💬 Discussion In Rainbows HAS A DISK 2??? WHAT
*PLEASE DO NOT BITE MY HEAD OFF. The internet is scary, and i am nice.*
I love Radiohead with my whole heart. And I am a very introverted person. I don't read many articles about the band, and don't usually engage online with other fans. My relationship with the band has always been a very solo, very personal one.
It might be because of this that after ALL of these many years I just found out TODAY that *In Rainbows has a Disk 2*. I have every single album on vinyl that I've come across and even have a few CDs and tapes that i haven't worn out yet. I was working today and needed to get out of my head, so I figured I'd visit IR. I recently signed up for qobuz and dug for the album and (I thought) I put it on. Started listening to a song I had never heard before and almost shit my pants like lol did I just cross into a new timeline. I fumbled around on my phone and lo and behold, yup; this is disk two. The cover is really similar, but now I'm seeing it isnt the same. How did I miss this???
Has this happened to anyone else? I feel so goddam dumb. Also, hooray and waaaahh because this might be the last time I listen to a new Radiohead album. Whatta day.

⭐ Review Gravity always wins: I officially fell down the Radiohead rabbit hole
I never really dwelled into Radiohead somehow, heard a few songs always.
But now I’ve started going deep into Radiohead, and I can’t stop damn. It’s beautiful. It’s making me feel sad, but more alive and hopeful.

⭐ Review A new Radiohead listener. OK Computer made me cry.
I don’t know if appreciation posts are allowed in this subreddit but I wanted to express my experience I had. I have talked negatively about Radiohead because they started getting popular but I never really listened to the music. I regret that. I listened to OK Computer today and it was an emotional experience different from ones I’ve usually had with music. I am proud to say Ive started my Radiohead journey (I went back and listened to the first two albums as well, don’t worry). Thank you for your time!

🎸 Cover Found a beautiful CD for my collection.
I know it’s not an official release and is most likely a bootleg, but its design and artwork really caught my eye. I think it’ll be a great addition to my Radiohead collection.

💬 Discussion An interesting playlist challenge: spell RADIOHEAD using song titles
Had a slightly ridiculous idea earlier.
The challenge is simple: make a nine-track Radiohead playlist where the first letter of each song spells out RADIOHEAD.
Album tracks, B-sides, rarities — anything officially released is fair game.
A few rules:
- The tracks must spell R-A-D-I-O-H-E-A-D, in that order.
- No repeating songs.
- Use the actual first letter of the title. No cheating by ignoring "A" or "The".
- Bonus points if the playlist actually flows well as something you'd want to listen to (ps. no points actually given).
An example:
R — Reckoner
A — Airbag
D — Decks Dark
I — Idioteque
O — Optimistic
H — How to Disappear Completely
E — Everything in Its Right Place
A — All I Need
D — Daydreaming
As far as I can tell, Optimistic is the only officially released Radiohead song beginning with O. Which means every single playlist has to contain it, in exactly the same position.
Rather fitting, really. No matter how miserable your selection gets, you're forced to be Optimistic halfway through.
I also started looking at the combinatorics of it. There are potentially hundreds of thousands of different combinations, although obviously not all of them would make particularly good playlists.
Can you come up with a better RADIOHEAD playlist?
I'm particularly interested in ones that work as a coherent listening experience, rather than simply filling the nine slots. And if anyone can find another legitimate O, I'd love to hear it.

💬 Discussion Vegetable is one of the most underrated rh songs
Yeah yeah I know, everyone likes to hate on Pablo Honey… and believe me, I like all of Radiohead as much as the next loser that hates on that album, I love it all from the heavy guitars, depressing atmospheres and even love the crazy blip blops since I can have a sense of a musical memory but hey… honestly recently I’ve been listening to “Vegetable” more often than many and I wonder… why do people not mention it at least like some do with “You”. It’s better than most Brit stuff from the era á là blur, oasis (fuck that bloke shit) and others.
Fight me if you will or listen to it and open your eyes
btw not saying either it’s one of the best, wouldn’t include it in my top 30 songs still

💬 Discussion What's your most personal Radiohead song?
Subterranean homesick alien
When I was 7 years old I had an imaginary friend from a cartoon that I can't even remember I had many embarrassing situations because of that I grew up more and I read quite some novels and with every novel I read my imagination gets wider and wider to a point where I hated how real the world feels I was dying to live an imaginary world whenever I think of the imaginary world I wanna be in I get a slight panic , the instrumental of Subterranean homesick alien reminds me of that world every time I listen to it I hear sounds that aren't even in the song it's like it's constantly changing. Once I get a job I will definitely buy OK computer and amnesiac CDs with the highest quality possible to listen to all the possible sounds they can offer
Also my top Radiohead songs are (not in order)
Subterranean homesick alien
Werid fishes
Life in a glass house
How to disappear completely
Knives out
Dollar cents
Man of war
Let down
Nice dream
Paranoid Android (especially live version 2003 at Glastonbury)
15 steps
Reckoner
All Radiohead songs are personal for me

💬 Discussion Paranoid Android Appreciation post
This song is so beautiful. The switch up, the beat, idk I'm not a music student but the composition is so good. The lyrics are a masterpiece. Im working on a music app and I work with lyrics a lot and this is my go to song because it has everything, deviating tempo, slow pronunciation, background vocals, simultaneous vocals. I just love this song SO MUCH

I've always thought someone should make a flute cover of this song. It feels so medieval to me. I don't play the flute so i've made this cursed version with a midi file. Enjoy.
