This is exactly like Mookie at Houston a few years ago. That is not a home run. Call has to be changed.

It happened in 2004 when they got Bellhorn’s HR right. Same location even, except it was the old park though.

According to Schlittler, playing in Tampa is the same as a home game so the Yankees just got swept at home.

Fan interference seems to occur more frequently at Yankee playoff home games compared to other ballparks. It’s like they pride themselves on fan cheating.
Jeffrey Mayer who reach over the fence in 1996 is considered a hero. They LIKE that he fooled the umps. They LIKE that they got an undeserved home run. It’s like they’re telling you :
‘It’s true- We have no character!’

Let's hope they play the "we didn't have Judge card" and keep him
Also, we've said this so many times now I'll believe it when it actually happens

u/noreast2011 redsox7 6d ago
I doubt it. Cashman will say something about injuries and then extend Boone.

Chances Cora takes over for him? I know he already turned down the Phillies again because he wants to take '27 off too, but that doesn't really mean anything if the right job comes calling

I’m watching and rooting for Tampa to humiliate the fucking Yankees.
Of course if they get runs and go ahead the tv gets shut right off. I loathe the NY fans even more than the team.
EDIT: I just shut tv off. 🤬🤬🤬🤬

My only disappointment is how the ALDS isn't on Fox this year. I would've paid good money for Papi and Junior Caminero to reenact this scene from last year. https://youtube.com/shorts/5DHGjN6zzN8?is=zhbzsh1puEMmD408

1) Yankees fans & the local media were right about this being a sweep. Who knew it would be the other team doing the sweep in the Rays? That made it beautiful.
2) The Rays knew they were sweeping last night. They had no intention of staying in New York another night. They played like it from the 1st inning.
3) It never gets old when the Yankees get eliminated. In fact, it gets better every year.
4) Third year in a row, an opposing team celebrate at Yankee Stadium to end the Yanks' season.

This series should be a wake up call to management that the American League is completely wide open if we put a competitive offense together next season. Only 7 earned runs for the Rays across three games versus 5 for the Yankees. Rays take it off an incredible start from Rasmussen in game 1 and the Yankees gifting them three unearned runs in game 2, but to be honest they really only have a puncher's chance against whoever comes out of the NL. Rasmussen can only carry them so far in a 7-game series and their offense is not particularly scary with Diaz slumping.

u/Glum-General-6095 7d ago
AL was so weak this year. If we had average power numbers and a slightly above offense, were probably competing for a Title.
