External screen Android 17
Hello everyone, for those who have received the A17 update, have you noticed any changes to the external display? I use it quite a bit, but I don't find it entirely satisfactory

Hey all,
Last year we added flair options so users could select their Razr phone as their flair to make it easier for everyone to know which phone model they're currently using.
We've added all the 2026 models including the Fold as of today, so please feel free to update your flair. If any model of Razr is missing, please let me know.

First Motorola, flip phone, and android. Anything important I should know, also where do I find cases for it, any good suggestions?
Android 17 release:
Smarter, Safer, and More Productive
Enjoy a fresh, expressive design
Reduce clutter with smarter notifications
Multitask faster and keep more apps accessible at once..
I haven't had the time to go through any of the new additions yet but I immediately noticed the new status bar on top, layout of your live notifications page and etc....
One thing I certainly miss is the OG named Android versions like Jellybean and KitKat. That needs to come back. 💯
I've been a Moto fanboy for many years with several Note's & Stylus phones under my belt. I have always thought the moto actions were great features and I shook for camera and flashlight constantly. I bought a Razr 2025 and the flashlight will not turn on about 90% of the time when closed and 50% of the time when open. The camera twist fares slightly better but not enough to be trustworthy.
Is there a calibrate function I can perform to improve the accuracy of these functions?

Does anyone know how to enable the moto watch app so it can be accessed as an app on the external display of a razr fold or ultra 2025?
Recentemente comprei o Razr 60, acabei percebendo que o jogo da tela externa que já veio no Motorola ele sempre trava no nível 4.
Alguém sabe como corrigir ?

(Disclaimer: I promise I'm not a contrarian, I'm genuinely asking those who might also have this phone and whether or not these issues are exclusive to me 🫠)
So I am a millennial who caved to the nostalgia pull and switched from my Zflip 4 to a Razr 2025 this past year and genuinely....I think it's worse in almost every way and it's so frustrating 😭
HUGE lack of cases/accessories, no gifs for the front screen, widgets (particularly Spotify) sticking on my drop-down no matter what, not being able to adjust the pictures/clock placement you set at the front screen and just hoping it lines up, sound from the speakers being inconsistent without manually changing anything, constantly having my speakers lower randomly without action from myself bc of "dangerous sound volumes" and not being able to turn that off, having to fully restart the phone almost daily when some of the above problems occur, etc.
None of these issues existed on my zflip or if they did I was able to turn them off/adjust in settings. Am I the only one who thinks this is super frustrating or am I missing something? If I'm just dumb and can't figure it out I'd like to know just please be nice 😅

I have a Motorola Razr 50 ultra.
I went on a work trip which required me to fly and set airplane mode on the phone. Might be unrelated, but when i arrived there, my internal screen suddenly became unreactive to touch.
Animations still worked (volume up and down) and the phone seemed completely normal besides that. After trying a lot of stuff I eventually shut it down for 20 minutes and that seemed to make it work again.
When returning home from the trip the same happened again, although this time the phone only became unresponsive 10/20 minutes after landing.
I've restarted it 100x, shut if off for hours, went into recovery mode, tried to install updates, put the phone into safe mode, nothing seems to work. The outer screen shell has also suddenly started to lift.
The only thing I haven't tried is factory reset, because I have a lot (like a lot) of stuff on my phone, and frankly, at this point I'm not sure if that would even help.
I take really good care of my phone. I don't drop it, wet it, or leave it in the sun/cold.
Outer screen works completely fine.
Has anyone else had a similar case or know what else I can try?
Edit: I've tried to take it to phone repair, but they either won't look at the phone or won't do it until I buy a new internal screen.

I want to get a Motorola Razr 60, and i’ve found it on Amazon but the seller isn’t Amazon, it’s another place (i’m from Italy). I don’t know where, but i’ve read some time ago that if i got a Motorola phone from an unauthorised seller, i wouldn’t be able to get MotoCare with it.
Now, i’ve found the phone on another website, and i wanted to check that rule again, but i can’t find it anywhere so i’m starting to question whether i’ve read it fr or not. This website says explicitly that the products it sells are legit, new and closed.
Did someone buy a Motorola phone from somewhere else (not motorola website or sold by amazon) and did you manage to put the MotoCare on it? Or if you’re someone who read that rule, do you remember where you have read it?

I got razr fold after 10 years with Samsung. I honestly have never had phone battery this good. Last phone was s25 ultra.
Everyone in Samsung forums would tell u these hacks to extend battery life, or wait a week for AI to adjust whatever.
I am on day 2 razr fold, did what I usually do with s25 ultra if not more and battery is 44 percent after almost 12 hours of continuous use and screen on time and video chats
This phone is insane and I am done with Samsung and their poor battery phones

I want to tell at the beginning that I live in Finland, so our products already include a 25.5% tax in the price.
The Razr 70 Ultra is currently on sale for 1290€ and I have been thinking about it. At first I was thinking about the Samsung’s Flip Z 8, but Flip and the Razr are almost the same price and the Motorola should have better specs and people call it the better ”folding / flipping phone”.
I currently have a 14 Pro Max, which I have had for 4 years. It has been 7 years since I had an android last time, (Samsung S9+ in 2019).
Do you think the Razr 70 Ultra would be worth it? I know that the software support is… pretty short (security updates till february 2030, so 3.5 years left?)

Hey everyone,
I've been daily driving the Razr 50 Ultra and trying to unlock its true potential, but I’ve hit a wall with Motorola’s software restrictions.
I want to use the cover screen for regular apps while the phone is completely open (unfolded flat). I know Moto aggressively shuts off the outer display via the hinge sensor to save battery and prevent palm touches, but the hardware is clearly capable of keeping it on the camera preview works flawlessly while the phone is fully open.

It feels like a huge missed opportunity for this device. Any ideas or experiments from the community are welcome!

I've been perusing some posts here regarding the black screen of death or LCD bleeds, but that doesn't appear to be what's happening with mine. Last month I traded my old phone for a Razr 2026, and I was really excited about the switch.
Unfortunately, it's mega buggy. Most of the bugs I have found fixes for, but there's one that I cannot isolate, and that's that unlocking my phone will, only sometimes, cause both screens to go entirely black. The lock/unlock button does nothing, charging does nothing. It does not detect me double-tapping the screen to try to wake. It just goes completely unresponsive.
During these events, the phone appears to be fully off, as I have missed calls, but even if it were off, it should still react in some way when I plug it in, but it doesn't. The only way out of this is to press and hold the power/lock button for something like 20 seconds to force a reboot.
This only happens some of the time, and not very often, making it difficult to isolate contributing factors like what apps are running. The only things I know for sure are as follows:
There have been several other user-experience issues, but I'm still weighing out how much of those are influenced by my unfamiliarity with this OS, so I'll probably make posts for those at later times.
Any insight would be helpful! I tried to see if I could roll this back to Android 14, but the phone appears to be too new. If there's another way I can force this off of A16 to A14 instead, I'm all ears!

Back in 2023, Motorola had a buy-one-get-one-free deal on the 2023 Moto Razr Plus, along with a $400 trade-in credit if you traded in a 2020 Moto Razr 5G. It was still very expensive at the time, but I wanted a decent phone specifically for playing Call of Duty: Mobile.
I played on one of those 2023 Moto Razr Plus phones every day until I accidentally put a small hole in the screen protector. After that, I switched to the second phone I had received. For some reason, the second phone never felt as smooth as the first one when playing Call of Duty: Mobile. I could never figure out why until now.
Recently, I removed the screen protectors from both phones, and to my surprise, they both perform even better for gaming. The touch response feels smoother, and gameplay seems more responsive than before.

My old iPhone is slowly dying, and after 5 years im finally returning to android and I wanted to get a flip phone, but I have some small questions first.
Is this cellphone fragile? Taking a small look on this subreddit it makes me feel that it is.
Should I get a 50 plus or a 60?
How long did it take for you to get accustomed with using a flip phone?
Thank you for your paciente and responses!

Quite the unfortunate incident happened, and let's just say the inner (main) screen of my Moto Razr 40 Ultra is busted. 25% of the inside upper half has visible screen, and the rest has separated from what I believe is the liquid crystal membrane.
Without access to the inner screen, is there any way I can navigate around the apps that required the inner screen to operate? I do have an OTG dongle, so I can use a mouse; just that I need to cast the inner screen. Thank you in advance.
I can't figure out how to turn off the speaker when I make or receive a call while using the external display. Does anyone know how to do this?

On my Razr+ 2024, I'm specifically trying to listen to an audiobook using Episteme reader. Any time I fold it, the audio stops about a minute later. I've tried keeping it open, but then the audio stops about a minute later.
"Allow background usage" is on for Episteme, and for the other apps I use for sound. I've tried to do some research but nothing seems to fix it.
Any thoughts?
