto police getting increasingly aggressive
I left around 7, they were saying most people were going home. Crazy to see this develop right after I left. What grounds is there for an arrest? People were just biking laps. Does anyone know what’s happening?
The cops were INCREDIBLY hostile today
EDIT: check CycleTo’s IG page. They arrested a community member, the one with the light up sign in the image. Arrested for “mischief”. The most nonsense charge
