[For Hire] Experienced Former MSP Owner (20 yrs) Looking for Low-Hour W2 Side Role — RMM/BMS/Back-Office/AI/Web — ~5 hrs/wk

Former MSP owner with two decades of daily hands-on experience looking for a small, consistent W2 engagement.

I ran my own MSP for 20 years and still live in the technical and operational weeds. I’m not looking for a full-time seat or a career change—just a reliable part-time W2 role (~5 hours per week / ~20 hours per month) at $1,500/month. I don't need or want to be under a retirement plan.

What I can actually do:

  • Deep, daily operational knowledge of most major RMMs. Specifically strong with NinjaRMM (inside and out) and Addigy (inside and out). Comfortable with the usual stack of others.
  • Kaseya BMS and typical MSP back-office setups (quoting, invoicing, agreements, reporting, etc.).
  • QuickBooks and the accounting/operational side of running an MSP.
  • Coding and automation — happy to build internal tools, scripts, or workflows.
  • Website work — I can build, manage, or improve client-facing or internal sites.
  • AI implementation — setting up bots/agents to handle specific tasks or act as virtual employees for ticket triage, documentation, client comms, etc.
  • Consulting for MSP startups or growing shops that need process, tooling, or operational guidance without a full-time hire.

I’m flexible on the exact mix although I don't want to handle direct tickets or deal with end users. Happy to assist other employees with tickets / projects. RMM/BMS administration and optimization, automation projects, light consulting, website work, or AI task automation are all on the table. I work independently, document thoroughly, and don’t need hand-holding. I'm extremely organized and detailed.

Constraints (non-negotiable):

  • Must be W2 (need proper payroll direct deposit).
  • Target ~5 hours/week or 20 hours/month. If the fit is perfect, will consider additional hours.
  • $1,500/month pay.

Open to after-hours or flexible scheduling. Based in the Dallas area, but do spend time in Scottsdale.

If you have a need that fits (or know someone who does), feel free to DM. Happy to talk through how I could add value without becoming another full-time headcount.

[FOR HIRE] IT Infrastructure Specialist | Servers, VMware, Proxmox, Backup & Monitoring | Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, RAK, UAE

I provide professional IT infrastructure support for businesses and individuals across the UAE, remotely and on-site.

My main areas are Windows/Linux servers, VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, Azure, backup and disaster recovery, Zabbix and network monitoring, infrastructure troubleshooting, migrations, automation and system optimization.

I can also provide PC imaging and deployment solutions for gaming hubs, computer labs and businesses, where one prepared PC image can be captured and deployed across multiple systems.

I mainly take infrastructure projects, complex troubleshooting and implementation work rather than basic end-user support.

Based in Sharjah and available for remote and on-site projects across the UAE.

DM me with the issue or project details and I can tell you if it is something I can handle.

I'm looking for a DevOps Engineer opportunity. I have one year of experience during it I did the following:

- Provisioned and managed AWS infrastructure across 3 environments (10+ EC2 instances, App Runner, Aurora DB, Load Balancers, Route 53) using Terraform. Built CI/CD pipelines with CircleCI and GitHub Actions.

- Led backend migration from EC2 to App Runner and database migration from RDS to Aurora using AWS DMS, both with zero downtime.

- Performed cost optimization identifying 25M+ CloudWatch API calls and 15 underutilized load balancers, proposed strategy with 30-40% potential savings.

- Owned access governance for 50+ AWS resources, 10+ developers (GitHub/CircleCI), and 20+ users (Google Workspace). Implemented CloudWatch logging and managed SSL/DNS.

A full-time role would be great. A small project is a good start too.

Putting this out here because sometimes a conversation with the right person gets you further than another hundred applications.

I’m based in Karachi and looking for my next DevOps / Cloud Engineering role. I have 9+ years of experience working with AWS and production infrastructure, along with hands-on experience in Azure. I’ve worked with companies including Nisum and Systems Limited.

To give you an idea of what I can help with:

\- AWS infrastructure: EC2, EKS, ECS, RDS/Aurora, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Route 53 and CloudWatch.

\- Containers and deployments: Docker, Kubernetes, troubleshooting workloads and making releases more reliable.

\- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI and Azure DevOps,from setting up pipelines to fixing the ones everyone is afraid to touch.

\- Infrastructure as code: Terraform and CloudFormation for consistent, repeatable environments.

\- Production operations: Linux, networking, monitoring, incident troubleshooting, backups and disaster recovery.

\- Security and costs: Reviewing access, securing infrastructure and figuring out where the cloud bill can come down.

What I bring is the experience of working through the messy parts: a deployment succeeds but the application won’t start, a service can’t reach its database, or something breaks in production and you need someone who can calmly work out why. I’m comfortable owning the infrastructure side and working closely with developers to get things running properly.

I’m open to remote or on-site roles, and willing to discuss relocation. I can join immediately, and I’m flexible on compensation depending on the role, responsibilities and working arrangement.

I’m also available for contract, part-time or ad hoc work. If you need someone to sort out a deployment, review your AWS setup, build a pipeline or provide ongoing support for a few hours a week, I’m happy to discuss that too.

And if you’re a small firm or an early-stage team wondering whether you can bring in someone experienced, please feel free to reach out. It doesn’t have to start with a full-time position.

If you know someone hiring, a referral or introduction would mean a lot. And if you have advice on finding opportunities in this market, I’d genuinely love to hear it.

Happy to share my CV over DM. Thanks for reading.
