This whole incident actually happened months ago. Back then, I immediately filed a formal cybercrime complaint on the official cybercrime portal (cybercrime.gov.in). However, it didn't move forward or get any real updates, which is totally understandable given that lakhs of complaints are pending and tens of thousands are registered daily, especially with massive high-value money scams taking priority.

Because official channels take time, I spent all these months actively back tracking him myself. It took a lot of digging and gathering details from his former friends, who also told me that he is a known scammer among their circle. I know I was dumb to trust him, and I completely admit it was a mistake on my end for shipping before getting the full payment. I am posting this right now anyway so that someone else in may not fall into his trap and get scammed.

2. **The Hub-Payment Trap:** To bypass my upfront payment rule, he convinced me to ship it under the condition that he would pay right when the package reached his local city hub, promising to clear the payment before it went out for delivery. In my mind, I figured it was safe because if he didn't pay at the hub, I could simply intercept or cancel the courier.

3. **The Suspicious "Instant Delivery" Loophole (Hub Collusion):** However, that safety net was completely bypassed by inside manipulation. The exact moment the parcel hit the destination city hub, the tracking status didn't give me time to react or cancel. It underwent an abnormal, lightning-fast jump. It changed from "Reached Hub" to "Out for Delivery" and instantly to "Delivered" within the span of 1 to 2 minutes, long before any legitimate delivery executive could travel anywhere. That too at around evening 7PM. This points directly to unauthorized collection straight from the hub through inside help.

4. **The Ghosting Phase:** Once marked delivered instantly, he stopped responding or made endless excuses, keeping the item while refusing to transfer payment. Then later deleted his whatsapp and ghosted.
