MOD POST Sub updates!
If they haven't already introduced themselves, welcome u/TheFeebleOne and u/monkeysky to our Mod team!
In other news, I have been doing some stuff with Auto-Mod, and to limit bots and karma-farming, a new system has been implemented that makes Users elaborate/answer on their post. As a good chunk of the posts on here are red blue/blue pill or something of the sort, I ask that users answer/elaborate on their posts(An example of answering would be picking a pill/power/whatever, and an example of elaborating would be adding more detail to your post)
That is all

MOD POST PLEASE READ-Mod Note
Hello, users of r/superpowers
Recently, our mod team has had to ban a large amount of people for their same reasons. I have recently added a new rule applying to posts AND comments.
DO NOT make ANY jokes having to do with child rape/molest, rape in general, or anything of the sort.
It is your job as a Redditor to use your own common sense to figure out what you should leave online. Remember, ANYONE has the power to see your digital footprint, and making fun of rape or terrible events is NOT what we expect seeing from (what should be) grown adults who are completely able to control themselves online.
I do not want to have to ban anyone ever again. And breaking this rule by not using common sense will result in a 3 day ban. If we keep having to do this, the punishment will be much greater.
Remember, rape is never funny, especially not child rape. Thank you for reading this.
Stay safe!

Shitpost You got "death or life" note , how would've use it?
50% chance it's would've work like death note and person you wrote name of would've die in minute.
50% chance that target will be fully healed , live at least 10 years of successful life and won't die during that time.
You can write same name twice. Target person becomes immune to this notebook for entire life , if survives.

Other Would you accept this omnipresence?
The omnipresence being offered to you means you will be everywhere in the whole universe. You wouldn't have one body anymore, instead, you would be able to manifest your body anywhere. You could have as many bodies as you'd like.
But wouldn't that be too much information? No, you wouldn't go insane, your mind would adapt to this power and you would be able to store as much information as you'd like, so you could basically "screenshot" the whole universe in your mind if you wanted to and it wouldn't overload your brain.
But here is a downside (or an upside, who knows?): since your being would be present everywhere, even inside stars, inside animals, inside literally everything, you would feel and know how everything physically feels, feeling the heat, the sharpness, the friction and the pressure of everything in the universe. It wouldn't hurt, don't worry, you would just recieve the information, like "touching that star hurts a lot, its temperature is 10,000 ºC and its inner pressure is 500,000,000 atm", and you would know exactly how 500,000,000 atm feels like, just without the pain.
Would you accept this?

Edit if none apply Uses of light distortion
I'm curious if anyone can think of any useful applications here. I'm making a TTRPG rule set based on Avatar at the moment, and I added light as an option for airbenders, the exact idea of how it would work is this
Vibrating each air molecule individually to create the same effect as a mirage
So I'm curious (mostly so I can write more abilities for them lol), what kinds of things do you think you could do with this ability (and by pairing it with the standard airbenders too, I suppose)

Other What is your power based on your class ring colors?
Not all get them but if you did, say your color and assume the power.

College- Crimson and White. I say Magma abilities. With Phoenix, fast healing.

Other What would be your superpower?
My powers would be purely metaphysical. I am a master reality warper. I am able to turn any memory, information, facts into fiction. I'm also able to turn reality into fiction. By simply writing what I want I can reshape reality. Every time I put pen to paper or write, articulate, draw, paint, produce any sort of visible text, language or literature reality changes to match exactly what's been written. Conceptually i have control over symbols. This gives me a plethora of advantages. I can cheat death, become immortal. Give myself any superpower. Control anyone I want, resurrect people. Recreate the Big Bang. Erase time. Travel the multiverse. Rearrange the laws of physics, you get the drift. So everyone would be characters in my fantasy because I would script it as such. My weakness is my lack of self-esteem, awareness o intellect. If I am deceived or manipulated into writing something that might weaken or kill me then I am defeated.

Other How To Beat Superpowerd Boxers?
Here is the hypothetical
You are a boxer/are training said boxer in a world of Superpowers, bullshit, and your goal is to prove that anyone can defeat superpowered fighters.
I will present you with 3 fights, 3 opponents for you to go toe to toe with, their abilities, their stature, and so on.
So, what is the gap? How far does a boxer have to push themselves to beat each of them? Are super powers simply required? Do you need to train them to dodge everything under the sun? Or does knockout power matter more? Do you have to train them to be the best tactical fighter known to man, or can just a really well thought out strategy work?
It you DO decide to say fuck it and give your boxer powers, what is the WEAKEST possible ability that would close the gap to make winning possible?
(Also generally a discussion on Superpowers and combat sports, what regulations are in place, how do the rules change, and divisions and all that)
So, here are your opponents...
First is a lightweight boxer known as The Waterbug He has 4 arms and a set of wings on his back. While these wings are flapping, he can manipulate his friction, allowing him, with a single push or step, slide across and around the ring as he pleases. His punches are pretty average for his weight and size, the issue is the 4 arms and speed.
He is a young green fighter and in your match you will both be doing your first public match.
The second is a Middleweight fighter known as The Giraffe. Standing 10 feet tall, with most of that being his neck and some of his torso, his strikes will be coming from on high, and his head is much of the time out of reach leaving his stomach and chest being your main target.
He is a older fighter with years of experience, that is just starting to creep up on him, your fight with him will likely be one of his last good ones before he retires.
Last is a heavyweight boxer known as The Disco Man. With reflective skin, any and all light that hits him can be reflected and warped into making him a disco ball of blinding light, making the simple ability to see a detriment as keeping track of him is difficult, but also simply knowing where a punch is coming from or what side. He is also known for record of knock outs, as when your opponent can't see, its easy.
He is in his prime.
Those are your opponents, for each assume you are in their weight division for each fight.

Other Tributos (Tributes) or a Dívidas (Debts)
if your were to have wake up with a Tributos (Tributes) or a Dívidas (Debts) from the brazilian manga sense life what would it be and if you don't know what tributes or Debts are I can tell you but what kind of tribute or Debt would you like
Tributos (Tributes)
Origin: Tributes are awakened when a person dies and passes on their unfulfilled desires, dreams, or expectations to a loved one or someone close to them (often triggered by a traumatic loss or death).
Nature of Powers: Each power is unique and directly tied to the emotional legacy or intent of the deceased.
Example (Noah): The protagonist Noah possesses a tribute connected to a rifle that always returns to his hands and grants him functional immortality, blocking attempts at suicide or death.
Example (kaleb): kaleb can project illusions or mental concepts into the minds of others, an ability that is often intensified or altered by the use of substances/drugs.
Example (Mortuus): An inquisitor who can return to life after dying as long as he finds her way back.
Example (diego): Diego's power allows him to dynamically adapt to the threats and attacks he faces in combat. If an opponent uses a specific technique or strategy against him, his body and abilities adjust to withstand, counter, or overcome it.
Secret World: Most of the general public is unaware that Tributes exist. A secretive organization known as the Inquisitors works to monitor, regulate, and hide these powers to prevent societal chaos.
Dívidas (Debts)
Nature: A secondary category of power systems in the lore, viewed more like dark curses or lingering burdens left behind by the deceased rather than standard Tributes.
Users: Known as "debt users," individuals who carry these heavier, cursed manifestations.

Other Power Concept: Hive Gut
i just wanna put this idea of a power concept here to see whether it sounds interesting and also if you would want it.
this power is similar to that of a Hive Mind where people have their minds connected to each other, sharing their knowledge with one another becoming a collective intelligence.
this on the other hand instead connects stomachs with each other, if you join your stomach becomes a doorway to a pocket dimension the size of a galaxy that can store a near infinite amount of food/ drink.
you will always be at a level of comfortably full, but you can still eat without ever feeling full. the Hive Gut digests the food and drink consumed and equally shares the nutrition, hydration, energy the food/drink has among those connected to the hive gut.
there is no worry of starving as there is bound to be more than enough food/ drink stored inside and if it is running low your stomach will growl to forewarn it being close to empty. there is also no worry of being poisoned as the stomach will remove anything harmful from the food/ drink before it gets digested.
thoughts? would you join the hive gut?

Character description explaining diego Santinely powers (sense life)
who is Diego Santinely well Diego Santinely is a major character in the Brazilian manga Sense Life, known for his drastic transformation from a dedicated martial artist into an obstinate, proud man obsessed with becoming an insurmountable obstacle. Originally a close partner and friend to the protagonist Kaleb, their relationship brutally shattered following the tragic death of Diego's younger brother. Driven by this trauma, Diego discarded his past ties to focus entirely on absolute strength.
Diego's Tribute: Unstoppable Resilience (Constant Evolution)
In the Sense Life universe, supernatural abilities called "Tributes" are born from the final wishes, regrets, or feelings of someone who dies. Diego's power originated from his dying brother, who deeply desired for Diego to always move forward and overcome any barrier in his path. His Tribute functions through a set of powerful
mechanics:
Reactive Adaptation: Diego's power has no fixed appearance or pre-established limits. Instead, it molds itself in real-time to counter and overcome whatever he perceives as an "obstacle".
Dynamic Stat Manipulation: Depending on what a fight requires, his Tribute automatically grants him exactly what he needs to win—such as super strength, absolute resistance, or super speed. It can even manifest entirely new abilities on the spot, like telekinesis or specific immunities to bypass an opponent's powers.
Willpower-Driven Immortality: His adaptation relies directly on his state of mind and resolve. Because of his sheer will to persist, Diego has even managed to resurrect himself after dying. He has also successfully nullified Kaleb's Tributes and guarded his mind against emotional manipulation.
The Core Weakness
Because his power scales entirely with his confidence, Diego's true battlefield is psychological. If an opponent successfully instills fear, doubt, or despair in him, his Tribute weakens significantly. Breaking his unwavering confidence is the ultimate strategy to defeating him.

Other Everyone compulsively tells you their truth when you ask, but you also can no longer lie
Any time you ask someone a question they tell you the truth - they immediately answer, no half truths, white lies, no side stepping the question, no beating round the bush, just the truth as they genuinely believe it to be.
In some scenarios it could still be untrue (for example, If you ask me what I heard by the window this morning I would say a bee but it still could have been something else as I did not see it) but you will know that they are not lying/ no concealed motives.
However, you also can no longer lie when anyone asks you something -- but you CAN refuse to answer, change the subject, or remain silent. This may cause others to infer the reason for your dodgy-ness but alas you still have the upper hand.
What would you do with this power??
