I ACTUALLY MANAGED TO GET A NEW TIME 15 SECONDS ONLY 3 SECS AWAY FROM TWR LETS GOOOO

So i’ve been playing Super Mario 3D world for years bow on the switch, and i used to speedrun (albeit pretty mediocre) quite a lot. Now ive recently got my switch two, and after a year, ive wanted to return to speedrunning. For the first level, my PB is 16 seconds. Is this good and does any professionals have any suggestions or constructive criticism for me? Thanks!

My run just got approved a few days ago and I am so excited!:) I am in the NG+ Any% category on PlayStation 5 in Resident Evil 4 (2023). But I am 13th almost top 10!! it isn’t a huge category nor the most popular game anymore. I am a little late to the speedrunning scene as I just started in July. The game can definitely be a running simulator but there are a lot of glitches to perform.

I haven’t learned like two of them because they are run killers. If you mess them up Leon gets stuck forever looped and even reloading the save doesn’t fix it. So, I’m trying to avoid those glitches for now but it’s looking like i’m going to have to learn them. Here is a link to my verified run:)

Ok so as a part of my job I deliver the in-site mail (I work at a pharmaceutical factory) twice a day, and just for the fun of it I always try to deliver the mail as fast as I can and time it. Well, this week 3 of the places we usually deliver to are on vacation, which meant that we could actually skip 1 building completely.

Me and my colleague have been perfecting the pathing of this run for months, and two weeks ago we came up with the route that we figured was the most optimized

Now, this might just seem like a boring thing, but there are actually some RNG elements involved in the run: sometimes the gate keycard readers don't work properly, sometimes the slow-ass elevator is 4 floors up from where I want it to be, and I have to wait for it, sometimes the last place where we drop off deliveries has like 5 packages that we have to pick up. Today though, today most of the stuff mentioned worked out: only the elevator was a bitch. Meaning that I could probably still shave off ~30 seconds off my run

Anyway, the PB is 23 minutes 2 seconds. Normally it takes us about 30-35 minutes, so quite the improvement!

Idk if this is allowed on this sub, just thought it was funny.

Onto 1.5 million and beyond!!!!

I just PB’d!! Shout out to my homie staying in chat and being with me during my whole run! He motivated me and had faith and I actually PB’d!! I kept saying nah nah this is just practice so I wouldn’t get my hopes up. But I got a 2 minute personal best today !

In this category, it is using a file where you have already beaten the game. You can use any guns, any charms, any cases, any costumes, and perform most glitches. There is rules to follow etc. Most speedrunners make a completed save file that is optimal for speedrunning.

I choked hard at the end with Ashley in the Jet Ski section. I nearly died! I had to take it slow. I also missed some skips like navi cave skip and elevator skip. I did some sections really good though.

I don’t have this new run edited and uploaded yet, but when I submit it I should officially be top 10 in Resident Evil 4 New Game Plus Any% on PlayStation 5!! Woooh!!!! 🎈I’m currently placed 13th!

I am not the first but the only.

Last month, I was surpassed by otterstone_gamer who was the first to reach 3000 world records.

after a rough week of running i was able to achieve a neae 300 wr sprint to reclaim the top spot and sniped enough to knock otter under 3k.

as of this post score is my 3039 to otterstone_gamer's 2986.

I believe this is the last time i will hold the most world records on src.

I’m the developer of RIDGERUNNERS. This is the final and hardest event in the demo’s single-player Circuit.

Gold requires an average course speed of 100 m/s. And after way over 500 failed attempts, this is the run that finally did it. I'm sure I could do it even faster now.. but y'know, I should focus on building the game.

The route uses all the movement systems in the game: downhill skiing, air-turning and strafing, rocket and disc launcher boosts, grapple redirection, and the hammer to trade height for forward speed.

This replay is now the actual Gold ghost included in the game, so players can race directly against this run. The course is available in the free demo (circuit -> event 6), if wants to give it a go and beats the ghost or any of the other gold ghosts, I'd love to see it!

Trying to break the "Tommy is too hard for SBK2" stigma :) Took well over 500 attempts to beat my previous best of 17.200 from june of last year.
