Hilariously awful dialogue. A ridiculous level of bombast. Thoroughly unpolished. About 7 different interface styles. Kangaroo Zombie Men. Random Lizards. Crab Men. Snakes. Multiple Adas. Gay Sexual Tension. Flamboyancy. German Suplexes. Overhead Presses. Unnecessary Flirting. Why Is Sherry Dressed Like That In That One Section Why Do The Labs Clothes Have BOWS ON THEM. Electric Arm Piers. Kameya Maha Beam to the last boss in Chris' mission.

This is resident evil at its most unrestrained and most ridiculous, it sucks, but I'll be lying if I say I'm not loving every minute of this re-play. (Currently on a full replay of the numbered titles)

EDIT: I will say replaying it after 5 years of hyper polished, focus tested, soulless games (not in the re series, AAA in general) definitely adds to the appeal because it's such a mess of a game and of it's time.

After the basement part, I was traversing the care center to collect the remaining loot. When I got to the stairs part marked in the map, I heard a scream. It happened only once. Anyone else experienced this? Is it just an ambience? There weren’t any enemies nearby at that time.

When i got the magnum somewhere in 3-1, I fully upgraded it because i thought it would be really good. I think it spend like 30-50k to max it out as much as i could. unfortunately, it seems i have bad RNG, or the ammo is really rare. I did not find 1 single piece of ammo until 5-1, and now that im on 6-2, i have been saving up the whole time and have a whopping 18 bullets, lol.

I am in desperate need of help for a Leon costume for Halloween. No idea really where to start. I’m sort of new to cosplsy but I really want an accurate (close enough) costume for some Halloween parties this year. Does anyone have suggestions for the vest primarily, and overall uniform?

So ive played re4r a lot on steam deck and a little bit on higher end hardware than that but the switch 2 port came out and the control feels a lot... faster than I remember. Like leon runs really fast and I remember it feeling a bit more weighty kind of like re9. Does anyone else feel it? either in this port or maybe after returning to the game just having remembered it feeling different? I feel like im going crazy

I don't own the game yet so I can't procure it myself but I've been meaning to watch the cutscenes without the music. I want to hear the grunts and the sound effects for an animation project

When I try to remove the audio using my phone it seems to lower sound quality

I got a question regarding the Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles, i really don’t like on-rail shooters but, i wanna ask, are the events on this games important for the lore if i already played RE1, RE0, RE2, RE3 and Code:Veronica?

Plugged residentevil.net into the Wayback Machine after seeing the URL at the end of RE6, expecting the captures to start around 2012. Turns out the domain actually goes all the way back to 1999.

​Long before Capcom owned it, the site was a huge survival horror hub run by an early webmaster going by SCSIKID. Between 1999 and 2001, it was partnered with a bunch of other classic fan sites under the "Umbrella Network" banner. The surviving forum captures are a wild time capsule of pre-YouTube fandom, mostly full of people in 2001 theorizing that RE4 was going to be a game centered around HUNK.

​Since there were no wikis or easy datamining tools back in 2000, building a lore section meant the admin had to use hex codes on PC saves of RE2 just to force all the in-game diaries and lab reports into his inventory so he could transcribe them by hand.

​Around 2001, likely because Capcom started locking down domains for their own online projects, the site rebranded to evil-shmevil.com before quietly going dark around 2002.

​Looking at the old archive trail to see why the site vanished, it basically just faded out when the owner moved on to university. Leaving names and specifics out of it for privacy, the funny twist is that after spending the late 90s transcribing fictional Umbrella lab notes for the site, the webmaster actually ended up going into computational biology and bio-engineering. (This however I am still unsure about, I found matching names, same locational things all public online).

I do deep dives and rabbit holes a lot, but usually it dies off before I get anywhere interesting, but this time I wanted to post about it since I've found absolutely nothing else online about any of it.

I had bought 2 first and figured it would play similar but when I aim or move with the camera it seem like lef/right is up/down and vise versa. Is there to make it so I can aim moving my joystick and it going in the direction I actually am moving the joystick?

I first try forgotten soldier but Runaway seems fucking impossible. Am i the only one???

I went to a local RE pop up event last week and met tons of RE cosplayers (even got to do an escape room which might have as well been a gas chamber but it was still cool). Fast forward a day or two later, and I made an instagram note asking if I should do cat ears for my next Leon… And by popular demand, I have obliged.
