if you haven't seen mcsr ranked, it's 1v1 matchmaking for minecraft 1.16 any%. both players load the same random seed at the same moment, and the race ends at the first dragon kill.

this one is v_strid and silverrruns. the lead changed hands three times before the stronghold, and the two dragons died 58 milliseconds apart.

i put both twitch povs side by side, lined up on the match countdown, with a split timer in the middle that reads every split from the ranked api. it's the full match, nothing cut:

I been playing WSR since I was a toddler (now 16) and recently got into the blindfolded speedrun community and decided to go for WSR 18 hole golf blindfolded WR and after a few days of practice and runs, I got it! Got this later the same day I got the All Levels run that I posted recently, so I wanted to space them out a little bit...

100% is sadly very restrictive with the skips you can do due to the fact that you have to collect certain collectibles spread out throughout each of the levels, which means it's not as flashy as All Levels (other than Secret Swim, which is arguably even flashier), and also the last level turns from a very simple boss fight to a massive RNG-fest, but it's still a great run nonetheless imo :')

I beat my previous record! This time no audio glitch and alot of interesting close calls. Should be a good watch if you're into RPG speedrunning!

This might be the final minute barrier, at least for a looong time. I'm very happy with this run, even though it has some timelosses. I managed to show all the newer stuff like the backwards launches or the new setup for the skip at the end of Capitol. I also had to go for Coal Mine 1 skip, which led to the craziest moment in my 11 years of speedrunning this game. Especially in 2023, 2024 and 2026, this category underwent many changes and the skill ceiling and optimization are out of this world, now. This is the most intense category with the most tricks out of all TLoU speedruns, and many of them are very technical.

Sorry if it's a stupid question, I always liked speedruns, but never was part of the community. And the question is more about challenge run than a speedrun, but I don't know where else I could ask this.

Right now I want to do a one-life run of a horror game that I like, but it lasts for about 10-12 hours and I realistically can only afford 4-5 hour play sessions at most, so I have to save and quit at some point, once or twice. Is there are way to still prove that run was legitimate? How do speedrunners deal with runs like this for long games? Or is it impossible and they always just grind the full session?

Edit: Thanks everyone for explaining things to me. While it looks like there's no magic pill I was looking for, I still learned a lot of new stuff today :)

This makes the All Levels category officially over 2 minutes shorter than Any% was when I first started running the game about 5 years ago, and that's with 2 whole additional levels, which coincidentally also happen to be the longest ones in the run...

As someone who's used to running a lot of popular games and not really caring about becoming top level at them, I'm very happy and proud about how much I've been able to push one of my childhood favorite games over the years of on and off grinding! :)

I know there's only one other guy who runs the game, but Ive nearly cut the original 3 minute run in half and discovered 2 skips ( both have guides if you're interested in running the game )

wr clocks in around 6:23 for The Legend of Kage any% super fun and simple run requires decent amount of rng aswell as a couple techniques ;) hope to see more people run the game!

A new glitch was discovered where throwing more than 32 tikis out of bounds can overwrite critical game memory. Almost instantly, it starts overwriting warp tables.

Special care must be taken to prevent the game from crashing horribly.

This requires 2 TAS-like throws for some float-perfect setups, so it is not viable in RTA Any% yet.

- "High Punch Trick" exploit is allowed in this category, although it is not used on every character as not every character can do it efficiently due to AI pattern and hit box differences. It is used wherever possible to save time.

This might be the biggest discovery the game has ever seen since this note door has bottlenecked the Any% category for decades. It should save around 25-30 minutes if done optimally.

autosplit64 ended my timer before i grabbed the star anybody know why this happened and how to fix it? i have my route in as64 set to the “final” split type on my bits split.

6 years ago OoT players raced a ridiculous challenge. A full glitchless run on our practice ROM with all textures removed, and the only visuals being the hitboxes of actors.
