Time slots and no returning stars are not real reasons for reality shows flopping

Every time a new reality competition show bombs and is cancelled after only one season(or silently cancelled due to the show not getting mentioned months after the finale aired), it’s always blamed on the show’s time slot, but Amazing Race 39 proved that isn’t the case. So here’s what Networks should do to stop shows from flopping(I know I’ve touched on this before, but here are more reasons why seasons like Amazing Race 39,
1. Cast people who want to compete and hire hosts that actually want to be on the show: If you watch Fear Factor:House Of Fear, it’s easy to tell that Johnny Knoxville wants to be there, compared to a host like Manu Bennett on The Summit who sounds bored and like he’d rather be at home with his girls(Phil would’ve been a much better host, given how fun he was)
2. Read The Room/Know your show’s audience: As much as we all love to hate them, Shows like Masked Singer and Big Brother are mainly for audiences who love more comedic styled shows, Fox’s shows like Extracted(survival fans), The Floor(fans of trivia shows) and Fear Factor(mainly audiences who’ve never seen the original show)had great marketing that exclusively targeted certain audiences that preferred their types of gameplay. Even Traitors:New Blood has been attracting audiences who never watched the original show. For example, Summit looked more like a show that would air on National Geographic than a social competition show(which it was, but Survivor fans who were the target audience didn’t know that because the tv spots CBS aired never told them) same with the Road which announced a music competition(but sold a more documentary styled show(that pretty much confused both audiences)and America’s Culinary Cup(which lets be honest, I don’t think CBS’s audience and the viewers watching March Madness were the right audiences)
3. Give the shows better Titles. Would you have told that The Real Love Boat was a competition show if you only saw the title? Of course not because it doesn’t suggest one, The Floor, Next Level Chef, and Amazing Race all explain the format in the title
5. Keep the illusion of being real/Give audiences a reason to care about these people. Extracted made the show feel like it was genuine where the emotional moments really made you feel, and Survivor and Amazing Race have been doing something like this(You can tell Liz really felt upset over being denied Applebee’s and you can tell Eva was starting to feel frustrated.(Audiences don’t want artificial drama that is obviously fake, which is what I attributed to killing the talent competition genre)
