This game is pretty tedious, especially the tadmen stage
I have been playing through Seaman for the first time in 23ish years. I definitely never got this far, and only remember the first fish phase from when I played it years ago. I completely misremembered this game. It's not at all what I expected...
Firstly, Seaman's chat is absolutely terrible. What is the point of the questions that effectively lead nowhere? They only seem to exist to give context for the dull monologues on evolution or the problems of television which inevitably follow.
The air and temperature mechanisms are pointless, and only add to the tedium. I understand that the game wants me to care for seaman regularly, but why make that such a chore?
I am currently at the 'tadmen' stage, and have been for two weeks or so. Nothing is happening. The tadmen don't even need feeding. Can I do anything to speed on to the next phase?
Clinging on to playing this game for so long would have been a miracle in 2003. That's probably why I never got past the fish stage.
