Open | Windows My laptop has completely lost the ability to recognise bluetooth devices?
My HP Pavilion laptop (had since 2022) has recently been disconnecting from my bluetooth keyboard quite a lot. It usually works again if I wait for a while or restart the PC.
Similar to an issue I sometimes have with it disconnecting from Wi-Fi, the button for bluetooth has completely disappeared, and from looking at the 'Device Manager' page, it doesn't even seem to have a bluetooth driver anymore.
Anyone know how to fix this?

In Device manager, click view on the top left and then Show Hidden Devices.
Try to find your bluetooth device (I think it would be Intel wireless bluetooth or something along those lines). If it's greyed out, right click and select properties. check the device status box. If there's a code that says it's disconnected, you may have a hardware failure on your NIC (network interface card) or in worst cases, motherboard.

Replace the wifi board (which has the bluetooth chip on it too). Hope that's all it is and not a motherboard problem.
