Discussion This website was one of the things that radicalized me... you would genuinely struggle to ever spend this much wealth in a thousand lifetimes, even with 1% of Bill Gates' wealth you could make life of a king look like that of a peasant, and bill gates isn't even in the top 10 richest people anymore.
these greedy traitors to our society should be jailed for life
if they lost 99% of their wealth they would still be fucking billionaires
i know taxing the rich doesn't fix the core issues of capitalism but at least after the new deal there was a period of enough taxation, redistribution of wealth and better working conditions that people thrived for a while, then regan repealed it all because that's what happens under a capitalist political system...
i'm so mad, we all have to slave away at jobs, either being physically or mentally exhausted, and that even includes cushy jobs, because you're still selling the limited time that you're alive away
You could buy a Boeing 747 airplane, 10 FREAKING MANSIONS, 10 Yachts, 100 single family homes, 100 gold bars, 100 ferraris 100 monster trucks, 100 teslas, 100 ford F-150's, 100 rolexes, 100 acres of farm land, 100 smartphones
AND YOU STILL WOULDN'T HAVE SPENT A BILLION...
i hate this shit.

News Reports from the front line – Spain, France and Germany | AGAINST THE STREAM
Today’s youth have grown up with nothing but war and crisis. As Marx explained, it’s the real conditions of society that shape consciousness. So it’s no surprise that many are reaching revolutionary conclusions on their own.
Class questions are coming to the fore everywhere. A decade ago, protests were often framed as calls for ‘more democracy’, or for voting in a different government. Those illusions are gone. On the streets of Spain, tens of thousands are chanting ‘Esto es lucha de clases, no podemos hacer las paces’ [this is class struggle, we cannot make peace] and ‘Los invasores son los inversores’ [the invaders are the investors].
Whilst the causes of these youth-led movements vary from country to country, the same host of issues are present everywhere: militarism, racism, police violence, housing, Palestine, and the climate crisis. Together they’re feeding a revolutionary mood across the continent.
Europe’s rulers have no way out. With inflation rising and governments buried in debt, they can’t keep the economy stable without provoking social and political upheaval. Years of austerity, decay, and inequality have built up the pressure, and now it’s bursting out.

Discussion Thoughts on the ilhan Omar raid?
From an accelerationist point of view I can see why it would be seen as a positive. She is a liberal sheepdog. But I can also see the perspective that the raid is fascist in nature and therefor way too far.

Discussion Corporate profits near record highs and labor share at record lows
If we measure the ratio of profits to wages in Marxist terms, namely as the rate of surplus value, we find that it has never been so high.

Discussion I think i found a comrade in denial
Comrades, have you ever heard of the YouTuber 'philosophical gamer'?
I’ve been watching his videos, and he brings up some really beautiful, radical socialist points. He genuinely cares about the working class and even started his own worker-owned creative co-op to protect artists from exploitative bosses.
The problem is, he’s currently glorifying a system called Geoism, which is the complete opposite of the liberation he’s actually arguing for.
I really want to help him out because right now, he is unknowingly spreading some confusing misinformation to his audience. By wrapping Geoism in eco-socialist rhetoric, he is accidentally making a hyper-capitalist tax reform look like an anti-capitalist utopia. He tells his viewers that Geoism treats land as a free human right, but seems to miss that it still leaves corporations, billionaires, and the exploitation of labor completely untouched.
We should literally help him, cuz a person following a system that doesn't correspond with their ideology can do some serious harm to a person.

Theory From Colony to Cop: The Imperial Boomerang
For Césaire, fascism began with colonialism. He argued that the horrors of Nazism are a reflection of European colonial empires and their violence. This relationship between periphery and center continues today where the violence of the empire always returns like a boomerang.
This video examines the “Imperial Boomerang”: how violence, surveillance, racism, and military repression developed abroad return home as militarized policing, mass incarceration, concentration camps, militarized borders, and authoritarianism. What an empire tolerates “over there” eventually transforms life at home; their suffering becomes yours.
I hope this video is as informative as it is engaging, as eye-opening as it is scary.

News Three-year-old Maryam Ghanem in hospital with second degree burns after watching her mother burn alive because an Israeli attack.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Three-year-old Maryam Ghanem, the girl the world watched being carried out of a burning apartment in Gaza City at around 4am this morning, is now lying in Al-Shifa Hospital with second-degree burns. An Israeli occupation strike hit her family’s home while she slept, and she screamed as her mother burned to death in front of her. Her father was killed at the start of the genocide. Maryam is now an orphan, and her grandmother is all she has left. In this clip, the speaker asks what she did to deserve this, and says she survived only to bear witness against a world that has watched Gaza for three years and done nothing: witness to its betrayal, and to its silence. The Israeli occupation army has killed nearly 22,000 children in Gaza. “Speak up,” he says. “See us.”

Discussion Boycott question
Hi,
I feel like I’m always seeing posts of companies to boycott that invest in ICE, AI, Israel, etc. but I’m having trouble finding alternatives for a lot of companies. For example I use Amazon to buy almost everything. I’m disabled so I pretty much shop online for everything I need. So what’s the best alternative to Amazon? Amazon is the biggest example I have but there’s so many more. Has anyone created like a master list of companies to boycott with good alternatives?
Any advice is appreciated, thank you

History Today 1963 in Yemen marks the beginning of the 14th October Revolution
On 14 October 1963, the National Liberation Front (NLF) launched an anti-colonialist uprising starting in Radfan against the British-occupied Aden Protectorate. After almost 3 years of insurgency, the British announced their withdrawal in January 1967. This led to a brief power struggle against the Nasserist FLOSY, which the NLF defeated in November 1967 following complete Egyptian withdrawal due to the Six-Day War.
Finally, on 22 June 1969, the Marxist-Leninist faction under the leadership of Abdul Fattah Ismail and Salim Rubai Ali orchestrated an internal coup of the NLF, which laid the foundation for the establishment of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen. This marked the beginning of an independent, socialist and anti-imperialist Yemen.
Unfortunately, due to continued internal power struggles, a brutal civil war in 1986, and the decline of the USSR under Gorbachev, South Yemen experienced a severe economic crisis that pressured it into unification with Saudi-backed North Yemen.
Today, the anti-imperialist spirit of the revolution lives on with the vision of a Yemen free from external meddling remaining at the forefront of their struggles. Hopefully things will transpire to the benefit of the Yemeni people.
