I made my first protection spell for a friend and I sealed it with tape to keep the energy in.

I only used their first name since I only know their first name, would it still work?

Sorry I’m still new but I am forming my first grimoire, has I wrote down the candle colour meanings and my protection spell.

I am even putting down herbs that I know has a herbalist, like what their used for healing and why their used that way. What each herb is used for healing/treating etc, I connect more to nature and animals so it just fits.

Maybe next time I do a protection spell I could add my dog’s hair, since my dog is the biggest affection machine out there but she is also very protective when it comes to those she likes. ❤️

i’m a baby witch and i need help on warding my name since i’ve always felt like whenever i go to a place, i always get mentioned and talked badly especially on the places where my ex best friend and her new friends go to. since there are 5 planets that are on retrograde and going on a blast rn as they said, that it’s best to cast spells this retrograde cause it works faster.

so to sum it all up i used a banana dead bugs moldy raspberries thorns a petition for both of them nails i sealed him (his photo i poked holes into and wrote his name backwards on) into a urine cup with the moldy raspberries and nails as well and cayenne pepper and paprika and other spicy foods and spices and on the top i wrote a common sigil used to hex people that have done you wrong

* i put it behind a dumpster where i lived near but i moved so im nowhere near it now oh and i also did a reflection spell before this using a mirror and other things

* and if youre wondering why i included his bm in the hex, she knew we were together when he cheated with her and she basically mocked me when i found out and called me naive and stupid

and i did get confirmation from one of my deities i work with through tarot because it was the card associated with her and had her name on it and a picture of her representing the card when i asked about his retribution status so yeah i feel like shes handling it very very very well. i just wanted to see what other witches think

So basically I had these weird dreams in my sleep and a cat was always in each one of them in one of those dreams I was saving a baby bull and this cat was trying to stop me so I pushed her out of the way and I don't know how to explain it but she fell out of the dream after that she appeared in another one and i tried to talk to her but I wasn't able to communicate with her so I just started to ask yes or no questions and she would move something as yes or stay still if no and after we spent a bit of time together in that dream she was able to communicate with me not by talking but I just kind of understand what she meant I talked to her about witchcraft and stuff like that and i don't know how to explain it but she seemed related to these stuff and her personality was really weird anyway before the dream ended she bit my leg hard and I actually felt the pain and then the dream ended but I woke up in another dream saying aww I wish that dream was true because somehow I knew she was a being that was very knowledgeable and when I told someone in my dream about the cat I woke up and im just thinking it can't be all just a coincidence so I was just wondering if there is a being reaching out to me or if it was really just a dream and IF there was something reaching out to me how do I respond? (Oh and I want to know what the bite meant)

I’m still a baby witch, mostly practicing basic protection and cleansing so far (though I did successfully do a sweetening spell for my girlfriend and her mom a while ago, which went really well!).

Now, I’m facing a situation with my girlfriend and I’d love some advice, especially regarding if is something i should or shouldn’t interfere.

The context:
My girlfriend has been struggling with loneliness and trust issues. Her former best friend completely drifted away after her parents got involved with Scientology, cutting contact and leaving behind some harsh comments. It broke my girlfriend's heart, and she's been really down about it ever since.
Recently, through a guy they both know, the former best friend was actually asking about my girlfriend. It gave my GF a spark of hope, but she’s too scared to reach out first in case she gets hurt again.

My idea & dilemma:
I was thinking about doing a modified "come back" or gentle communication spell. I don’t want to control what the other girl says or force feelings, but I want to gently to open a line of communication so they can have a safe conversation—whether that means talking things out, getting closure, or properly healing. However, I'm really worried about interfering and messing up the situation more. At the same time, seeing my girlfriend so sad about missing her best friend kills me. Also, when I did it for her and her mom it actually went well, but this girl and my GF hasn’t talked for a year now, so I now is a complete different situation.

If someone knows about a good spell for my situation or other advice I’d be grateful. Thanks a lot for reading.

im prefacing by saying i do not want my ex back but i had an unfortunate breakup and there was a lot unsaid on my ex's end once again i dont want him to come back i just want some sort of forgiveness from him or just anything in that realm that could possibly acknowledge his part in everything. This is especially important because I dont want to have any negative thoughts into this whatsoever, I believe strongly in 3 fold law and making sure my intentions are pure. I don't believe in forcing someone to do or feel something but I do believe the answers are within him and he knows what he did. Not sure what type of spell i should be looking into but any thoughts and info appreciated even if you think i shouldnt be doing this at all! Anything is appreciated. dont know where to start tbh.

i did a prayer and lit a candle with herbs on friday, and saw very slight results almost immediately after. but very very small results. I needed a kick or a boost. so i repeated it last night, wednesday. but something didnt feel right this time, maybe because i was expecting another result right after, or i did it too quickly? i dont know. now im scared i ruined both rituals.

Me and my partner stick to ourselves. We’ve grown apart from family, friends just like every other dynamic people go through none of these had a bad ending just grown apart.

NOW from June 2026 right up until now BAD things had happened to us. I was put into hospital, my health is decreasing, my partner has been getting sick easier and she never gets sick, our landlord is selling our property.

We want to know how to do a protection spell or cleansing spell for us both incase it starts getting dark.

We do have 3 people in mind we do not have contact with and some of these have been years since we’ve talked but we are scared and need help on how to: break it, cleanse ourselves and then to protect ourselves.

For context: I personally don't practice any kind of witchcraft or dabble in anything else in regard to spirituality. I believe I only ever tried manifestation when it got really popular, saw no results, and just went on with my life. I always intuitively knew that there existed more to this world than the material, but I thought I knew all too well that trying to understand something so high above my awareness would lead to nothing.

I won't drag this on before explaining the events but you do need to know some background about me. I'm relatively young, and I can confidently say that over 90% of my life has been absolutely horrible. Trauma, abuse, you name it. With that said, I still felt drawn to something greater. A personal goal of mine, a life I wanted to lead. It got me through the worst times of my life, and I am now here, as in, occupying the location in which I envisioned my dream for so many years.. Surprise surprise, it wasn't all that good. The place was great, but I had envisioned so many other things, to which I have only been met with disappointment after disappointment despite mercilessly pursuing them, like I always have with this dream.

So, it all sucks. And then... one day, something happened. I have been thinking about this for so long now because I cannot trace a possible cause. I performed no magical ritual of any sorts- no 'manifestation' the day prior, nothing, but everything changed. I mean this with all the energy I can possibly showcase through text- I am never one to say forces beyond my control affected this, but there is no plausible explanation. I met the people I wanted to meet. Please bear with me as I attempt to describe this, but I had this strange "magnetism?" I got so many compliments despite not changing anything about the way I looked, and if that was all this was I wouldn't be making this post I would just chalk it up to a good day but no, very specific "lucky" things were happening to me. They aligned so perfectly with my dream that, as easy as it would be to say, "just coincidence," no. No way. All these good things were happening to me to the point that I felt things were far too good.

And this is where things start to go bad again. I became aware of all these great things happening to me, and gradually, it all went back to the way it was. The next day was so bad that it was almost comical. Like... slipping on banana peel type comical. I felt such a strange dissociation from it because of this. Im very used to unfavorable circumstance, but the contrast here was more shocking than it was saddening.

The following day it got worse. Its so strange. I literally lived my dream life for a day, then went back, I still kept researching, but that day felt so bizarre. Following this, the daily blows of life were so much stronger. Sure, psychology could explain that with the contrast, but no... I literally felt like I was in the wrong world. Merely the state of "existing" felt wrong. Like I was in the wrong reality or something. That singular day I felt completely whole, and then it felt like I got knocked so far back from that.

Anyway, like I said, after so much research, I still don't know or even have a smidge of an answer. It couldn't have been a ritual of any kind, I wasn't casting any ceremonies either, but worse of it all was that after reading , it seems like the common consensus is not "this practice will completely change your life", its more like "doing x may make your chances at this part of your life more favorable by a bit." Thats what feels so maddening about all this. Even if I could say "definitely, chaos magick", for instance, it couldn't explain how one day was so radically amazing and then I went back because it doesn't seem to be a 0->100, but more like a 0->15.

Im sorry for such a long post, but I am in desperate need of guidance. I just saw everything I wanted get dangled in front of my face then get snatched away like it was nothing. If anyone knows something, or even just a recommendation, anything- it would be so appreciated. Thank you.

hey guys !! im a (baby??) witch whos been practicing folk magic basically my whole life , but ive recently decided to take my craft more seriously and learn a bit more than just the knowledge that was passed down to me.

for a bit of context :
ive done a lot of ancestor work over the few years that ive been actively practicing. my grandmother (who i work with the most) is recently passed. she was cremated , and i dont speak to my family (who has her ashes) so i have to get kinda creative when trying to bring her closer to our realm. i occasionally collect grave YARD dirt (obv along with doing other things) when doing workings with and involving my grandmother when i feel that her presence isnt strong enough. its mostly symbolic obviously. i can give more reasoning if anybody is interested but this doesnt rly have much to do with what im about to ask.

ANYWAYS ..
okay so theres this cemetery in my city that ive always felt very connected to. growing up i would visit it whenever i would argue with my family or if i just needed a quiet place to sit. when i would go there as a kid there was this one specific grave that i would visit ALL. THE. TIME. it belonged to a little girl who passed very young a very long time ago. i always felt she would appreciate the company , since there was likely nobody left to remember her. i would talk to her about literally everything.
i recently moved back to my home town and i needed some grave yard dirt for a working so i thought what better place to go.
whenever and wherever i go to collect graveyard dirt i always kinda have the same routine
- i introduce myself to the spirits
- i tell them why im there , and thank them for welcoming me
- i walk around , read some headstones and say hello.
- then i try to clean up a bit , and uncover some of those flat headstones (idk what theyre called lol but the ones that lay flat to the ground) just by pushing of any leaves and dusting away the dirt
- then , and only then do i say my prayer , leave an offering and ask for permission to take some dirt (like i said before , im only taking dirt from the general grounds. ive never taken dirt from a grave and im not sure i ever will)

so yesterday i was going through my regular routine and cleaning up some of the buried headstones. i had uncovered a bunch of them and i was just about ready to finish up and say my prayer and leave my offering. i was standing beside a tree and just looking around for any more headstones that needed some attention. i had felt just about ready to leave when i heard a bird chirp in the tree (quite loudly) and i dont mean to sound like im going through psychosis but i just felt like my job wasnt done. so i looked around the tree for anything else that was covered that i may have missed. i didnt see anything so i was like okay cool it was just a bird then. but it chirped again , and i heard some SERIOUS rustling in the tree which wasnt happening before , so i looked into the tree to see what was up , and at this point i was REALLY starting to feel like there was something i was missing. buried behind the branches of this huge (but relatively low hanging??) tree i saw that there was in fact a headstone there , and it wasnt flat. it was one of those big fancy headstones , and right beside it there was another smaller one leaning against it. i tried to uncover it the best i could (i figured the bird was trying to tell me that they wanted to be uncovered as well) but because it was a living tree with very long branches there wasnt much i could do aside from clearing some of the dust and letting them know im sorry they got covered up like this.

its been on my mind all day tho. i was just wondering what you would do about this. im not a big fan of going and messing around in graveyards , it often feels wrong to change too much and i definitely feel a bit weird about hurting the nature in them. but something is telling me they dont want to be hidden , and it hurts my heart to see them forgotten. would i be wrong if i brought some trimmers to clear out some of the branches ?? i would obviously do some divination first to be sure that thats what THEY want.
