Confirm someone’s alumni status

Hello! I am in a weird situation and we (our friend group) have reason to believe that one of our friends is lying about their alumni status from the Stanford graduate school of business. Would any recent alums could do a quick search on the alumni directory to verify?

Many thanks in advance!

Not eligible to vote in Palo Alto City Council elections?

I was just checking my sample ballot from Santa Clara county, so that I could be prepared once I receive my actual mail-in ballot. However, I just realized that there is no section for voting in the Palo Alto City Council.

Just double checked the city boundaries, and yep, all of the campus housing is in Stanford, CA, a CDP unicorporated region, and isn't part of the proper city of Palo Alto. I guess it shouldn't be that much of a surprise, given that my zip code is literally for Stanford, CA - but it is frustrating to find out.

Has there ever been any move to try and move the city boundary to be part of the housing section of the university? I would imagine that Stanford would be strongly, strongly opposed to this. Are there any benefits from not being part of the city Palo Alto, and just being in Stanford instead?

Stanford staff: Do you need to provide references when transferring internally?

When I first joined Stanford, I was asked to provide 3 references, and they called all 3 people.

If I apply for a position in a different department as an internal candidate, will the new department ask me to provide references again? Or do they usually rely on my existing employment record at Stanford?

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through an internal transfer. Thanks!
