I used to play the console version and I miss the old wardens that were added in the All day and night DLC, I've searched on the steam workshop for mods that add these wardens in but with no success. Is there any mods that introduce these wardens into the game that I've overlooked? If not is it even possible so that there's a possibility a modder may add it in the future?

I noticed in the trailer for prison architect on the PS4 that the warden looks a bit different, so I re-sprited him back into the pc edition. It just seems like a lot of effort to make a new guy just for the trailer.

I had no intention of dealing with dangerous inmates. I built a prison themed to the factory and set up a separate wing to house the most violent ones, and then he showed up in the prison bus. I honestly don’t know how to contain him—the stun guns don’t work on him half the time—and then he goes on a rampage and kills about four of my armed guards. He managed to kill 20 armed guards in about 50 days.

I really wish I could personally order his execution.

I don't know if it's the gangs, a lack of cell quality, not enough guards, idk. But I've made it to the 100 prisoner capacity mark a few times and after a while, ill start seeing murders happen more, danger level spiking despite all the needs being met, and it just makes the game not fun anymore because, despite the fact I'm providing all their needs and have a guard for every 2-3 prisoners, gangs are fighting and guards are getting marked and yadda yadda. Any advice?

Hi folks! as you can see i have the carpentry tables, and i have prisoners that have passed the carpentry apprenticeship + workshop safety. it seems that all they make is license plates though and I'm not sure why? If you have any input lmk!

So after a massive riot that ended in a certain area all the prisoners who had shotguns (my doing) were either killed or surrendered and dropped their shotguns in one area. My guards completely ignore the shotguns. They do not bag them. If I use the spawn menu to move the shotguns it will make a guard pick it up then put it back down. How do I remove the contraband? I have looked for mods to clear contraband and found none.

It's pretty cold over there, so I gave him a hat! Y'know, because he's bald guy.

Does anyone think it's possible at this point that an AI can fix up the code in this game to get rid of the bugs?

on second map of campaign, with burning prison and rioters. when i saw prison on fire i called firemen first to get fire out. but after fire is out, i cant dismiss firemen and they are blocking the road and won't let riot police and others thru ...

apparently there is suppose to be a RED x to dismiss firemen on firemen icon on right side of screen. but its not there now so i cant send them home and because there trucks is blocking road, way up on top of screen, NO ONE CAN GET THRU !!!

how do i fix this? restarting don't help. it does same thing ...

I’ve been thinking a lot about the prison management genre lately. Prison Architect is obviously the reference, but I feel like there’s room for new ideas, fresh mechanics, or just a modern take on the formula.

If a serious new competitor came out (or opened up for playtesting), would you be interested in trying it out and buying it?

More importantly, what are the main features, improvements, or fixes you’d absolutely want to see that Prison Architect lacks or didn’t get quite right?

I've been achievement hunting on the Xbox version of the game for the better part of a week now and I'm wondering whether or not using my prison sale profits would affect achievements that require a standard difficulty. It changes it to custom but you'd assume it'd still work considering you usually have to be using a standard difficulty to even sell prisons. I don't want to risk spending a bunch of time running a prison only for it to not count but at the same time I don't want to have to lose all of the money I could potentially be starting with. Any ideas?

P.S. I posted this a few months ago, then some amazing people joined in on the project and with their help and some Claude Code we got a much better and simpler version which is easier to setup. Works with pterodactyl too.

Can someone help me? My employees are hungry; the food is on the buffet in their room, but they aren't eating. How do I fix this?

Doctors goto staff room but then leave instantly. Is this a known bug or am I missing something. I got a small few mods, but none of them mess with staff.

I like making tiny prisons, but I want to try and divert from the 'center perks' style a little. Is there any other prison style I should try making?

I have all the facilities they need, I only have 5 armed guards and i don't over staff their entertainment areas and they have plenty to eat, and i only have about 60ish max sec prisoners, this seems to always happen where I'm stuck in a loop of prisoners being upset turning into a daily cycle of death and destruction. If there isn't any practical fix for this, is there any mods that change prisoner behavior so that they're a bit more content with what they have?
