Low Pulse Racing sucht Verstärkung! 🏎️💨 | Unkompliziertes iRacing-Team für Endurance-Rennen

Servus zusammen!

Was dich bei uns erwartet:

News Once in a lifetime capture of unscripted event due to Dynamic Puddles on a procedural track.

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd share what I have been working on, and catching the AI Slipping up in an unscripted event. 10

So proud of the logic of all the cars dynamically adjusting to the event.

Still some work to do on the wakes, but the dynamic weather is doing its job. I recreated Monza in the editor in game, exact 5.9km somehow got it right. Won't be included in the game due to licensing, but free to remake any tracks of your choosing with the in game editor, can change the terrain height to recreate the right elevation.

Oh and for the Sim enthusiasts. we now have wheel and pedal support with force feedback.

Arcade Racing FormulaSim - Racing Administration Game

Link: https://formulasimapp.com/

Essentially, you can create as many teams, drivers and races as you want and simulate qualifying and races. You can create as many leagues as you want. This web game is designed for people who enjoy the administration side of racing and keeping a log of statistics.

  1. Set up how many teams you want and how many drivers per team. Then you can either manually enter them or autofill.
  2. Decide how many drivers you want advancing to Q1 and Q2, the point system, if you want tires that degrade and how many pit stops are mandatory.
  3. Customize your schedule.
  4. Simulate qualifying with the simulator or manually force a result.
  5. Simulate the race with the simulator, which takes care of pit stops, overtaking, DNFs, and lapping, or complete the race manually, where you can control everything.
  6. Have fun!

Recommendation Dragonfly Racer (DFR) – My second update! Five tracks, high-speed racing, and a very different kind of handling.

Hey everyone!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HquToXgupxs

I shared Dragonfly Racer (DFR) here a little while ago, and I wanted to show you how much the game has evolved since then.

DFR is a racing game where you control a dragonfly flying at high speed around massive tree trunks, twisting through forests, swamps, and lagoons.

The idea is to create a different kind of racing experience. You're not driving on a road. You're constantly fighting inertia, centrifugal force, and your own speed while trying to stay in control.

I've now been working on five different tracks, each with its own atmosphere and challenges. The latest one takes place around a vibrant pond, with jumping fish, floating pollen, golden skies, and plenty of surprises.

I'm trying to capture that feeling of barely holding on at extreme speed, while still making the experience exhilarating rather than frustrating.

It's an indie project still in development, and I'd really love to hear what racing game fans think.

Does this look like something you'd want to play?

DFR on mac

The current playable build is for Mac, with Windows support planned.

Thanks for checking it out! 10

Discussion Despite having really good graphics, I think this game could have done much better, or am I wrong?

This game is over 10 years old and it got delisted from Steam in 2020, but it's not as fun as Grid 2 was.

Arcade Racing A Super Sprint clone

Made the graphics more modern, it needs some tweaks but it's a work in progress, some tracks still need better barrier detection and bridges need masking etc. Added a nitro boost and drift.

Still working on the points system, the spanners for power-ups needs refinement to make better sense too.

Just for fun.

Discussion What driving games have got a fan-made "PC port" so far?

Several games have got a "recomp" lately that lets them run on PC without an emulator, or at least virtually, by using an emulator layer on top, so they aren't really running natively on PC. But there are so many that it's getting harder to tell which ones are actually native ports and how many are just emulated.

So far, I've heard of Midnight Club 3, Midnight Club LA (not released to the public, I guess), and early Forza Horizon titles. Though what console-exclusive titles are actually natively running on PC thanks to fans, and what are not? (10)

Why is it so rare for racing game developers to take an approach similar to BeamNG.drive?

Isn't one of the biggest reasons BeamNG has built such a massive player base and remained popular for so many years the sheer amount of freedom it offers? The physics are incredible, sure, but I honestly don't think they're the main selling point. I think it's the endless possibilities that come with customization, modding, and user-created content.

And that's what I don't understand. Why do so few racing game developers prioritize freedom of customization (beyond just visual modifications) and user-generated content as core features?

Developers spend years creating detailed maps, elaborate storylines, carefully balanced progression systems, and limited, supposedly realistic upgrade options (which, honestly, can be pretty restrictive). I get that they're trying to stand out by offering a polished experience or doing something different from the competition. But why invest so much time and money into creating a largely predetermined experience when they could focus on giving players the tools to create their own?

Think about it: instead of constantly developing new official content to keep players interested? It would save so much time and effort. Why not build a game around the freedom to modify almost anything, experiment with different setups, create vehicles, design maps, and share content with the community? If the game is polished enough, players themselves could keep the game alive for years by continuously expanding what's possible without the need for developer intervention.

BeamNG.drive is the standing proof that there's a huge audience for this kind of experience. It's the one game that's actually optimized fully for that and it has sold millions of copies, and many players have put thousands of hours into it without running out of things to do. Storyline clearly isn't important here, because where's the story in BeamNG? And where's the incredible map and graphics? It doesn't really have that, and there are games that specialize in that already. The combination of its physics, sandbox freedom, and thriving modding community is what gives it a level of replayability.

So why hasn't this approach become more common? Is it a matter of development costs, technical limitations, licensing issues, business models, or simply the fact that most studios don't see this kind of freedom as a priority?

Genuinely, I'd love to understand why more racing games don't follow this philosophy. From a player's perspective, it seems like one of the most effective ways to create a game that stays fun, relevant, and endlessly replayable for years.
