Sooo I'm a publix associate that started going by my middle name instead of a nickname derived from my first name earlier this year. I went into passport and changed my preferred name to my middle name around the time I decided to make that change. Since then, I've gotten my engraved name tag, name on my register login, and even my name on Oasis updated to match my middle name. However, anytime I log into abcomputer, my old nickname comes up and it's genuinely starting to bother me. Does anyone know how i can go about getting this fixed? I'd like to think I can talk to a store manager about it or call IT, but I'm open to anything else I can possibly do. Thank you to anyone who took the time out of their day to read this!

My store just opened less than a month ago. I've been consistently getting 32 hours as a part-time employee, but on the schedule for the week after next, I have only 8. I found it a little odd.

They used to be the reasonable delivery option since they did not do mark ups like Instacart and didn’t add BS fees. I kinda knew it was too good to last but It’s disappointing to see this tech “Enshittification” happen everywhere.

I’m a huge fan of the Publix bakery white mountain bread. Always soft and fresh and apparently baked there everyday which had me thinking a lot of the other breads might not be baked there everyday. Which ones are? Or do they bring in frozen dough and bake onsite?

I remember trying their pie years ago and it didn't have the fake lime on top and it tasted fresher & more lime flavor. Just had one & it tasted like a frozen betty crocker pie idk if I remember it wrong or if it actually taste like shit now or always has

(Im an employee to preface this) If boomers would stop shopping here and just paying whatever price items are marked to there would probably be a difference in price. Roughly 75% of people who come through my store are elderly and drop a couple hundred like twice a week. Full carts compared to gen z and such have maybe 5 items most of the time? Its such a noticeable difference and multiple stores ive been to are like this. Also feel free to screenshot this bc the mods seem to be trigger happy recently.

It can be hard to judge some kinds of fruit for ripeness. But why can't whoever prepares the pre-cut and packaged melon chunks actually check it once it's been cut open? We've wasted way too much money on containers of mixed fruit that is not nearly ripe and is too hard to eat.

I’m transferring to a new store and the transfer date says the 24th but I’m still being put on schedule for old store, what do I do? I’ve also already been accepted from this store since last week.

don’t get me wrong. I love my job. I love the detail and hustle within working grocery. But I hate the constant abuse that I go through with my store. Anytime I try to request time off it gets denied, or I get pushed back or they simply just don’t look at it. I haven’t seen my father in months because guess what? they’re only off on weekends. do you know who never gets a weekend day off? the only GTL!😂 meanwhile my managers get full weekends off or four-day weekends. thats it. i’ve said my peace. i just need a break🫠
