💬 Discussion In Rainbows HAS A DISK 2??? WHAT
*PLEASE DO NOT BITE MY HEAD OFF. The internet is scary, and i am nice.*
I love Radiohead with my whole heart. And I am a very introverted person. I don't read many articles about the band, and don't usually engage online with other fans. My relationship with the band has always been a very solo, very personal one.
It might be because of this that after ALL of these many years I just found out TODAY that *In Rainbows has a Disk 2*. I have every single album on vinyl that I've come across and even have a few CDs and tapes that i haven't worn out yet. I was working today and needed to get out of my head, so I figured I'd visit IR. I recently signed up for qobuz and dug for the album and (I thought) I put it on. Started listening to a song I had never heard before and almost shit my pants like lol did I just cross into a new timeline. I fumbled around on my phone and lo and behold, yup; this is disk two. The cover is really similar, but now I'm seeing it isnt the same. How did I miss this???
Has this happened to anyone else? I feel so goddam dumb. Also, hooray and waaaahh because this might be the last time I listen to a new Radiohead album. Whatta day.

🎸 Cover Found a beautiful CD for my collection.
I know it’s not an official release and is most likely a bootleg, but its design and artwork really caught my eye. I think it’ll be a great addition to my Radiohead collection.

⭐ Review Gravity always wins: I officially fell down the Radiohead rabbit hole
I never really dwelled into Radiohead somehow, heard a few songs always.
But now I’ve started going deep into Radiohead, and I can’t stop damn. It’s beautiful. It’s making me feel sad, but more alive and hopeful.

💬 Discussion What's your most personal Radiohead song?
Subterranean homesick alien
When I was 7 years old I had an imaginary friend from a cartoon that I can't even remember I had many embarrassing situations because of that I grew up more and I read quite some novels and with every novel I read my imagination gets wider and wider to a point where I hated how real the world feels I was dying to live an imaginary world whenever I think of the imaginary world I wanna be in I get a slight panic , the instrumental of Subterranean homesick alien reminds me of that world every time I listen to it I hear sounds that aren't even in the song it's like it's constantly changing. Once I get a job I will definitely buy OK computer and amnesiac CDs with the highest quality possible to listen to all the possible sounds they can offer
Also my top Radiohead songs are (not in order)
Subterranean homesick alien
Werid fishes
Life in a glass house
How to disappear completely
Knives out
Dollar cents
Man of war
Let down
Nice dream
Paranoid Android (especially live version 2003 at Glastonbury)
15 steps
Reckoner
All Radiohead songs are personal for me

💬 Discussion Paranoid Android Appreciation post
This song is so beautiful. The switch up, the beat, idk I'm not a music student but the composition is so good. The lyrics are a masterpiece. Im working on a music app and I work with lyrics a lot and this is my go to song because it has everything, deviating tempo, slow pronunciation, background vocals, simultaneous vocals. I just love this song SO MUCH

💬 Discussion Vegetable is one of the most underrated rh songs
Yeah yeah I know, everyone likes to hate on Pablo Honey… and believe me, I like all of Radiohead as much as the next loser that hates on that album, I love it all from the heavy guitars, depressing atmospheres and even love the crazy blip blops since I can have a sense of a musical memory but hey… honestly recently I’ve been listening to “Vegetable” more often than many and I wonder… why do people not mention it at least like some do with “You”. It’s better than most Brit stuff from the era á là blur, oasis (fuck that bloke shit) and others.
Fight me if you will or listen to it and open your eyes
btw not saying either it’s one of the best, wouldn’t include it in my top 30 songs still

⭐ Review 1st Anniversary as a Radiohead fan
I love Radiohead, and I don’t think I’ll ever find a band that I am so mentally attached to.
Though it may sound so quick, especially to older fans, but I’ve started listening to Radiohead for a whole year straight until now. There is not a single day where a song from Radiohead was played. Now that I THINK I’ve listened to every single songs, EP, and albums songs in chronological order, I’ll list my top 50 songs and a random comment too: (Feel free to say what you want!)
1: Nude - Never lost its place in the leaderboard the entire year, I’m in love with this song.
2: Go Slowly - My favourite B-side, it just gives off True Love vibes
3: Faithless the Wonderboy - Super underrated, surprised how not a lot of fans know this song.
4: I Promise - Also an under-appreciated OKNOTOK song
5: Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong - Straight up a yearning song
6: Present Tense - Wow. The verse “In you I’m lost” is just so beautiful.
7: Yes I Am - Super sad how this wasn’t with the album Pablo Honey. Fits super well after “Creep”.
8: I Can’t - Really love how this was purposefully placed after “Prove Yourself” in Pablo Honey. Super sad and amazing. Big fan of the intro.
9: On A Friday/A Happy Song - Not something I’d expect from Radiohead, but I’m totally into it!
10: I am A Wicked Child - Again, super underrated.
11: Trans-Atlantic Drawl - This song PERFECTLY
encapsulates Radiohead’s core and message around the band of being genre-dynamic. They never stick to one genre and abandon what truly made them trendy and chased something out-of-norm. This song is the perfect example for them, as it has this super strong intro but halfway through the song it transitions into something more sinister or uncanny, almost as if something Radiohead never made.
12: Blow Out (Remix) - I like this version better because it starts off with the vocals and a silent start, which shifts back into the original song. Though a small change to many, I believe it upgrades the atmosphere of the song for quite a lot!
13: Killer Cars (Mogadon Version) - The Telecom in the background playing, and not having a lot of instruments playing the background makes it more better for me compared to the other version, which imo felt more empty an rushed.
14: Sail To The Moon - Fan of the flowy, moon-like vibes. Also a believer that this song is worthy to be in AMSP
15: The Bends - I LOVE IT
16: Creep - Worth mentioning considering how this song is the one that introduced me to this beloved band.
17: Let Down - Same as Creep. Really grateful for these 2 songs.
18: Vegetable - I AM NOT A VEGETABLE, I WILL NOT CONTROL MYSELF
19: Talk Show Host - Unironically, a really good song to make out/cuddle to 👀
20: Tree-fingers - Radiohead makes surprisingly good ambient, background and interlude musics.
21: I Will (Los Angeles Version) - Compared to the original HTTT version, this one feels more fatherlike and personal rather than political.
22: (Nice Dream) - Ironic how this song gives me nightmares in my sleep. Oh how hauntingly beautiful this song is, I could never explain it.
23: Pearly* - Outro is astronomical.
24: Subterranean Homesick Alien - Name speaks for itself, it makes you feel out of place, like an alien in a crowd.
25: High and Dry - Beautiful. Can sing this by heart!
26: India Rubber - The laughing in the outro is mockingly beautiful. It’s as if the song was made to taunt you.
27: How to Disappear into Strings - It’s just an instrumental of How to Disappear Completely, but I’ve always loved the instruments of this song.
28: TTSSRMPMBMT - I’ve memorized this title from heart! I’ve always used this song title as a good tongue/speaking exercise in the morning, helps my speech come in quick early in the morning. Other than that, the song is super good!
29: Bulletproof… I wish I was - Idk it’s just good.
30: There There - Super duper good
31: 2 + 2 = 5 - A great opener to HTTT btw.
32: Life in a Glasshouse (full length) - A huge fan with small changes to original songs, especially this one, which starts with a cool trumpet playing.
33: You and Whose Army - Starts off silent and stoic, then all unveils into chaos in the end. Love it.
34: Hunting Bears - Feels like a song played in the background of a standoff between two gunslingers.
35: Street Spirit (Fade Out) - IMMERSE YOUR SOUL IN LOVE, I have that as my bio in one of my social media accounts.
36: Give Up The Ghost - King of Limb is an interesting album, a good one at that.
37: Lotus Flower - Feels like the climax part of a movie.
38: Ill Wind - Nice. The “Keep your cool” felt soooo angelic and ethereal.
39: Worrywort - probably their most videogame-like music they’ve ever made.
40: Bloom (Blue Planet Documentary Remix) - Possibly their most unexpected collaboration, but is somewhat fitting with the name of the song and the description of the documentary.
41: True Love Waits (Live in Oslo) - Hot take, but this is infinitely more better than the original version, I’ll stand by this rock for the rest of my life if I have to.
42: Polyethylene (1&2) - The lyrics and the overall dark message of the song makes it seems hopeful, at least for me. As if the song is trying to tell you that despite all these hardships, you can keep going. I know it’s not the exact meaning, but it’s how I interpret it.
43: Fake Plastic Trees - A song heavily inspired by Jeff Buckley? I’m just sad how he never truly heard this song from Radiohead, he would’ve loved it.
44: Identikit - Broken hearts make it rain!
45: Man of War - I’d like to think this was inspired by the creature Man-o-war, especially how the atmosphere of the album has blue as the major colour, which is also the major colour of the animal.
46: My Iron Lung - Love the guitar parts, you can tell how this song is made solely for the band to find a way to complain about Creep.
47: Lozenge of Love - Soft and not loud at all, I liked this song.
48: Paranoid Android - Feels like 5 songs crammed into one, yet it works really well.
49: House of Cards - Really good, surprised how this isn’t famous compared to other In Rainbow Sons.
50: Just - Super Rocky, I like it.
I know this list isn’t that much impressive, but it shows how much I really LOVE this band. Don’t stop being you, dear Radiohead!
P.S: Please don’t go at me for being a new fan and not knowing much about Radiohead 🥲. I apologize in advance if I ever offended anyone.

💬 Discussion An interesting playlist challenge: spell RADIOHEAD using song titles
Had a slightly ridiculous idea earlier.
The challenge is simple: make a nine-track Radiohead playlist where the first letter of each song spells out RADIOHEAD.
Album tracks, B-sides, rarities — anything officially released is fair game.
A few rules:
- The tracks must spell R-A-D-I-O-H-E-A-D, in that order.
- No repeating songs.
- Use the actual first letter of the title. No cheating by ignoring "A" or "The".
- Bonus points if the playlist actually flows well as something you'd want to listen to (ps. no points actually given).
An example:
R — Reckoner
A — Airbag
D — Decks Dark
I — Idioteque
O — Optimistic
H — How to Disappear Completely
E — Everything in Its Right Place
A — All I Need
D — Daydreaming
As far as I can tell, Optimistic is the only officially released Radiohead song beginning with O. Which means every single playlist has to contain it, in exactly the same position.
Rather fitting, really. No matter how miserable your selection gets, you're forced to be Optimistic halfway through.
I also started looking at the combinatorics of it. There are potentially hundreds of thousands of different combinations, although obviously not all of them would make particularly good playlists.
Can you come up with a better RADIOHEAD playlist?
I'm particularly interested in ones that work as a coherent listening experience, rather than simply filling the nine slots. And if anyone can find another legitimate O, I'd love to hear it.

💬 Discussion The sound(effect) in the background of the national anthem(4:03-4:07) sounds exactly like begging of the numbers
Initially i thought it sounded similar to decks dark but then re listening Amsp i found that this effect is very similar to the numbers . Interesting if they just reused some material they had or what

💬 Discussion What kind of set list can we expect in japan 2026?
Honest question, I haven't seen their latest concerts, but what can we expect to see there?
Thanks a bunch ❤️
