My teen has a romper and a dress that she asked me to convert into blouses. I really don’t want to try to do that and would rather pay a seamstress, but I think it’s beyond what they do at like the cleaners. Any recommendations?

I am about to pickup a secondhand leather couch. I was wondering if there are any professional leather furniture cleaners in the area?

I’m trying to get a better understanding of what food assistance resources are available in the State College area and surrounding communities. Asking for a dear friend of mine.

I’m aware of the larger food banks and church pantries, but I’m curious about smaller or lesser-known resources like community fridges, little free pantries, blessing boxes, food distribution programs, etc.

Does anyone know of any in State College, Bellefonte, Boalsburg, Centre Hall, Pleasant Gap, or nearby areas? I’m particularly interested in where they’re located, who can access them, and whether there are any restrictions

Touring Penn State on Monday with my high schooler. Looking for recs for dinner Sunday night and breakfast Monday morning. Spots that’ll give us a sense of the place. Thanks in advance!

Looking to put together a camping/mountain biking trip in October to explore new trails Targeting central PA region, but flexible. Dm me if you have any interest

I'm a grad student and don't have time in my schedule to deal with a private sale, even though i know that's where I'd get the most value. Mechanically sound just old and dinged up, and I'm not trading it in as i have a family vehicle lined up. Any used car lots/buyers offering over scrap value?

Any healthy food options in sc? Prefer solo eating ones and not too expensive

Hi all! I’m relatively new to State College and I’ve noticed there are not many weekend flea markets, farmers markets, or Amish markets nearby.

What are your favorite flea markets, farmers markets, and Amish markets within an hour drive of state college? I miss fresh Saturday morning donuts (there are surprisingly very little donut options in town) and I love to shop local/family business.

I also LOVE to thrift and go antiquing. I’ve done all of the places in the nearby towns, but if y’all have any suggestions that are also within an hour drive, I would love to hear them!

Has anybody used Frank the Tank car detailing? He has a lot of reviews but mostly in Colorado. I think they just moved here. Looks like they can do both interior and exterior but was wondering if anybody had first hand experience. Thanks!

Looking for an honest and trustworthy electrician or handyman for two small projects: adding an outlet to our garage and also doing the conversion work so we can upgrade to a microwave over the range when we buy a new oven. We are just outside of State College proper. Thanks!

The sign “RIGHT TURN SIGNAL” does NOT mean you cannot make a right on red, if safe to do so. The sign: “NO TURN ON RED” means that you cannot make a right on red.

I’m so tired of having to sit behind ignorant drivers who don’t know how to correctly interpret signs. Please educate yourselves.

Hi All:

As requested before, here's the newsletter I send out on various events and actions one can take in Central PA. More are Centre County focused. For those who are wary of links, this is it: https://mailchi.mp/zeiglerforpa/octoberhappenings

Hello fine people! I need help finding a wedding venue for my wedding next June! We are looking for a cheaper option, as we are having a micro wedding, but don’t want the stress of finding catering/decor or tables and chairs.

Preferable to not be more than 30 mins outside of State College as we are seniors at Penn State!

Anyone have any suggestions?

This is a new series I'm running that focuses on experimental music from touring and local artists.

Anyone hear a rumbling sound? Nothing on flight radar and nothing on weather (to indicate thunder)

Howdy! Looking for a recommendation for an arborist who can tell me what’s going on with some trees and plants on my property. I’m willing to pay for a consult and to better understand what I can do to help or save the trees. Anyone have any good or bad experiences with anyone local? TIA

ASAP — I’m looking for a parking space to rent near Snappy’s on University Drive in State College, including but not limited to Meridian Apartments, The Bellaire Apartments, The Lofts, East Side Apartments, Sutton Court, Lexington House, or anywhere nearby.

I just got back into town, and unfortunately, both my apartment complex and the nearby apartments have already sold out of their parking spaces.

I’m open to taking over an apartment parking space from someone who no longer needs it, as well as renting a private parking space, driveway, or any other nearby option.

Please feel free to message me if you have a spot available or know of anyone renting one. I’m looking to secure a space as soon as possible. Thank you!
