Many of you know Ive been rewriting the OGSR engine (S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) on Vulkan for quite a while now. But I couldnt sit out the recent wave of ports: my renderer was already practically done, so I decided to jump on this train.What sets my port apart from the classic trilogy ports: Near-perfect 60 FPS. A bigger world than the original, with no performance cost. A new engine that makes it possible to release and optimize a huge number of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mods for any device.This is just the beginning. It's openmw with tamriel rebuilt, I've only added a mod to remove fatigue drain from running and one for weapon sheaths.

Nice, this will fit perfectly with my gamepad mod for gamma as well, with auto lean and aim assist too.

I was just thinking about how cool it would be to port the X-ray engine over to android... This is amazing. Can you imaging GAMMA or EFP mod packs on the go. I know I could just play it on a handheld pc, but on an android or switch is even cooler.

Yes, but it's a big amount of work, and I'm not sure pure enthusiasm alone will be enough.

I tested it on Adreno and yes, everything worked great. Not sure about Mali, I haven't tried it. I think it should be fine, but that's in theory; honestly, I don't have anything to test it on.

Man, I can’t even put into words how happy this makes me. As a huge fan of the series, I’m genuinely blown away that we’ll finally be able to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mods on the Switch. What an incredible job!

I run it on a steam deck without any ports natively + you get gyro aim

First person on switch is garbage. Anything where you're using those analog sticks for an extended time is a chore. I love my switch, but keep your first person games on other systems.

Haven't used my og switch ina while. But doesn't it have gyro aim? I remember enjoying gyro aiming for a bit.

Its definitely cool that people can get it running, but I don't know why you'd choose this over a PC. Even if I was travelling I'd rather just not play it.

Is it planned, or would it be possible, to make the entire original trilogy playable on this engine?

Also, regarding the other question ... I agree that GAMMA would be unnecessary, given the CPU/RAM requirements—but perhaps the Anomaly mod could be possible ported over?

Impossibile, I mean, you need to tweak it very much, gamma is really ram dependent, and cpu. The switch has only 4gb of shared ram between gpu/cpu. Too much cost
