Found a new friend. I’ve been trying to identify it. But can’t get it to retract so I can see whether there are any denticles.

Then I started to wonder. Maybe it can’t fit back in its shell? Maybe it’s too chunky. Or maybe just stubborn.

Either way I’d love help identifying this guy. Thinking mesodon or neohelix. Found in NC.

I wanted to combine a snail with elegant botanical patterns, giving it a little vintage, Art Nouveau-inspired feel.
The design is printed in white on natural cotton, and I really like how subtle it looks against the fabric.
I run a small creative project in Japan called Kotsumu Sha, where I explore the world of snails through art and design.
What do you think? Would you carry a snail tote bag like this? 😊

I saw this snail on my way to my exam- I feel like it was good luck. I need some help with identifying it. I’m in SWVA. Also, is it a male or female?

I planted chia in my snail tank and maggots came! Please tell me what to do!

Never seen these around until today

He got this scar from a fall and it's been like a month since he's gotten it

This is Goomy, he says hi :3

My lil cutie 🥹

I realised I have never shown photos of my third Helix pomatia, Blandina, on here. Which is unfair but also short-sighted, since Blandina makes the best faces.

So I’ve been keeping two albino giant african snails for one year, bought from the pet shop, and two weeks ago one of them retracted into its shell and hasn’t come out since. I tried putting food right in front of it, I frequently mist the tank with water, and I even tried giving it baths but it won’t come out. It responds lightly when I spray water on it but it stops moving again soon after. The other snail is healthy, it eats and explores the tank often, so I have no idea why this one ended up like this.. I really don’t want to lose it, since it’s been a precious companion of mine since last year

Such a cute creation

Couldnt find any more or any eggs

I agree

I’ve had my snail (only one) since March and he has not been in contact with another snail since then.
However I found a single white round egg next to the door of his tank.

I think my snail is the Virgin Mary..?

Do we like aquatic snails here too? 🥰🐌

Lissachatina fulica babies I am raising.

The eggs in the first photo are not the exact eggs these snails hatched from. I’ve included it to show what they would have looked like, as they are from the same species.
