The airline desks and luggage check in area of the 3 US airlines and El Al have access restricted by security perimeter which can only be passed through by showing an electronic boarding pass on smartphone. If someone does not have a boarding pass, and wants to get one printed at the airline desk, how to do it? The current setup seems like a Chicken or the Egg dilemma

I got a pen pal app recently that encourages you to collect 'stamps' from all over the world, but I'm finding a city as small as Vatican City difficult to meet anyone from.
