I'm wondering if Ezekiel's -1 to hit rolls stack with ICCs' -1 to hit rolls? If so, I feel like that, combined with ICC's +1 to hit rolls against character units, Ezekiel's +1 to melee attacks, and all of Ezekiel's weapon profiles having precision, makes for a spicy assassin unit to go after a Warlord.

Which disposition do you think would work best for this list? (WotR & ICTF)

Have had limited practice with the new codex and ran the below 2k list versus Orks yesterday and lost. Was playing take and hold versus priority assets and lost mainly on primary as I was unsuccessful on pushing him off the objectives until later in the game.

Overall, the list was very durable and had good damage into infantry, but did struggle against T12. My main issue was really with his gretchin as without access to cleave I was hesitant to put an expensive brick into them which would result in trading down. I feel the current codex is lacking cheap skirmish units, I found the intercessors underwhelming and sternguard a bit over costed for what they offer.

Any advice on changes or what you’re finding is working well would be most appreciated

has any of y’all used a mostly death wing list with maybe a few mission unit and if so how did it play out and would you mind sharing it

Trying to aim for a good 2000 point list but it just doesn’t fell right. Terminators for a brick unit, eradicators for deep strike AT, repex for Azreal and ICC, sternguard for good shooting, and all the other units are action units. What else should I add?

Much like many of us, I have painted my blade guard in bone. The issue is 1. There is already a captain of the 1st (Belial) and 2. I feel like bone blade guard led by a "green wing" captain would look silly

So I have 2 options:

My army is a coalition of multiple chapters, and Azrael has reformed the legion. Meaning i can have two deathwing captains

Or

I paint my captain with relic shield greenwing, with bone accents. Showing he was a member of the 1st company before getting promoted to captain of the 3rd/4th/6th ect. This also means it would look correct no matter who he leads. It also is a nod to when the bone armour comes from having a price replaced because it was damaged saving someone else(?). I remember this as a lore thing but can't find a reference to it anywhere :/

I first learned about 40k through the FPS Space Hulk: Deathwing (this is why I am here as the Son of the Lion). After playing a variety of other games, I recently played Space Marine2 and was hooked, so I’ve started collecting miniatures too.

With some help from a friend, I’ve put together a list based on my current collection, but I know it’s not perfect, so I’d appreciate some advice.

Company of Heroes is suprisingly tanky (first time playing it).
And the free reroll on 1 hit and 1 wound on each vehicule is so nice.

Next time i will try in 2000pts with stormlance. Probably adding a Landspeeder and a Stormspeeder and a lot of bike.

I am debating on getting a box. My army currently has a whole that might need filled as I have ignored disposable melee units as a tool since I started 40k a year ago

When it comes to the Deathwing Knights, which HQ unit do you prefer to run them with and why? And would spending the points on a Terminator Ancient worth this unit combo?

Hello, question what paints do you guys use for the deathwing characters either the dwt, the dwk or the sternguard, etc.

I normally use the citadel morghast bone but im out of it already so i was wondering what other do you recommend? Also i normally prime my minis grey so i think the seraphim sephia with white primer combo might not work with grey primer.

I play locally, and I’ve asked a bunch of people at my LGS if they would care if I used a large base for Ezekiel, who technically is a 25 firstborn model from 30 years ago. No one cares. And since I love his rules, I present blue asmodai that I will be running as Ezekiel until somebody stops me

I'm trying to recycle my numerous Dark Vengeance Terminators and the Sergeant has a little something that makes him more like a character. I had a banner and some Watchers lying around and thought about him carrying the banner.

What do you think about the idea? Is it enough to mark him as an Ancient ?
