The list is above is potentially incomplete and subject to change as it is based entirely on which tournaments had a schedule on their Liquipedia page.
If you know of a tournament not listed here and / or the schedule of a Liquipedia listed tournament that had no schedule on its page, please notify me in the comments and I will add it in its correct slot.
As a primarily Backend Java/Spring/Groovy Developer, the chance that I will actually get the role is close to zero, but I can now confidently say that I had a shot to help make a freaking STARCRAFT game, and I took it.
I'm the guy who's been making those StarCraft analog horror videos, and... I'll get straight to the point.
English isn't my first language, and I definitely can't pull off a convincing Southern American accent. So I was wondering if anyone here would be willing to help me record a few lines for the series.
Nothing professional is required. I don't mind if the recording quality isn't great or if you're not experienced with voice acting. I just need someone who speaks English natively.
It's really just a few lines
If you're interested, just leave a comment below and I'll get in touch. Thanks!
Warcraft Rumble's game design template was a missed opportunity
Starcraft Rumble
Overwatch Rumble
Diablo Rumble
All could have been future possibilities if Blizzard saw the long term value/vision in what they created with Warcraft Rumble and how they could apply it to other major Blizzard titles/franchises/IPs/brands/games, instead of having narrow blinders on looking at just short term profits.
When will Starcraft RTS(SC2 and SC:R) come out of "maintenance mode" and how will Starcraft RTS(SC2 and SC:R) come out of "maintenance mode"
2029-2030 to make a new SC2 campaign that will be shadow dropped at/by Blizzcon 2030 to go along side the Starcraft 2030 game release.
This will be similar to what was done with WC3:R involving the Forsaken Kingdom, Forsaken Paladin, and WoW Forever.
The WC3:R dev team(Warcraft RTS) worked with Hive Workshop WC3 community modders to create Forsaken Kingdom.
For SC2 there would most likely be a reach out by Blizzard in some manner in 2028-2029 to the GiantGrantGames custom campaign makers/discord, SC2 Mapster community/discord, and the Mappers' Circle community/discord who does the TLMC maps/contests to assemble an all-star team to make the new SC2 campaign from the ground up.
i wanna be able to hold my own in ranked matches of brood war and not get completely stomped.
are there go-to build orders and whatnot that could help me get back into the game? it holds a special place in my heart but everyone is sooo good at it and i'm not!
[Dark Templar Surveillance & Enforcement Log — Final Disposition of the Terran Base on Earth]
- First Visit Report: SCVs were throwing a dance party while tearing Marines and Medics limb from limb. ➡️ Firebat technology transferred for sanitation and containment purposes.
- Second Visit Report: When the first Firebats were deployed, those same SCV bastards broke down in tears, signed written pledges swearing, "We'll never dance again. We'll work hard and never tear Marines or Medics apart again!"But behind our backs, they converted the Firebats intoclub-style mirror-ball lighting systemsand threw a24/7 all-night fire-dancing rave. To make matters worse, they had the audacity to mock the Dark Templar and attempt a coup armed with industrial drills.
⛓️ Enforcement Measures: 24/7 Forced Vespene Gas Mining Automation System Activated
The Dark Templar linked every Extractor (Vespene Gas Refinery) in the base to the armor-suit operating systems (OS) of all 100 SCVs through a psionic network, executing a “Forced Labor Macro Programming” protocol.
- Anti-Dancing Shackles: The system was configured to deliver a 50,000-volt electric shock from inside each SCV's armored suit whenever it attempted to perform World War I or World War II trench-warfare dance steps, or even tried to hum the Terran battle theme with its mouth: “Baam~ baam~ ba-ba-baam~”
- Infinite-Power Refinery Drudgery: All 100 SCVs are now trapped in an endless loop, marching in perfectly aligned columns of four against their will. They walk to the Vespene gas geysers, pick up gas canisters, and deliver them to the Command Center—over and over again, with no possibility of escape.
Hi, is hard very much different to brutal when it comes to difficulty?
I've tried Hard and so far I've completed the Zerg Campaign but I can barely go halfway in Terran's "All In" mission. And I've been doing the cheese strategy by building a lot of Hive Mind Emulators and I took out the Nydus beforehand.
Yesterday I posted about AuthorValentine's magic marine that somehow missed 7 of 8 shots against an scv on a reverse ramp in fighting spirit here. I've gotten deep into the BW weeds with this one, and have an answer showing exactly what happened and why the marine was never actually shooting the scv on equal or from higher ground.
TLDR if you don't care about math and BW map fuckery, the miss chance from the position the marine was at at each of the shots is 46.9% (120/256), not the 1/256 that it appears to be.
Okay, so everyone knows Brood War is a silly game for silly people. We love it all the same. But one of the biggest quirks mapmakers have to deal with is the dreaded "reverse ramp", aka a ramp that is slanted from bottom to top instead of the normal top to bottom way. For reference, here is a "normal" ramp, you can see the high ground tiles in blue.
However, AuthorValentine was on a reverse ramp, which you can see here:
You will immediately notice the difference here, especially in the middle and top of the ramp, where three tiles have three subtiles each in their bottom right that are considered low ground. This happens because these types of ramps are not actually standard in BW, and have to be cobbled together out of other tiles.
If you've ever played BW on ladder you might have noticed sometimes when you send a unit down one of these ramps, it'll lose vision completely for a split second, as if it got hit by optical flare. This is the result on being on these subtiles. In AuthorValentine's case, this didn't happen, leading to the assumption that he was not on one of these tiles.
AuthorValentine's Marine shot from three different positions, which I'll show here.
The first shot from here, was a miss:
The second shot from here was a hit:
And the 3rd through 8th shots were all consecutive misses, fired from here:
If you zoom in (or throw them into an AI to compare them because its easier) you can see that on shots one as well as shots 3-8, AV's Marine was horribly unlucky, as he happened to land on one of these low ground subtiles before shooting, while the SCV always ended up on a high ground subtile.
While this is an extremely unfortunate series of interactions for AV, the actual math works out to be a 1.88% chance to miss 7 of those 8 shots, rather than 1 in 9.04 × 10¹⁵. For those of you who were saying it's a bug, it's not. Just a feature of how BW maps are made. If you're playing on one of these maps, you know where to avoid standing now.
All said, this is still one of the unluckiest marines to have ever lived in BW, but alas, this is not the cosmic level event we thought it might be.
I was recently playing through the Starcraft campaign and I have some thoughts:
Man, I kind of preferred OG Starcraft's story, where Kerrigan is the Big Bad, and Raynor swears to kill her as vengeance for betraying and killing Fenix. Instead, in Starcraft II Raynor is a lovesick puppy simping for Kerrigan, Fenix is barely mentioned at all, completely cheapening his (second) death scene, which was so poignant. Just doesn't make sense. I think the story got way too convoluted and at the same time generic. Back in Brood War, it actually felt vanguard and edgy in a cool way playing as the Zerg last and having them essentially win in the end, with that badass final mission where she destroys Dugalle, Artanis, and Mengk's forces in one stroke. In Starcraft II it felt like they just embraced generic movie tropes and it kind of soured the story, making everything bland. Very questionable creative direction.
This is not the first time that Blizzard has completely shit the bed creativity wise. They pulled the same stunt with Warcraft III's perfect story turning into a slop fest deep into WoW Retail to the point of being laughable.
I just miss when Blizzard actually had inspiration in their stories. Finishing Starcraft 2's story left a sour taste in my mouth, it's essentially unrecognizable from the first game and expansion and the characters were all retconned or character assassinated smh.
I can get to the part where I have enough dropships to bring everyone but I feel like no matter what its never enough to break through, I usually bring 3-4 wraiths to provide cover and hold the bridge whilst my main force(3-4 dropships worth of units including jim and sarah) hit the facility, I've only be able to get away with the first structure(the one in the bottom right of the map) before I run out of units.
Edit: Beat the mission, onto level 6, thanks for the help :D
What’s up, guys! It looks like we are back to 12 workers, and it does not seem like that will change anytime soon. Now is a great time to grind hard, improve, and climb the ladder!
We created myGameDojo to help you do just that. It is a new platform where you can elevate your skills through personal coaching and premium video content. Here you can also get:
Personalized replay analysis.

You can support the project by using the services offered by creators you like, joining their communities, and taking part in discussions.
I have no desire to be famous but I feel Ben when all you want to do is stay home and play Starcraft. I really really love StarCraft and want to play it whenever, wherever I want so I ported it to my pocket device. It's an Anbernic rg34xxsp and it runs Linux ARM64. Just wanted to show off I can play it now.
