JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior AI Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will own the architecture, development, and deployment of our next-generation artificial intelligence capabilities.
You will work closely with product and engineering teams to transform complex workflows into seamless, automated, and intelligent user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable AI/ML pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
• Integrate, fine-tune, and optimize Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI APIs.
• Collaborate with full-stack engineers to seamlessly embed intelligent features into our core web applications.
• Design efficient vector database schemas and optimize semantic search capabilities.
• Benchmark, test, and continuously improve model performance, latency, and cost-efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years focused specifically on AI, Machine Learning, or NLP production systems.
Proven track record of shipping and scaling Generative AI or LLM-powered applications in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Deep proficiency in Python and modern AI frameworks (such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, PyTorch, or Hugging Face).
Production experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, Chroma, or pgvector).
Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and API design (REST, GraphQL).
Strong problem-solving abilities and a self-driven mindset capable of navigating ambiguous technical challenges.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

I'm looking for an experienced software developer to collaborate with on a remote, part-time contract basis.

The main responsibility will be handling technical interviews and discussions with potential clients as an authorized technical representative, explaining engineering solutions, answering technical questions, and discussing project requirements.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong English and Spanish communication skills (both required)
• Fluent and confident in technical conversations in both languages
• Strong experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs, databases, backend architecture, and cloud technologies
• Comfortable discussing system design, debugging, and real-world development challenges
• Able to communicate technical concepts clearly and professionally

Compensation & Schedule:

• $30–$45 USD/hour, depending on experience
• Approximately 10 hours per week
• 100% remote
• Flexible working hours
• Potential for long-term collaboration and additional hours
