Game What if Terraria had the engineering complexity of Space Engineers? I've been building that game for 4 years.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Imagine starting on a distant planet with nothing but a tiny survival ship. You need to gather resources, mine ores, refine them into ingots, manufacture components, and slowly build your way toward something bigger.
That's the kind of game I've been dreaming about for years, so 4 years ago I decided to start making it myself.
It's called MineEngineer, a 2D space engineering survival sandbox where almost everything you build has a purpose, and every engineering decision can have consequences.
I didn't want building to be just placing blocks together and calling it a spaceship. I wanted players to actually think about how their creations work.
For example, you can build a massive battleship with dozens of thrusters, weapons, and storage containers. But without a properly designed power system, fuel distribution, oxygen supply, and conveyor network, it's just a giant piece of metal floating through space.
There are already over 200 interconnected systems in the game. You can program individual blocks, create automated factories, build remote-controlled drones, design walking mechas, or construct entire ships that operate with minimal player interaction.
And everything is physically simulated and destructible. A single well-placed hit could disable your engines, destroy your conveyor network, or even split your ship in half.
You can spend hours designing the perfect ship, only to discover a tiny engineering mistake during your first battle.
I also wanted exploration to feel meaningful. The universe is procedurally generated, with planets, asteroids, different environments, enemies, and plenty of space to explore. It's actually so massive that crossing the entire world at full speed takes around 7 hours.
I'm also working on progression, more enemies, environmental hazards, bosses, and multiplayer, so there will be more reasons to explore, survive, and keep improving your creations.
The crazy part is that I've been developing all of this alone for the past 4 years. There were so many moments when I thought certain mechanics would be impossible to implement, but slowly, piece by piece, everything has started coming together.
The game is called MineEngineer, and there's already a free demo available on Steam. You can also wishlist it if the concept sounds interesting.
I'm curious about one thing though. If you had complete freedom to build and program almost any machine in a massive 2D universe, what would you try to create first?
Personally, I think watching people build things I never even imagined is going to be one of the most exciting parts of releasing this game.

Game Release Stellurne: lead massive fleet wars across a living, war-torn frontier, where every warship is a city of hundreds and every battle is fought both outside the hull and within.
- Ships are real engineering. Sectioned armor, separate energy and heat, weapons matched by size, type and mount, and signature abilities for each ship line. The same hull fitted two ways plays like two different ships. Now have 50+ uniques!
- Every warship is a living colony. Hundreds of crew eat, sleep, work shifts and man battle stations. Fires, decompression, permanent injuries and mutiny inside the hull decide how the ship fights outside. You can control each of them!
- The frontier runs without you. Three powers besiege ports and rebuild their navies, markets follow real supply and demand, and pirates raid convoys. Every side you take moves the front line. Too much to describe in one line ;)
I am recruiting players for first closed playtest in late October. Comment or DM if you'd like in!

I accidentally maded a new browserbased 3D spacetrading multiplayer game.
It's my firts time at Reddit since i've got suggested it by fiends, to sho here waht i did do.
All in all a simple Question and a bit reasearch and experiments leaded into a complete new space-trading multiplayergame, based on specialiced decentral data-APIs, node-backend with only 5 depencies, with nullengine and socket io, written in mjs (handmaded and v8 optmized) adn the frontend is a common webbrowser. The system is a "no-OOS" full simulation in a decentral microservice architecture with sector-sharding, Endless scalable by decentral clustering. The 50-space-sectors-cluster runs at a dedicated server with Xeon E5 2650 v2 and 32GB RAM. API-Servers runs on decentral micro-VMs.
(shuttering in video is by my laptop with ryzen5 4500U - 15 watts APU, more i dont have. Browser + OBS was bit "overload")
- If you have questions, simply ask ;)
So what do i do with it now? At the moment i dont know it. Do you have suggestions?

I made a free browser space strategy game where nothing goes faster than light
Self-promotion, since I'm the one who made it.
VonN starts you with a single von Neumann probe in a 10,000-star galaxy shared with other players. Light speed is the hard limit for everything. Your commands take 4 seconds per light-year to arrive, and what your ships see takes the same time to get back, so you're always working from old information.
It's free at https://VonN.io with no signup. I'm running the first real test right now and want to hear what space game fans make of it.
It's free, and it stays free. Cosmetics come from a Signal Cache you can open every 4 hours, and duplicates turn into shards. After the test, caches open with a short ad you pick to watch, and the end of a run plays one more. Paying $4.99 once turns ads off for good. Nothing is pay-to-win, and nothing is for sale right now.
I'm collecting feedback in the #vonn channel on my Discord. https://discord.gg/VzHpyQfV4q
Claude wrote some of the code, and I did the hard parts.

Game Release Warpfield: A game inspired by Eve Online
The game is inspired by EVE Online, but with three key changes:
Less grinding, more strategy. Resources are regional, not everywhere. No single faction can mine or manufacture everything it needs. Survival depends on trade, alliances, and diplomacy, not repetitive mining runs.
Building and community come first. Found a nation. Build a shelter even with limited resources. Claim and develop planets, down to small personal touches that make a place feel like home. The galaxy starts as an empty void, every station is built by players, from nothing.
Other players stories are visible. See who’s in a system or station right now. Understand the supply chains that keep a faction alive, and who holds which role in it. Read what’s driving other players and use that for more complex diplomacy.
You can join the game here: https://ascanius3.itch.io/warpfield

Kardaviik - Looking for playtesters!
Hey everyone 👋
I'm the Community Manager for Kardaviik, an upcoming 3D factory automation game set in a voxel asteroid belt.
We're currently running a free, open playtest on Steam, and I'd love to invite the r/spacegames community to give it a go!
In Kardaviik, you can explore procedurally generated asteroids, mine resources and build sprawling factories across the asteroid belt. There's no need to stick to flat layouts either, as you can build in every direction and expand your operation however you like.
You can explore and build solo or team up with friends!
We're actively looking for player feedback, so whether you've got suggestions, run into bugs, or just want to show off something you've built, we'd really appreciate you getting involved!

Game What if you built the propulsion backbone first—and constructed your spacecraft around it? [StellarForge dev update]
Hi, I'm Justin, a space enthusiast making my first solo game, StellarForge.
I'm exploring spacecraft construction that begins with the machinery that makes the craft possible: a huge load-bearing spine and propulsion interfaces, with habitats built around them. Fighters would use compact chassis instead.
The images below are early Blender grayboxes, produced with AI-assisted Python modeling scripts—not in-game flight footage or finished ships. The proposed colony backbone is 200 metres long. This pass is about proportions, modular anchors and engine interfaces; materials, detailed systems and engine-side fit are still being worked on.
The wider game is a space colony-building project. Working systems and prototypes are at different stages, and the complete colony-to-spacecraft journey is not finished.
I'm looking for colony/space-game players interested in following early builds and helping spot confusing interactions and bugs. Join the Discord for development updates, feedback and test-build announcements: https://discord.gg/K3MUpZjD4
This is a tester-interest invitation, not a promise of immediate access. Honest criticism is welcome. Would you prefer building freely around an exposed core, or selecting a chassis with stronger constraints?

Game Seven waves beyond a haunted jump gate — our space-MMO Halloween event
I develop World of Frontiers, a free browser space MMO. Our Halloween event, Echoes of the Void, opens October 19. This 30-second preview shows the Rift of the Damned, Dreadlord Nocturnus and a staged three-faction fight against the Harvester.
The seven-wave Rift has an earnable Specter cosmetic you keep permanently. October 31 is the Nightmare climax; November 1 remains open for farming and exchanging event currency. The event ends November 2, 2026 at 00:00 UTC.
The base game is playable now: https://florim-studios.itch.io/world-of-frontiers
Footage is recorded in our local game-engine event preview. Original synthesized score, synthetic narration and AI-assisted assets. Optional purchases.
Which encounter would you try first: the solo Rift or the shared boss?

Game Three factions, one universe — a 30-second cinematic for my free browser space MMO
I develop World of Frontiers. This is the English 30-second cinematic: a look at Helios, Vesper and Ember, with animated 3D scenes and gameplay footage. It is a trailer, not an uncut gameplay recording.
The game is free to play on PC and mobile in a browser, with PvE, PvP, clans and optional purchases. Original music, synthetic narration and AI-assisted artwork.

Game Before/after of the Steam art for my space trading game. Which one would you click?
The old ones felt a bit empty and you could barely read the name on the small one.
Made the logo bigger and added one of the inspection ships you run into in-game. Wanted to show a bit more of the game itself. The ship model is by Quaternius.
The ship and planet use the game's current textures and lighting, so it does match how the game looks right now.

Old on the left, new on the right. Which would you click? Anything you'd keep from the old one?
