r/superheroes just hit 400,000 members.

That is an incredible milestone for this community, and it would not have happened without all of you.

From Marvel and DC debates to comic book discussions, movies, TV shows, fan theories, artwork, memes, hot takes, and everything in between, this community has continued to grow into one of the biggest places on Reddit for superhero fans.

400,000 people who love talking about superheroes.

Whether you've been here for years or just joined today, thank you for being part of the community.

And we're not done yet.

400K is just the beginning.

Here's to the next milestone.

What superhero first got you into comics or superhero movies?

Hey everyone!

After discussing community feedback and reviewing the direction of the subreddit, the mod team has decided to try a 30-day experiment.

For the next 30 days, Random Battle posts will only be allowed on Saturdays and Sundays.

The goal isn't to get rid of Random Battles—they're a fun part of the community. Instead, we want to create more room during the week for other great superhero content, including:

Comic discussions

Movies & TV shows

Character deep dives

Fan art & cosplay

News and rumors

Questions, recommendations, and original content

After the 30 days, we'll review how the experiment went, look at the data, and listen to your feedback before deciding on the next steps.

We're always looking for ways to make r/superheroes the best place on Reddit for superhero fans. Thanks for being part of the community, and let us know what you think in the comments!
